Thanks again to Tennis Fool Anastasia Myskina. Hometown: Moscow. Age: 24. Current rank: 11. Playing style: ‘‘Fashion is very good for tennis; it makes it more interesting. It can be like a fashion show sometimes out there on court.’’ Career goals: ‘‘This year I want to make it into the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Championships in Madrid and finish the year in the Top 10. Long-term, I want to get back into the Top 5 and maybe even be No.1. Off the court, I just want to be happy; that’s all I need.’’ Would you ever appear in a music video? ‘‘Sure. I’d be in a James Blunt video.’’ Missoni minidress.

time to revive this thread..
Myskina, Zheng Victorious at Stockholm
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Top seed Anastasia Myskina handled her 2006 Nordea Nordic Light Open debut in style on Monday, beating wild card Alicia Molik, 76(5) 63. The victory over the former Top 10 player earned her a spot in the second round of the Tier IV event.
Myskina is making her second appearance at the only summer hardcourt tournament in Europe. Last year, she survived a trio of three set battles before falling to Katarina Srebotnik in the final. After making a quick exit at Cincinnati two weeks ago, Myskina hopes to gain some confidence here before her US Open preparation continues at Montréal and New Haven. Her next opponent is Urszula Radwanska, a 62 62 victor over Ekaterina Bychkova.

Heard on Eurosport News that Nastya was seriously considering quitting tennis if she didn't make it to the Masters Cup this year (is it in toronto?)..she said something about wanting to be at the top of something or she will do something else...that kind of bugs me..

I heard that a while back. She said she doesn't want to play tennis if she is not at top or something like that. Basicly it means that if she is not in top 8 she'll quit. I sure hope that she changes her mind. BTW I think Masters Cup is in Madrid this year.
