Holiday: A Place In The Sun By Missy
Chapter 1.
First impressions are always the worst, seconds are even better.
Missy gazed around the shop in amazement and horror. First of all she couldn't believe that this shop did any business, it was small and dark with barely enough light to see the contents on the shelf. Secondly who would want to buy those hideous and tacky dolls that would scare any child, hell it was even scaring Missy. Missy's basket was full to the brim with lots of necessary food such as chocolate, drinks and crisps {chips to you strange Americans}. All the healthy necessary food a girl should live on. She made her way slowly up to the counter looking at other food that might come in handy. Hell if she wanted more food she could always come back, it was only like 300 yards away from the house she was staying in. She placed the basket down on the counter emptying all the goods. The lady at the till mumbled something in Spanish, Missy just ignored her and assumed she had just cursing her for a being a tourist. Finally after what seemed like hours to Missy, the lady had swiped all the food through, everything was packed. The lady then said the price in Spanish. Missy just stood there blinking her eyes fast and furiously.
"Eh Que?" Missy said.
Her vocab of Spanish included 'Hola', 'Gracias' and 'Que.' The lady repeated the price again. Missy still didn't understand.
"Ok honey I don't speak Spanish so no matter how many times you say it I'm still not going to understand." Missy said a little bit too loud.
The lady then said the price again.
"No hablo Espanola. Write it downo???" Missy made international hand signals for the lady to jot down the price. The lady shrugged her shoulders and continued twittering in Spanish. Missy was getting tired of this communication barrier and tried to peer round to see the price on the till. The lady went berserk.
"Ok…ok calm down. I'm not trying to rob you; I couldn't even if I wanted to. I just want to know the goddamn price of my food and I'll be on my merry way. I can almost promise you, you will never ever see me again. Hell if I knew shopping would be this difficult I would have let Olivia do it." Missy mumbled.
Someone stepped up beside her. "Maybe I can be of some help." The person said beside Missy. Missy looked up at the towering giant beside her. Man he was tall, she thought to herself. Or maybe I'm just incredible small.
"Yes please. I want to know how much I have to pay for my food. She won't tell me because she knows I'm a foreigner." Missy said.
The tall man laughed and asked the lady in Spanish what Missy presumed was the price.
"She says 20 Euro and 13 cent." She rooted through her bag until she found her wallet. She handed over the exact amount and grabbed her shopping bags.
"Gracias." Missy said sweetly to the Lady, who just shot her a filthy look.
"Thank you." She called out to the man as she left the shop. Glancing one last time at the horrible little shop that had caused her so much pain. She almost dropped her bags in amazement as she gazed back into the shop. For the man who had helped her was none other then Marat Safin!

Meanwhile downtown Olivia was lost. The map she held had been no help to her. She couldn't remember where she had parked the car and now she couldn't find where she was. She looked around desperately trying to find a sign post or something that would tell her where she was. She looked around trying to see if she remembered where she had come from. The Museum had been somewhere up there…no over there…no wait it was defiantly up there. Olivia made her way slowly back up the road again. No that can't be it, that's the sea Olivia said to herself. The Museum had been no where near the sea. If only she hadn't stopped to look in that little place that had all the cute frogs, she had wanted to buy one for Missy whom she knew would love. And now she was lost in the middle of Valencia. Its time to get desperate now. She tried to stop the people walking by and ask for directions but none of them stopped. She finally managed to stop a crazy looking guy. "Excuse me can you help me. I don't know where I am." She asked him. He gave a hearty laugh. "You're in Valencia." And walked away. Olivia stuck her tongue out at him. "I know I'm in frickin Valencia." She murmured. Olivia must have wondered around the streets looking like a lost cause trying to find out where she was. The trouble was the map didn't have all these little alley ways with cool little cafes and nifty little shops. Olivia soon forgot about been lost and marveled this almost hidden part of Valencia. She glanced at her watch gasping at the time. Shit it was almost 6pm; she had to get home before Missy killed her. All she had to do was find the friggin' car park; the actual hard part would be trying to find the way back to the house. Finally she made it somehow back to the main street and looked for the name of the street she was on. Santa Maria seemed to be it, so she looked on the map... and it wasn't there. Olivia was about to scream in frustration, she started asking people to help her. Some did but only spoke Spanish, Olivia was close to tears. "Excuse me." Olivia said asking for the millionth time that day. "Yes." He replied. Olivia could have hugged him…he spoke English! "Oh thank you so mu…oh shit…oh holy ****ing Jesus Christ. Jesus you're Marat Safin." Olivia exclaimed, she was so very tempted to rub her eyes in disbelief. Marat gave a nervous laugh taking a side step away from Olivia. "Oh please don't be scared it's just I really admire you're work…no that's not right. I think you're a great tennis player...yes that's it. Ok I'll stop now. You see I'm lost and I can't find my car which is parked here…in Peligro." Olivia exclaimed still not getting over the shock that standing right in front of her was Marat Safin.
Marat suddenly burst out laughing giving Olivia a bloody heart attack.
"What's so funny about me not being able to find my car?" Olivia demanded.
Marat was shaking his head in disbelief and amusement. "Its just you cant be parked in Peligro because it means Danger. You took down the wrong name." Olivia failed to see the funny side instead she felt a tear trickle down her cheek. She was lost for good now. She didn't know where the hell she was, her car was in some car park and Marat Safin was laughing at her. Could life get any worse?
"Hey are you crying?" Marat asked feeling bad that he had laughed at her.
"Yes I'm crying so bloody what. I have no idea where I am, or where my car is. I was supposed to be home hours ago…I hate this stupid country why can't they just all speak English." Olivia mumbled brushing away her tears.
Marat looked unsure of what to do, was he supposed to comfort this stranger? He kind of poked her shoulder in a good way.
"It's ok. Honestly it's not half as bad as you think it is." He tried to make her feel better.
"Oh but is." Olivia wailed. "I've been walking around these streets for hours now and I still can't find it."
Marat bit his lip wishing he hadn't stopped to help this girl after all. She seemed to be emotional unstable.
"Well look my car is down the road how bout we drive around to all the parking lots and see if you're car is there." he offered kindly.
Olivia sniffled and then suddenly hoped nothing had dribbled out of her nose over the past 5 minutes.
"Oh that would be super. Seriously thank you." They started walking down the street until Olivia stopped dead in her tracks.
"What?" Marat asked her.
"I don't ****ing believe it." She hissed. There in front of her was the 'Peligro' car park. Her red fiat punto was just sitting there by its self. She glanced up the road; the ****ing frog shop was just a couple of yards away. How on earth had she missed the parking lot?
"Oh wow this is embarrassing. That's my car." Olivia pointed to her little car. Marat looked at the car then at Olivia and then at the road behind them and gave her the most puzzling of puzzled looks.
"That's you're car?" he sounded mighty confused.
"Yup." Olivia said in a small voice.
"And you were up the road asking for directions?"
"Yup" Olivia replied her face now burning bright red.
Marat just shook his head. "Uh glad I could be of some help." He said mocking her.
Olivia wished the ground beneath her would just open up and swallow her. Marat must have thought she was a major freak/bimbo.
"Thank you." She called out weakly as she watched him walk away. She leaned against the car door and mentally kicked herself in the ass. "What a loser." She said rather too loudly. Marat turned around "Did you say something." He asked her. "Uh yeah…I said glockenspiel…it's Icelandic for bye." Olivia made up. He gave a small smile and wondered over to his car. Olivia rooted through her bag looking for the stupid car keys which decided to hide themselves. Olivia after losing a screaming match with her bag found the keys in her pocket. "Glockenspiel? Of all the things to come out with…Glockenspiel? Why me?" Olivia moaned as she settled down into the car. She unfolded the map and still without knowing where she was drove off into the distance.

