But Mariana, it's good that only one of them in the QF, right? And that's time will come with in 12 hours. I goes for Serena, I like her more than Venus. But I don't know how many hours she can manage for the pratice lately? We will see. ;D

WOW! I had to go a long way back to find this thread. Anyway found this article on the bbc website - serena is ranked 140 , but she is coming back. Confident Serena aims to dominate Former world number one Serena Williams, 24, says she is confident she can become a dominant force on the WTA Tour when she returns from injury. "I definitely think so, if I didn't I wouldn't be trying to play," she said. "There is definitely some potential there - I hope to go out there and blow the joint up." Williams will play for the first time since January at next week's Western and Southern Financial Group Women's Open in Cincinnati. The American has not played since the Australian Open because of an injury to her left knee. A seven-time Grand Slam champion, the frequently injured Williams began the year ranked 11th in the world but has subsequently slipped to 140th. She has played only four matches in the last nine months and is uncertain how her form will be when she first returns to action. "I am really excited to just get out there and do my thing - I hope I'm in good shape," she said. "My goals, I've always never said them out loud. I just expect to do what I do best and I think I play tennis best. And it's what I like to do best as well." She said that her break from tennis gave her time to recover mentally as well as physically. "I honestly just needed a mental break. I was going through a lot of stuff in my life, besides surgery and including surgery," said Williams. She would not specify what she was going through but added: "It was a lot - a lot that not everyone will understand or ever know." The Western and Southern Financial Group Women's Open starts in Cincinnati on 17 July. Defending champion Patty Schnyder of Switzerland, currently ranked 10th in the world, is the highest-ranked player in the field.