Missy glanced at her watch again, 7.30 and there was still no sign of Olivia anywhere. The house was eerily quiet and Missy shivered although it was still warm enough to be sunbathing out there. After she had arrived home from the spooky shop and had gotten over her brief encounter with Marat she had spent the afternoon toping up on her tan. The house was just in a league of its own, it had been loaned to Missy for 3 weeks rent free. The people that owned the house were friends of Missy's parents and did it as a huge favor. The house was on the beach, so it was beach houses…imagine that? It was also at the very end of the beach so that it was very secluded and quiet as the neighbors on the right hadn't arrived. The beach was all there's and they loved it to bits, they had only been there for 3 days but they seemed to be flying. If you didn't want to sunbath there were 2 dinghies to sail, which Missy promised Ollie she would teach this summer. The house was also stunning, set in a quiet area of Valencia that hardly any people ventured to go to. It was stunning area and there were hardly any tourists, hence the huge language barrier. Missy took her Malibu and coke onto the deck and savored the sight. The sun was beginning to set and the sea was as calm as Ollie on tranquilizers. Missy was dressed up in a knee length white linen Versace skirt and matching linen off the shoulder top. Her brunette hair straightened, looking positively gorgeous. {If I do say so myself…hey after all this is my story I'm allowed to make myself beautiful : } A movement in the neighbor's house caught Missy attention. She tried to peer and see if there was anything interesting but by the looks of it they seemed pretty normal. All of a sudden the doors to the deck were opened and Missy stumbled back into her place before pretending to be gazing out at the sea. "Hey you're the girl from the shop." A voice called out. Missy turned around slowly and with one heck of a lot of will power managed to keep her drink in her mouth without so much spitting it out for there was her neighbor Marat Safin.
"Hi again." She murmured sexily moving closer to the edge of the deck.
"I'm Marat…" Missy cut him off before he could finish. "Safin yes I know. I'm a huge fan. I'm Missy." They were too far apart to reach over and shake hands.
"I know I've never seen you here before, what brings you?" Marat asked.
Yikes was Marat digging for information? Hell I am one lucky chica if I say so myself Missy thought happily to herself.
"I'm on holidays with my friend Olivia. How come you're not playing some tournament?" Missy asked.
"Well just played one and I am taking a break before I head to the Us for the Us Open in a couple weeks time." Marat explained, Missy nodded her head. This was way too good to be true, Marat Safin was there neighbor, Olivia was just going to die! "Do you want to come over here and have a drink?" Missy asked him, hoping he would say yes.
Marat paused briefly then smiled, "Yeah I'd love a drink. Just let me tell my friend where I'm going and I'll be over in a tic." He told her before going back into his house. Missy giggled in delight at the thought of Marat coming over to have a drink. Oh this was just so good. Just hope Marat's friend is a guy and not a girl…or hang on I just hope Marat's straight. Missy wondered back into the house and grabbed the decanter with the Malibu and Coke and poured some more of into her empty glass. Better not get drunk, Missy warned herself, as any other drunk person she often did stupid things that she regretted if she could remember them. Marat came over a few minutes later. Missy asking what drink he would like was surprised to find he just wanted a straight Vodka giving the reason that he was Russian and would he be expected to drink anything else. They were soon chatting away, talking from tennis to Spanish and anything else that managed to crop up in there conversation. "Hey Marat you going to introduce me to this gorgeous lady?" Someone called out behind Missy. She turned around in shock and amazement to find Andy Roddick on the other balcony. Missy looked from Marat to Andy and then back again, Jesus she had really managed to get the perfect neighbors ever…two fine chunks of men.
"I didn't know you two were friends." Missy asked amazed at her good fortune. Andy and Marat just simply nodded there heads. "Do you want to come over for a drink?" Missy asked Andy.
"Sure" Andy replied. "But next time I have to buy the drinks ok?" Ooh what a charmer Missy thought.
Andy made his way over and all three of them were chatting about tennis, Missy getting braver…with a little help from the alcohol, told the boys what she thought of there tennis and what there weak ness's were. Missy kept checking her watch 8.15 and Olivia was still not home and she was getting slightly worried.
"You waiting for someone?" Andy asked noticing that it was the 3rd time in the past 10 minutes that she had looked at her watch.
Missy nodded her head. "The friend I'm with was supposed to be here 2 hours ago, it's not like her to be this late." She bit her lower lip thinking of all the possibilities that Olivia might have gotten herself involved. She shuddered thinking that maybe someone had kidnapped her or that she had been killed or she had been mugged.
"I'm sure she'll be home soon." Andy said sensing her distress.
"You said you had boats, how bout you show them to me?" Marat asked Missy hoping it would take her mind off Olivia. It seemed to cheer up Missy as a smile beamed across her face. "Andy will wait her just incase she phones or anything." Andy nodded her head sensing that Marat wanted some alone time with just Missy.
Andy watched as Marat made there way down the stairs and over to the boat house. Man Missy was hot, Andy thought to himself. Wonder what this Olivia was like, hoping she arrived home soon.
+:+:+
Olivia pulled up to the house at 8.25pm. She had finally somehow managed to make her way home. She had followed a couple of sign posts, some of them had leaded her astray but soon she found the right road that she should have been on. Then the crappy piece of junk that used the pathetic excuse of calling its self a car broke down on the motorway. She had earned herself a lovely flat tire, then the hassle of changing had been an ultimate nightmare. Her jeans were now black from the ground; her hands were muddy and oily smelling of something really unpleasant. She was sure she looked like a madwomen. She grabbed her bag and made her way into the house never in her life had she loved coming home more then right now. "Missy." She called out. No answer she made her way towards the deck were the most perfect sunset was occurring. She settled down in a chair and took it all in. "Wow." Was all she managed to say. "I'd have to agree with you on that." Andy said looking over at Olivia. Olivia uttered a scream; she hadn't even noticed that there was anybody else out here. "What the hell are you doing there just skulking? Don't you know that's rude?" Olivia cried out. "Hang on you're Andy Roddick aren't you?" Olivia said. Andy just nodded at her, still looking at her. "So mmm if you don't mind me asking why are you here and my friend isn't." Olivia asked him. Frankly it was getting annoying the way he was staring at her. "Missy's down in the boat shed and I'm here because she asked me over for a drink. Answer your question? Now if you don't mind me asking what the hell happened to you?" Olivia blushed and looked down at herself. "Exactly what I was thinking to myself too. Now I shall be off. Hang on who's with Missy?" Olivia was looking down at the beach where Missy was walking back up to the house with some man. Missy saw Olivia up on the deck and ran towards her. "What the hell happened to you?" Missy cried out. When Missy saw the state Olivia was in she stopped short of giving her a hug. "Oh yucky you smell." Missy held a finger to her nose and scrunched up her face in disgust. But Olivia wasn't paying attention to Missy; she was more interested in the man she had been with. Then Marat saw Olivia and Olivia saw Marat. "You!" they both exclaimed at the exact same time.
If Olivia thought her meeting with Marat earlier on had been bad, this was ten times worse. She was looking like a dog's dinner and he was looking all handsome in a pair of jeans and a light jumper. Marat was looking at Olivia as though she had just crawled out of a gutter. "My car got a flat tire." Olivia said needing to explain why she looked worse for wear. "Excuse me I have to leave now and get changed." She added, almost running out of the room. Ugh she hated them all for making her feel so itty bitty.
Missy followed her upstairs to her room. "Ok you have some explaining, first I want to know how you know Marat and never told me about it." Missy demanded angrily. Olivia sighed, pulling out some fresh clothes out of her suitcase. "Miss take one of those cool blue pills should calm you right down." Olivia joked but then seeing Missy's face. "Ok…ok humor aside. I only met Marat this afternoon. I asked him for directions, made a complete ass of myself, thinking that my life couldn't get any worse he magically appears in our house. Now explain how that happens."
Missy sat down on the bed. "Because Marat and Andy are our mysterious neighbors. I mean of all the people in the entire world, it's a sign Oll isn't it?" Missy said dreamily. Any other day Olivia would have agreed with the romantic notion but all she could do was snort in disgust. "Yo dreamer over there, call it fate or whatever, there probable nothing special anyway. Just two egotistical jocks that got lucky, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to have a shower." Missy was surprised at the harshness of Olivia's tongue.
"Well graucho I'll leave you. But just you remember what you've said; sure it was only the other day you were saying how much you would love to see Marat. Forget about what has happened with Marat, chances like this only happen once Oll and we've got to make the best of it." Missy said before leaving the room.
When the door closed Olivia stuck out her tongue, she hated it when Missy was right….which was all the time : after thinking about it in the shower she realized that Missy was right. She had already missed her chance with Marat this afternoon; this was a second chance to make everything right. Putting on some clean clothes she made her way down stairs.

Chapter 2
Jealous…
They all suddenly went quiet when Olivia walked onto the balcony. "I don't believe we've met." Andy said jumping to his feet. Olivia blushed and sat down beside Missy. "Marat and Andy I'd like you to meet Olivia Roby…Ollie you know who they are." Missy re-introduced Olivia. Marat gave her a brief smile. "So if you don't mind us asking what age are you guys?" Andy asked, being the blunt American he was. Olivia gulped nervously, she hated been the eldest but most of the times she felt the youngest. "I'm 28." Olivia told them. They didn't even blink an eyelid when she had said her age, making Olivia giddy with relief. "I'm 20." Missy said. Then they blinked, looking at Olivia and then back at Missy. "Are you sisters?" Marat asked. "No." they both said together laughing at the thought. "So how do you know each other then, I mean Olivia you're American and then Missy you're Irish…and then the age gap?" Andy asked. Missy looked at Olivia and decided to tell the strange but true story of there friendship. "Eh well we actually met over the internet and we've been talking to each other for years. We meet up a like 2 years ago and this is our 3rd time meeting up. Cool story eh?" Andy and Marat were gob smacked.
There was a brief uncomfortable silence before they all started chattering again. Missy sat in silence for a while, observing her surroundings she was in beautiful Valencia with the two of the world's greatest tennis players. Olivia and Missy had dreamed of several situations before but none of them seemed half as real as this. Marat was the quieter of the two, Missy noted. He liked to watch the scenes around him, analyzing what was going on only making the necessary comment. Andy was very out spoken and determined to get his say in as was Olivia she had noticed. I guess Americans were just like that, Missy mused. She watched as Olivia and Andy debated over whether or not Tennis players got too much money. Missy caught Marat's eye and they laughed quietly silently at the others. Missy got up and wondered into the house, her head was pounding from the drinks she had earlier, she had wisely switched to water. "How's the discussion going?" Missy asked as Marat joined her in the kitchen. "Andy is obviously saying that we get only enough to live on, saying that they should raise the money blah…blah…blah. Olivia is saying we get too much, honestly I don't care." Marat moaned putting his head between his hands. "That's because you win everything, you get all the money. There's no need to complain." Missy said squeezing the back of his neck playfully. "Come let's go for a walk." Marat told her. Missy tried to hide the shock, but her eyes gave her away. "But I'm in my jammies." She protested. Marat looked her over and raised an eyebrow "There Pajamas? " Missy nodded her head. "No ones going to see you except for me. And believe me it doesn't look as though you're wearing pajamas, you just look like you're going for a jog or something." He teased her. Marat told Andy where they were going, but the two of them were so wrapped up in there discussion they hardly noticed them leaving.
The stars had finally come out, there was a hauntingly beautiful red line of the suns last rays on the horizon before it meet the murky black of the night. They walked in silence observing the night sky. "You know any of the constellations?" Marat asked me. Missy nodded her head. "I'm not that great, my grandfather was always trying to show me, but I could just never see them. I know Cassiopeia that's about it." Missy confessed to him. Marat feigned a look of pure shock. "Well I'm glad I'm here to teach you little one. Ok you see Cassiopeia, now look to you're left…" Marat pointed out a couple of stars and Missy managed to keep up and eventually saw Pegasus. "That doesn't look like Pegasus." Missy complained. Turning her head upside down and to every side, it still didn't look like a flying horse. Marat just shook his head and refrained himself from laughing out loud.
They continued on walking every so often Marat would name one of the Constellations, Great Bear, Aquila, Hercules, Little bear. Missy was amazed at this soft side of him. "How do you know all this?" She asked him. He shrugged his shoulders as if it wasn't a big deal. "Well after living in Moscow for so long, a city whose night sky is constantly covered with smog and every other chemical spewing from its factories. So when I arrived in Valencia and I saw my first star filled sky, you know there were so many stars out there. I found a book and found the constellations, plus it's also great for getting a girl." Missy hit him playfully.
It really was beautiful. The city lights behind them twinkled, the black sea lapping near by. The beach empty, just the two of them. Missy began to shiver slightly as a soft breeze wrapped around them. Marat noticed her shivering and took of his jumper. "Here, wear this." He offered her his jumper. Missy shook her head. "I cant you'll get cold." Missy said observing his royal blue shirt he was wearing underneath. "Yeah but it was my idea to go for a walk in you're pajamas, so take my jumper. Plus if you get a cold you'll kill me." Missy stubbornly took his jumper and put it on. That was so much better, nice and warm wearing Marat's jumper. Man this day was just way too strange Missy told to herself.
"I also have the height advantage, so I don't feel the breeze down there." Marat told her as they made there way back to the beach house. "Are you suggesting that I'm small Mr. Safin?" Missy teased him. "No…I wouldn't say you're small. I'd say you're itty bitty." He teased right back. Missy pretended to be shocked at what he had said. "Did it ever occur to you that you're abnormally tall, and I am just the normal height? Kind of like Gulliver's Travels, you're Gulliver and I'm one of the Lilliputians." Missy pointed out. "Or how bout I'm just abnormally tall and you're abnormally itty bitty." Marat said very reasonable. "Agreed…so who then is 'normal'" Missy asked. Marat put his arm around Missy's shoulders "Exactly who is?" and the pair of them wondered off debating who and what was normal.
+:+:+
Olivia and Andy had finally managed to agree on something. They both managed to agree that to make a career out of tennis was very difficult and if you were an up and coming tennis player it was financially hard to come by unless you had a sponsor. "Where did they saw they were going?" Andy asked Olivia. Olivia shrugged her shoulders, trying to ignore the tiny piece of jealousy she felt. "So where bouts in the states you from?" Andy asked. "Nebraska." Olivia said knowing full well that he came from there too. "Get outta town, I'm from Nebraska too. What are the chances of that eh? What part." Andy asked amazed. Olivia found he came from a town not too far from hers and they spent the next few minutes talking about the corn crops etc.
Andy looked at his watch and gasped at the time. Although it was still fairly early, he had to be up the next morning at 7 to practise at the local tennis courts. It had become a ritual since he had joined the professional league. He trained almost every day unless it was Christmas day, then he allowed himself a break, but usually he practiced. "Well I better head back. Got to get up early tomorrow. Nice meeting you Olivia." They shook hands and Olivia said goodbye. She sat on the deck for a while longer finishing up her drink and looking out for Missy and Marat, she could see there silhouettes further down the beach.
She got up a few minutes later and started washing the glasses that they all had drank from. Missy and Marat were at the bottom of the stairs that led up to the deck. "So I'll see you around then." Missy said softly. Marat nodded his head, wondering whether or not he should kiss her. "Goodnight." He said and watched as she walked up the stairs making sure she got in before wondering back to his house next door.
Olivia had almost finished with the glasses when Missy came floating in, looking so dreamy. "Where have you been?" Olivia demanded. She was annoyed at Missy and herself, she was annoyed at Missy because she had gotten all friendly with Marat whilst she had been left alone with that obnoxious brat. She was also annoyed at herself for being annoyed with Missy. It wasn't her fault that she had gotten all friendly and probable romantic with him. Missy snapped out of her daze and looked guiltily at Olivia. "Marat and I decided to give you some alone time. So we went for a walk on the beach. Oh Ollie it was so romantic, he showed me constellations and he's just the most perfect guy ever. Do you think its love?" she said in such a dreamy voice that Olivia managed to picture herself in Missy's place and then she remembered her anger at her.
"Of course its not love, don't be so fatuous." Olivia snapped. Missy looked over at Olivia in surprise "Did I do something wrong Olivia?" Missy asked quietly. Olivia regretted snapping at Missy "No…yes look Miss trust me on this, there not everything they say or appear to be. There world class tennis players who move round from circuit to circuit meeting gullible girls just like yourself, they just like to conquer and move on. Look whatever you do, just don't get attached to them, ok?" Olivia explained carefully.
"Gullible is that what you think I am?" Missy asked angrily. Olivia didn't know what to say, how she possible could explain this one. "Yes I think you are." She said not quite meeting Missy's eyes. "Well Olivia lets get one thing straight, I am not gullible. I'll judge for myself on whom I think is right for me. Marat is a really nice guy and he's dead sincere. Just because you had a bad experience with him doesn't mean you have to hate him for life. If I correctly remember it was only last week you were saying to me how much you'd love to…" Olivia put up her hand to stop her. "Yes Miss I think I know what you're talking about. I'm sorry for calling you Gullible; I was just looking out for you, ok? Forgive me for being honest?" Missy thought Olivia was making fun of her and stormed off in huff mumbling a goodbye. Olivia called after her saying it didn't mean to sound that way, but was just left talking to herself.
The light was still on in Missy's room as Olivia made her way to her bedroom. She pondered about going into her and explaining it, but decided to wait until the morning. She got changed and slipped into her bed which was like the most comfortable bed in all the land. She tried to read but she just kept picturing Marat and then she remembered the embarrassing situation she had managed to get herself into earlier. She groaned in annoyance as she thought of different things she could have said to him, then it wouldn't have been half as bad. Eventually Olivia slipped into dreamless slumber.

Chapter 3
Two can play this game…
Missy blinked open her eyes then closed them again, sunlight streaming in through the open window. She glanced at her watch and gasped in disbelief, it was only 10am. She tried closing her eyes and drifting back to sleep again but the damn sun was annoying her. She tossed back the sheet she had slept in and threw her legs out the side of her bed. Groaning, yawning and stretching at the same time she made her way to the kitchen. Passing a mirror she flattened down her hair just in case she saw Marat. She poured herself some orange juice and made her way onto the deck. It was pretty cool out there; the sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky.
"Morning." A voice called out from the Marat's deck. Missy squinted her eyes against the sun and saw Andy sitting in the chair. "Morning" she croaked out. "How come you're up so early?" she asked him, yawning in the process. "Early…this isn't early. I've been practicing my tennis." Missy nodded her head, still not fully awake. "Well this is early for me hell anything before 12 is early for me." Missy explained. "Lazy." Andy commented. Missy just stuck out her tongue at him and took a sip of her OJ. "Could I borrow one of the boats?" Andy asked Missy.
"Sure." Missy said. Then added "I didn't know you sailed. Have you sailed for long?" Andy scratched his head thinking, "Not long, started sailing when I moved to Florida. So I guess 5 years, but haven't really learned much about it. I know the basics and that's about it." Missy looked out at the sea and could that there was a bit of wind blowing out there. "Rig my boat up as well. I'll get changed and join you in a few minutes." Missy wondered back into the house. She put on her tankini underneath her shorts and t-shirt. Grabbing her cap and a bottle of sun-cream she joined Andy who was in the middle of rigging one of the boats.
Missy made sure every inch of her exposed flesh was covered in sun-cream, there was no way she was going to get burnt to a crisp. She took out her mirror and applied the sun cream that all the cricket players use, you know that weird stuff. She rubbed some onto her nose, cheeks and lips. Looking stunning, Missy thought to herself sarcastically. "Andy come here." She called out. He looked over at her and burst out laughing. "You going to war Missy?" he asked her as he walked over to her. "Yes and so are you sonny Jim." She told him holding out the tube of sun cream. He slowly backed away, "That gunk is not going on my face." He said determined to get his own way.
"Fine then look like a tomato." Missy said. "Tomato" Andy corrected her. "No its tomato." Missy said firmly. "Tomato" Andy said even more firmly. Missy shook her head at him "Tomato." "Look I'm telling you its tomato." Andy said now getting frustrated. "Look speaking as a superior being to you. As Olivia always says 'we originated from over there.' referring to Europe. Oh and would you look at that we're in Europe. So its tomato, not to-mate-o, to-mat-o." Missy said distinguishing the difference. Andy held up his hands "Ok…ok its to-mat-o." and sounding as poncy as English man with a pole stuck up his ass. Missy laughed at him and he sighed. "What now?" he asked. "You're still saying it wrong." She told him.
She grabbed him by the arm and made him sit down on the bench. "Oh I like a woman that takes control." He said evilly. Missy sighed and opened the tube of 'war paint.' "And don't take this personally but not even in you're wildest dreams. Now you can go for multi colors or just one colour." Andy thought carefully for a few minutes. "Multi colors please." Missy started rubbing on the cream. "Now I know why Movie stars marry there make-up artists." Andy said to himself. "Why do they marry there make-up artists then?" Missy asked thinking she had lovely soft hands or something. "Because there breasts are constantly in the actors faces." Andy said with a really wicked laugh. Missy looked down and sure enough her breasts were level with Andy's face. Blushing she hit him lightly across his head.
"You are a very dirty man, you know that." She said giving out to him. He raised his eyebrow "Why thank you Missy, that truly is the greatest complement you can give to a 23 year old man." Andy smiled. "You're only 23…so I'm not the only baby around here." She murmured. Andy looked up at her, "Nope and that's exactly the reason why you should go out with me." He said cheekily. "I'm just going to ignore that one…you're freckles are really cute." Andy had a spread of freckles across the bridge of his nose that spilled onto his cheeks. "What freckles?" Andy worriedly asked Missy. She laughed at his frantic need for a mirror. "Andy trust me there cute, really cute. But that doesn't make me like you like that so don't take it as I'm coming onto you or something crazy like that, because I know you're thinking that." She warned him.
They walked to there fully rigged boats and Missy did a final check to see if Andy had rigged them probable. The pushed the boats down to the sea and hopped in, pushing down the rudder and putting in the dagger boards they made there way slowly but surely out further out to sea.

Olivia woke to the noise of laughing outside. She glanced at her wrist watch, 11am…man she usually never slept that late. She made her way groggily to the kitchen and from there watched as Andy and Missy launched there boats. She made a note to herself to explain to Missy what she had said last night. Wow looked they were really have fun out there, Olivia thought. Watching as Missy and Andy raced against each other. Olivia grabbed her camera off the counter and loaded a black and white film. Wondering onto the deck she began to start snapping photos. She was so involved in her work that she hardly noticed Marat on the other balcony until she heard him move.
"Hi." She said glancing over quickly. "Morning" he replied. The two of them watched Andy and Missy sailing in silence, then suddenly Andy capsized and fell into the water, even up where they were they could hear Missy laughing. Then suddenly her boat capsized but Missy somehow managed to jump over the side of the boat and onto the dagger board managing a dry capsize. "Wow she's really good." Marat commented as he watched Missy un-capsize her boat and land back without a drop of water on her. Andy on the other hand was still having difficulty getting his boat upright again. Finally he managed to get the boat back upright and climbed into it with Missy's help who had sailed over to him and had shouted instructions at him. "Yeah she sailed a lot when she was younger." Olivia explained to Marat.
Olivia had taken a lot of pictures when the pair had capsized hoping they turned out well. Olivia sat down on the closest chair and watched them sail around for the next hour and a half before they decided to call it a day and come in. Missy arrived back first and pulled her boat up onto the beach and pulled down the main sail making sure it didn't capsize on land. Andy was coming in slowly but surely and called Missy over to the water to help him. Missy hadn't wet at all except up to her knees and wanted to stay as dry as possible. "Please miss help me, I'm so tired after all that capsizing that I can barely lift up my arms." Andy begged. Missy relented and walked out to the sea as far as her kneecaps and waited for him.
Hopping out of the boat, Missy pulled up the dagger board and the rudder; they pulled the boat up to the beach and let down the main sail. "Here let me give you a big hug for helping me." Andy said to her coming nearer. Missy jumped away, "No way Andy you are sopping wet and I'm nice and dry…noooooooo Andy please." Andy caught Missy and scooped her into his arms and carried her down to the water. "Andy please don't…please I'll do anything just don't put me into the water." Missy cried out kicking and hitting him with her arms. "Anything?" Andy asked deviously. "Well it depends…ok anything." Missy squealed as he almost let go of her. "A kiss and a date, and anything else I can think of." Missy crinkled up her nose in distaste. "No…not a chance." She said preparing for the worst. Andy let go of her and dumped her into the water with a splash. She reappeared a second later spluttering and coughing up sea water.
"You're dead Roddick." She hissed at him. She managed to get back onto the beach and chase him around for a while without any luck. Olivia and Marat had enjoyed the whole thing together, "There a cute couple." Olivia murmured to herself totally forgetting about Marat and Missy's little walk last night. Marat didn't say anything just watching the pair of them chase each other around laughing. Missy slumped onto one of the deck beds, tired and exhausted from chasing Andy around and from the sailing. Andy joined her on the next deck bed even more wrecked from the tennis work out and all the capsizing her had done.
"I'd watch you're back if I were you." Missy muttered, ready to fall into a deep sleep. "I'm watching it." Andy said eyes closed and almost asleep. "Good." She said. "Good." He replied. Missy decided to get out of wet clothes and sunbath in her Tankini. She stripped off her t-shirt making sure here breasts were still firmly in place in the Tankini and not falling out. "Why didn't you wake me…I'm missing this strip tease." Andy complained. "Oh you wanna see more…" Missy said seductively slowly lifting up her tankini to revel a tiny part of her stomach. Andy was fully awake now and sitting up. "Yeah well think again honey because you just missed getting a piece of this fine ass when you dropped me into the water. Nice one dipshit." Missy said laughing at his reaction. Andy hit is hand against his head and fell back against the deck chair.
They laid in silence for a while soaking up the sun and drying out. "Want to go in and get a drink?" Andy asked Missy after a while. The sun was blistering hot and still wasn't at its hottest. Missy nodded her head, throat parched. They wondered into Marat's house and Missy looked around, it was the first time she had been in his house. There were a couple of trophies hanging around the place; his house was really nicely decorated, very modern. Pictures of what Missy presumed were family and friends littered the place. "Do you want a tour of the house?" Andy asked after he had given Missy her drink. She nodded her head and followed him around. The house was identical to there's expect obviously the furnishings were different. The last room Andy showed Missy was his, Missy laughed as she saw his assortment of hats, there must at least have been around 30 of various different colors.
Missy wondered around his room and noticed a picture beside his bed of a pretty blonde. "Who's that?" She asked as she laid down on the bed, frame still in her hands. Andy laid down beside her, "That's my ex-girlfriend Shelly." He said in a sad tone. "Did you break up recently?" she asked. Andy was silent for a while, "6 months ago. It was pretty serious, well I thought it was. We'd been going out for 3 years, I found out she had been cheating on me for quite a while. She blamed me for not being there, in some ways she was right. But…" Andy trailed off and Missy could see that this was hurting him. She placed the frame back down on the bedside locker.
"You know you're a really bad sailor." She teased him hoping to lighten up the atmosphere. "Me, I don't know what you're talking about. If there's a bad sailor in the room it ain't me, and do I see anybody beside me and you…no. so I guess that leaves you and you know what that means…you guessed it. You're the bad sailor." They debated for a while before eventually falling asleep in each other's arms.

Olivia wondered back outside again after putting on her tankini to do some serious sunbathing. Expecting to see Andy and Missy out there, she found the deck beds empty. Shrugging her shoulders she set up her own bed, with an umbrella covering her just in case she got to hot. Her book at the ready, sun-cream all rubbed in. She was good to go. She lay back and started reading. She was soon engrossed in the book that she didn't notice Marat sit down beside her. What was the deal with these guys, did they not make any noise when they moved or something? Olivia pondered.
"Have you seen Missy anywhere?" she asked Marat admiring from beneath her sunglasses his muscular chest. A fantasy with candles appeared out of no where and Olivia felt herself blushing. "Yeah she's in Andy's room." Marat told her. "Oh" Olivia said shocked thinking Missy was not the person to…well sleep around. "Oh no, there not doing…I think they just fell asleep. They seem pretty happy with each other…or cute as you said earlier." Marat said smiling at her. Olivia blushed even more, so he had heard her this morning.
"I hope you don't mind me saying this but I thought you liked Missy." Olivia asked feeling bold. Marat shrugged his shoulders "She seems nice enough; we just went for a walk last night. I think maybe she's a bit too young for me though. I think she likes Andy more then me, they seem to get along better and seem to be at ease with each other." Olivia suddenly felt giddy with relief but then told herself it would never happen that Marat would like her. Hadn't she told Missy just yesterday not to trust them, she'd be a hypocrite if she suddenly got all gushy feelings towards Marat.
"Good book?" Marat asked. "So far yeah, if it keeps it up till the end it'll be brilliant." Was it just her or was Marat trying to make conversation with her? "Olivia I feel as though we've gotten off on the wrong foot. Do you think we should start all over again?" Marat asked her. Olivia was shocked, "Uh yeah…I mean we did sort of not get off on the right foot." "Cool then." Marat said picking up his book. "Yeah defiantly cool." Olivia said returning to her book.
"Would you like to go out for a drink with me?" Marat suddenly asked. Olivia's mouth hung open and she hopped she had heard him right. "Go out with a drink with you…" she asked. Marat nodded his head. "Yes of course, I'd love to." She told him earnestly. Oh my god she was about to pee in her pants, Marat Safin had asked herself out on a date. Marat smiled at her reply.

It was the ticking that woke Missy up. She looked at the wrist and glanced at the time, 4pm. Holy moley she slept for 4 hours straight. She glanced over at Andy who was still asleep and wondered if she should wake him or let him sleep for a little bit longer. A plan formed in her evil little head. She quietly straddled Andy's chest and leaned over, kissing his fluttering eyelids. Each kiss was soft and sensual, one lasting longer then the last. Andy flickered open his eyes after a few minutes. "What-t-t." he stammered. Missy put a finger to his lips "I just wanted to continue what we started earlier." She said huskily. Andy tried to sit up "Earlier…what happened earlier?" he seemed to be bewildered. Missy pouted "Don't you remember?" she rubbed her hands down his chest feeling the abs beneath his t-shirt.
Andy shook his head desperately trying to recall anything that might have happened earlier that involved a naked Missy or kissing Missy….nothing he didn't remember a single damn thing. "Was I…uh any good?" he asked, he looked down and noted that he was fully clothed…ruling out having sex….unless he got dressed after it. "You don't remember." Missy said sadly, letting a piece of hair cascade down onto her face and cover her eye sexily. Andy felt extremely guilty, pushing back the piece of hair behind her ear "Of course I remember, it was special and meant a lot to me. You know that it was so special that I seemed to forget it for a moment there. But now I remember and boy let me tell you I will never ever forget this moment again." Andy said hoping he sounded earnest enough.
Missy still didn't seem satisfied "Really really special." He said again with more meaning. Man what the hell could I have done…Andy pondered. Missy clambered off him and sat on the edge of the bed. Man I have so done it this time, he thought to himself. "Look Miss…I'm so sorry, I don't know what the hell is going on but I just don't seem to remember what we did." He watched as Missy's shoulders heaved up and down, he wasn't sure if he should comfort her or let her cry. But then he noticed that Missy's 'cries' sounded more like laughter.
"Missy?" he called out, pushing Missy back onto the bed and saw that she was laughing so hard that she was almost crying. "You liar." He cried out. Missy laughed even harder at that point. "Gotcha" She said in between gasps. He made a lunge for her but she moved too quickly and sprinted out of the room and out of the house to the beach outside with Andy hot on her heels. "Noooo Andy please don't." Missy squealed as she reached the safety of her sun bed. "Andy leave her alone." Marat warned Andy as he tried to carry Missy to the water. "You're going to pay for that Cahill." Andy hissed. Missy shook her head "Uh no, we're even now. Don't even think about it." And stuck out her tongue at him. He shook his head and walked over to his sun bed.
The four of them lay in silence for a while soaking in the sun which was now at one of its hottest points. "Want to go sailing?" Missy asked Andy. She was getting bored with no one to talk to….plus she still hadn't forgiven Olivia yet for being mean to her the night before. "Sure…this time want to sail in the same boat and we'll see who's the better sailor." He said. Missy nodded her head and the pair of them told Olivia and Marat where they were going.
"Is it just me or have those two gotten really friendly?" Olivia asked Marat. "Have to agree with you on that, wonder if anything happened in that bedroom?" He said as he watched the two of them splash each other with water. "How come you didn't go sailing with her?" Marat asked. "Besides my fear of sailing, Missy and I had a little fight last night. She still hasn't forgiven me for something I said. She's every stubborn like that, she says all Irish people are like that. She will never admit that she's wrong and the day she does will make it into the history books." Olivia explained.
Missy and Andy came back in from there sail at 6, they had finally agreed that they were both as good as each other at sailing and had named the boat Mindy after Missy and Andy. They de-rigged the two boats and put them back in the boat shed. Olivia and Marat were packing up there stuff as the other two put away the boats. "So I'll collect you at 8 then?" Marat was saying as Missy and Andy came closer. "Sure." Olivia said quickly hoping Missy hadn't heard anything yet. "Glockenspiel." Marat called out with a huge smile upon his face. "Glockenspiel." Olivia said too feeling her face flush an unpleasant red colour. "Bye And." Missy called out as she walked into the house.
"Glockenspiel? Isn't that an instrument?" Missy asked. Olivia nodded her head "Yeah…I kind of told Marat it was goodbye in Icelandic. I think he knows it's not though." Olivia explained. Olivia let out a whoosh of air that she had been holding in, hoping that Missy wouldn't have asked about her and Marat's date. It was going either going to be torture telling her about it or else it would be nice and simple after all it looked as though Missy had her hungry eyes set upon Andy. "So what do you want to do tonight, we could go to that place that we were supposed to go to last night. Or we could find something else in Valencia." Missy asked Olivia. She seems to have forgotten about last night then, meaning she's not pissed at me anymore Olivia thought to herself.
"Well actually I have plans." Olivia said quietly. "With whom?" Missy asked, eyes narrowed. "With Marat." Missy dropped the plate she had been holding. "What?" she screeched. Olivia jumped back with fright. "Why are you screaming at me?" Olivia screamed. "I'm not screaming at you and if I was you should know why you back stabber." Missy screamed back. They stood there glaring at each other for what seemed an eternity until Olivia spoke. "I am not a back stabber, I don't know how I could possible be one. Why does it matter that I'm going out on a date with Marat. What about you and Andy, you seemed to be pretty damn friendly today." Olivia hissed. Missy stood there with her mouth opening and closing.
"Some friend you are Olivia Roby. Did you somehow manage to forget our little conversation that we had last night? I told you I liked him, he took me for a moonlight walk on the beach. And now look at you trying to steal my boyfriend. As for Andy…he's a friend. We go sailing together that's all; have fun have a laugh nothing more." Missy cried out.
"Boyfriend…you have got to be joking me. Whatever happened last night I'm sure he regretted because it seems he likes me now. Get over it that he asked me out and stop acting like a two year old." Olivia told her.
Missy snorted. "Mine…that's all you think about…if I correctly remember you saying to me last night 'don't get attached to them' what does she do…she gets herself a date with my boyfriend. Hypocrite Ollie that's what you are. I hope you and lover boy have a lovely life together." Missy screamed at her before turning on her heel and storming out of the kitchen and into her bedroom.
Olivia shook her head in frustration banging down her fist on the kitchen counter. Ugh sometimes that child really got on her nerves…her boyfriend, dude she wishes. Olivia glanced at the kitchen clock and decided she better get her skates on. She wanted to look so stunning that Marat drop flat down dead in amazement. Oh she was going to have a good time and nothing was going to stop her, not even Missy.

Chapter 4
This is war…
Olivia was almost ready when the doorbell rang. She had half her face on and couldn't exactly greet Marat like that; he'd die from the horror of it all. All Olivia could do was pray that Missy would somehow answer the door.
Missy was watching TV when the doorbell rang; ugh it's my boyfriend coming to collect my ex-backstabbing-boyfriend-stealing-friend. She waited for Olivia to answer the door but it seemed as though she was still getting ready. The doorbell rang a second time and Missy groaned in annoyance as she got up from watching Spanish Bingo and shuffled over to the door. She pulled open the door and almost slammed it again as she gazed at Marat, he was wearing a suit with the jacket open and a tie- less white shirt showing off his incredible tan.
"Hi is Olivia ready?" he asked. Hmm I could do something really evil, Missy thought to herself.
"Actually you know what…she's not. Olivia asked me to tell you she's not feeling that great. I'm not sure if she's even going to be able to make it." Missy said sadly and watched as Marat's face fell. Damn he actually likes her, Missy thought angrily.
"So she's not coming then?" he asked dejectedly.
"Uh huh. She said she's really sorry though." Missy said half hoping he would ask her out instead.
"Oh Missy don't be so silly." Olivia said from behind them, fuming at how evil Missy was. She masqueraded it behind a smiling sweet face. Missy spun around glaring at her.
"I'm sorry Marat…it's a joke thing me and Missy have. You didn't actually believe her did you?" she asked. Marat was staring at them in confusion.
"Wow miss he actually believed you. You're getting really good at this joke thing." Olivia said through gritted teeth, making the slashing you're-dead sign across her neck when Marat had turned his back.
"I'll let you kids go. Remember always use a condom." Missy warned them leaving Olivia and Marat with bright red faces.
"I think we'd better go." Olivia said, inwardly cursing Missy for being such a bitch.
+:+:+
Missy listened to them leave the house and speed off in Marat's car. Cursing Olivia for being so annoying and perfect she poured herself a large Vodka and Coke. Hoping to get extremely pissed. The sun was setting in the night sky and was looking so beautiful that Missy felt a lump form in her throat. I hate being alone, I hate having no one to care about me Missy thought sadly to herself.
"Hey gorgeous." Andy called out from Marat's deck.
"Not now Andy." Missy said sadly feeling a tear roll down her cheek.
"Why so sad little puss?" he asked concerned.
"Because all men are bastards." Missy said sourly rubbing the tear away.
"Oi speaking as one of those bastards, that's not fair, you couldn't possible say that about every man on the planet could you?" Andy said impatiently.
"Yes they are. You don't understand women and when you think you do, you're a hundred miles off. I hate you all." Missy cried out in frustration.
"That's so not fair Miss…" Missy cut him off quickly. "What about you trying to get into my pants all day, you're the worst of them. "She screamed at him.
"I'm not going to take this Missy. Get over yourself and get over the PMS that you're feeling." Andy told her angrily before heading back into the house.
Missy bit her lower lip and tried to prevent herself from bursting into tears. Great now Andy and herself were fighting, she was mad at Olivia for stealing Marat and Marat couldn't even care if she existed. Life really sucked, better get used to it. There's still 2 weeks left of this miserable holiday. Not if I can help it, Missy thought to herself and formed a plan.
+:+:+
Marat had a sexy red Ferrari convertible that made everyone stop and stare as they whizzed past. "I haven't told you how beautiful you look tonight have I?" Marat asked her. Olivia shook her head shyly. "Well I hope you can forgive me for that. Let me make it up to you now." Marat paused dramatically. "You look absolutely stunning Olivia." He said softly making the hairs on Olivia's neck stand up. "Thank you." She said, her cheeks blushing crimson.
"I should be thanking you. You're going to make me a very popular man; everyone will want to dance with you. I guess you're wondering where we're going. First I'm going to take you to typical Valencian bar that serves the best Tapas in the whole of Spain. Then we go to the best Jazz bar in the whole of Valencia, do a little bit of dancing, whatever tickles you're fancy. Sound good to you?" Marat told her as they pulled up a small winding street.
Olivia nodded her head, she was far too nervous to talk let alone eat. "Cat got you're tongue?" Marat asked playfully.
Olivia nodded her head again and Marat through back his head laughing as if it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. Olivia cracked a smile.
They got out of the car and Marat led the way to the tiny traditional bar that was already filled with locals. Olivia wished she had something like a sketch pad or her camera, it was just fascinating. The old people had that Mediterranean look about them, there brown skin wrinkled and weather beaten. Olivia sat down at the table Marat pointed to and waited for him to get the drinks. Pulling out a pen from her bag she started sketching a group of old men on the back of a beer mat, who were drinking typical Valencian beer and talking rapidly in Spanish.
Olivia didn't notice Marat coming back "That's very good." He said looking over her shoulder. Olivia blushed and tried to hide the drawing. "Oh please don't look it's terrible." Olivia mumbled as Marat tried to get a better look at the sketch. "Olivia this is really very good." Marat was amazed. "You've been keeping this talent a secret from me." He chided her. "How much do you want for this?" He asked her seriously.
Olivia was shocked. "Marat keep it its free and it's terrible anyway." Marat shook his head, "How much?" he pressed again. "A euro." She said quietly feeling very pleased with herself that Marat thought her sketch was good. "Ok here you go, but you must sign it before I buy it." Olivia took the pen and signed her name with a flourish on the bottom of the beer mat. Marat took the drawing and pocketed it and handed over a note. Olivia gasped at it; a 100 Euro note lay in front of her.
"No Marat I can't." She tried giving him back the money but he insisted that she have it as she deserved it. "Olivia please make me happy and keep the money, it's not a lot anyway, and it deserves a hell of a lot more." Marat told her. Olivia grudgingly took the money and put it in her bag. She felt terrible taking the money off him.
"So Olivia what do you do? You know all about me but I know nothing about you." Marat asked her as they drank the beer. Although Olivia usually didn't drink beer she had to say that this was excellent beer. "I'm actually a photographer. Currently working for National Geographic but the works not that predictable. A couple of newspapers have contacted me, asking me to cover stuff in the Middle East, but I'm not sure I want to work in a war zone. So as of now I'm unemployed."
Marat nodded his head sympathetically. "That must be hard." Olivia shrugged her shoulders as if to say she didn't care. "Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't." They finished there beers making light conversation before they made there way to the Jazz House called Animar meaning to Jazz up Marat explained as they drove through the light traffic.
Animar was practically full, they were lucky enough to find a seat in the corner. The band had already started playing and a rhythmic beat was bouncing around making everyone tap there feet to the beat. Having never been to a Jazz House Olivia didn't know what to expect, maybe people clicking there fingers when a song was over, like they did in readings. But the atmosphere was amazing, languages mixed with music creating a party atmosphere. No mournful blues, crazy jazz it was. "This is insane." Olivia shouted over the music. Marat replied by pulling Olivia to her feet and onto the dance floor. The dancing was neither slow and smoochy or fast and furious. You had to create your own style of dance to every different song. Sometimes the dance was slow; sometimes you just had to twirl around several times. Everything that had happened earlier slipped to the back of her mind as Marat twirled her around and then back into his arms. He's perfect she thought dreamily and closed her eyes and leaned her head on his chest.
+:+:+
There she thought as she added a rose to her hair. I'm perfect Missy thought happily. Her red Spanish skirt flowed around her legs and her white gypsy top accentuated her curves. Her curls were piled on her head, some of them had fallen loose, tiny rose clips in her hair keeping it all in place. Her 4inch heels giving her a desperate lift. I look like a lovely Latina, Missy thought to herself as she looked in the mirror. Glancing one last time in the mirror and practicing her smile, maybe I might meet Mr. Right tonight. But Missy sighed knowing that Mr. Right was already taken by Olivia. Stuffing some money and her keys into her clutch bag, she left the house hoping she could drive in the heels.
Andy was in his bedroom getting ready to head out. He wasn't about to spend the whole night staying in, he had been about to ask out Missy when she had thrown her hissy fit. And now he was going, he glanced out his window and saw the most stunning woman he had ever seen leave Missy and Olivia's house. She turned around briefly to lock her house and Andy gasped in amazement as the beautiful creature turned out to be the moody bitch. Racing from his room and grabbing his keys and wallet from the hall table he ran after Missy, who was struggling to open the crappy fiat punto.
"Need some help?" Andy asked.
Missy looked up and growled at him. "Not if you were the last man on earth."
"Oh stop with all the I-hate-men bullshit. It's frankly getting a tiny bit boring. Here give me the damn keys." Andy grabbed the keys out of her hands and opened the car with some ease. Missy tried grabbing the keys out of his hands but he was too tall.
"A ah…were you off to?" He asked her, wanting to tag along.
"None of you're business." She told him.
"Well then I guess you won't be going anywhere then." Andy told her sweetly.
"I guess I'll get the bus then." Missy told him the alternant plan.
"Ok but I' coming with you." Andy bargained with her.
"No way. Look I'm going out on the tiles and I'm going to get so pissed I wont be able to think straight for two days without my head threatening to explode. Now go back and watch you're re-runs of the Us Open. Scoot." Missy climbed into her car with her hand out stretched waiting for the keys.
Andy shook her head. "You know you're a bitch, a real nasty bitch. But I'm not taking no for an answer. Now move over and I'll drive us somewhere were we both can get absolutely pissed." Missy sighed and relented. Andy was so tall he had to almost bend his head to see out the windscreen.
"Were we going?" Missy asked as they drove down the same street for the 3rd time. "I'm not quite sure. Well were going to a jazz club Marat never stops talking about. It begins with A…can't remember the rest but it's supposed to be a good laugh. It's supposed to be somewhere around here." Andy told her as he looked around for any signs of the jazz club.
Eventually he managed to track down the club, at this stage Missy was getting really ratty. "You know you may be beautiful and all that but you're a right moody bitch. Can you please change the record, I'm sick of listening to it over and over again. I'm a bastard yadiyadiya; all men should die blah blah blah. I get the picture nothing I can do about it honey." Andy told her impatiently.
He half dragged her down the streets to the club. "And don't walk too fast I can barely walk in these shoes." She moaned. Andy tired of all the whining she had done in the car had had it up to there. He hoisted Missy over his shoulders and let her squeal in horror and disbelief until he arrived at the club. He put her down carefully on her heels and received some verbal abuse about how he had violated her rights. Here goes nothing he thought to himself. He leaned over and kissed Missy on the lips.
"Please, just please shut up." He whispered quietly after they had broken off. Missy a scream of frustration as she watched him walk into the club. She managed to catch up with Andy. "How dare you…you little toe rag. You kissed me of all the things to do you kissed me. Touch me again and I will…ugh you don't want to know what I will do to you." She hissed at him. "I'll kiss you again if you don't shut up." Andy threatened. Missy shrank back and wiped her mouth, trying to remove all the Andy germs. "Now were here to get absolutely pissed, I don't want to hear how evil men are. No more talk, we dance, make the occasional grunt and we drink until we think we're gonna puke. Sound like a good idea to you?" Missy nodded her head in agreement.
Andy and Missy managed to find a seat near the bar. Ordering a beer for himself, Missy refused saying that if it wasn't Guinness it wasn't worth drinking. Ordering a dry Martini…shaken not stirred….just had to put that in there. They listened to the band play some pretty groovy songs and clapped there hands to the beat. It took a while for Missy to persuade Andy to dance with her. Eventually she managed to hoist his lazy ass up. Missy was on her 4th Martini and was feeling a little bit merry.
The song was fast, they copied what everyone else was doing, twirling and spinning. Suddenly Andy twirled Missy into someone else. "Watch where you're going." Missy shouted at Andy and the person she had bashed into. She turned around and gave a gasp of horror; there standing in front of her was Olivia hand on her hips.
"What are you doing here?" Olivia screeched.
"I'm here with Andy." Missy told her sweetly. Olivia shook her head. "You came to spy on me you little bitch." She hissed. "You wish I'm not that sad Olivia. Andy brought me here to get wasted. Sorry to burst you're bubble." Missy told her. "Find your own club." Olivia told her angrily. "Whoa girls. Where'd all the love go to?" Andy said butting into there little fight.
"Shut up." They both shouted at Andy at the same time. Andy took a step backwards. "No you leave." Missy told Olivia.
"I was here first."
"No I was you leave."
"You just want to get you're grimy hands on my date." Olivia hissed into Missy's ear.
"No I don't. Fine Olivia if I makes you happy I'll leave." Missy said turning on her heel with Andy hot on her heel left Animar.
"What was that all about?" Marat asked coming up to Olivia as he watched Missy storm out of the club. "We just had a fight that's all. Come on lets dance." Olivia said and they started dancing again, this time Olivia couldn't forget everything that happened that easily. She closed her eyes and made a silent wish, wishing that everything would turn out alright and she couldn't lose her friend.
+:+:+
"Would you like to tell me what the hell happened in there?" Andy asked as they made there way back home again.
"Olivia and I had a fight. Big whoop dido, everyone fights." Missy mumbled.
"Yeah everyone fights but man I thought you guys were gonna have a bitch slap up or something. Care to share?" Andy pressed on.
"No Andy because it's none of you're business." Missy told him, with a tone in her voice telling him not to press on.
"Fine I'll drop the subject. You sure you want to go home? I mean we could find another bar or something, we still haven't got wasted yet." Andy tried to cheer Missy up.
"No I just want to go home." She mumbled once more and fell silent for the rest of the journey, not speaking until they arrived back home.
"You going to be ok?" Andy asked not sure he should leave her alone.
"I'll be fine. Thank you Andy." She let herself into the house and closed the door behind her. Andy shook his head, wanting to stay with her until Olivia came home. I've got to be crazy Andy thought to himself. Missy drove him insane at times, but wow she was also the most amazing person he had ever spent time with. The whole day he spent with her sailing had been a joy; they had laughed at everything and discovered similar interests. As much as he didn't want to admit, he seemed to be falling for her and he had only known her for 2 days. Yes he was crazy…about Missy.
+:+:+
Olivia felt bad, it was only 1am but she had wanted to go home. Things hadn't been right since the fight with Missy in the club. As much as she didn't want to admit it, it had certainly made the evening worse. Everything had been just perfect up until that moment, and then it all seemed to crumble. "I had a really good night tonight Marat." Olivia told him as they drove down there street. "I'm glad although you seemed to be kind of distant towards the end there. I hope Missy didn't upset you too much." Marat asked concerned. "Well maybe a little. It's just we usually never fight and if we do we only stay mad at each other for like half an hour or something. But lately we've…just seemed to fight over everything. It's silly really."
Marat nodded understanding her dilemma. He helped Olivia out of the car and walked her up to the front door. "Well we'll have to do this another time when you're not so caught up emotionally." He ran his thumb down her cheek and kissed her lips softly, teasing at first leaving Olivia breathless with anticipation. She moaned as his lips crushed hers powerfully, her knees seemed to weaken with every kiss. "Goodnight Olivia." He eventually said. Olivia mumbled a goodnight and somehow managed to open up the front door. Making sure the door was closed behind her she did a little victory dance, waving her arms around and shaking her legs. If only she could tell Missy about it…but Missy would probable wish her dead before she wanted to hear anything about her date with Marat.
+:+:+
Missy sat on the beach a couple of hundred yards away from her house. After she had gotten home from the club with Andy, everything in the house had seemed to depress her, so she had decided to take a midnight stroll on the beach. The moon cast and eerie shadow on the water, lighting it up. She expected at any moment to see a dolphin jump out just like the cover of The Deep Blue Sea. The tears that she had tried to prevent earlier cursed down her cheeks. There had been no stopping them now; she knew that everything was disastrous. From her relationship with Andy to her friendship with Olivia. Everything was wrong.
"Mind if I join you." Marat's voice said from beside her making her jump a mile. "My god are you trying to give me a heart attack or something." Missy cried out. Marat sat down beside her, noticing her tear stained cheeks. "Why so sad?" He asked her. "Why not. What is there to be happy about in this life?" Missy said angrily. "Plenty, you've got perfect health, food in you're belly. Tons of friends I'm sure, education, you've got money. That's a lot to be happy about." Marat said rationally.
"Sure but what's the point of that when I'm here. Where everything sucks." A fresh batch of tears fell. "Ok so maybe you and Olivia are fighting and everything is not that great, but there's still Andy and me." Marat said. "Not sure about Andy, he likes me more then just a friend and then there's you…" Missy trailed off. "Yes…what about me." Marat pressed on. "Well it's just…that." Missy faltered. She wasn't embarrassed or ashamed to say she liked him. "I like you more then I should. That's why Olivia and I are fighting. It's all about you, and that's why it's so silly." Missy told him.
Marat sat in silence for a while. "And what if I was to say I liked you the same way." Marat said slowly. Missy looked over shocked wiping away her tears. "But-t-t-t" she stammered. "Shh." He whispered putting a finger over her mouth. He leaned over and kissed her. They kissed for what Missy thought was an eternity, only breaking away for air. They continued doing this for a while until Missy got dizzy with passion.
They got up from where they were sitting and with Marat's arm around Missy's shoulder made there way back to the beach houses. "You mustn't tell Olivia." Marat told her sternly. "Why not." Missy asked puzzled. "Because the less people that know about this the better. We won't even tell Andy. It will be our little secret." Marat explained to her. Missy nodded her head understandingly and smiled. Marat and she had a secret romance. She sighed blissfully and rested her head on Marat's shoulder as they made there way home. After everything it was turning out alright, so Missy thought, not knowing how disastrous the consequences would be.

Chapter 5
Blissfully unaware of the dangers around…
"Morning." Missy said to Olivia. Olivia took a step back in disbelief and looked around her seeing if there was anyone else behind her. "Here I made you some fresh orange juice." Missy said handing Olivia a glass. Olivia's mouth hung open, there's something fishy going on here she thought narrowing her eyes. "Don't worry I didn't poison the orange juice if that's what you're thinking." Missy said teasingly. "Ok back up….like back up a lot. What's all this?" Olivia waved her hands around and pointed at Missy.
"Oh…well I did some major thinking last night on the beach. You know were here for the next two weeks, what's the point of fighting, it would so ruin our holiday and our friendship and I don't want that to happen." Missy said casually, trying not to blush when she thought of the beach last night.
"And Marat…" Olivia said still not convinced.
"Well obviously I still like him, but man I've such a child about it. I mean he asked you out on date and I went mental. You know I just need time to get over the rejection and all that." Missy said hoping she sounded sincere enough.
Olivia reveled in the fact that Missy couldn't come out straight and say she was sorry. Never had she once said it before why should she start now. As the song says 'Sorry seems to be the hardest word.' "So let me check this out. You like Marat but you've decided that you're not going to chase after him because I went out on a date with him, have I got it straight?" Olivia asked. "Well I guess you could say so if you want to put it that way." Missy said slowly. Olivia narrowed her eyes again, "Well what do you mean."
"Well ok. You know I still like Marat right? Good, well just as I said a few minutes ago I don't want everything to fall apart on this holiday because of a guy because we're so much better then that. So I'll leave you and Marat to do you're thing and I'll do my thing. Ok?" Missy explained. Olivia nodded her head still not fully trusting Missy.
They walked out onto the balcony where Andy and Marat were having there breakfast. "Hey guys." Missy called out. Marat and Andy turned around and waved at them, Marat gazed at Missy and Olivia causing them both to blush thinking about there secret trysts. "What are you guys doing today?" Andy asked them. They both looked over at each other and giggled. "Nothing…maybe catch some rays get some skin cancer." Olivia told them.
The girls erupted into fits of laughter, having been almost two days since they had both laughed with each other. "Well I see you have two have made things up. Do you want to go for a drive with myself and Marat up the mountains, exploring?" Andy proposed. "Sure." They chorused together and burst into another fit of laughter. "Well actually how bout we take a road trip." Missy said eyes sparkling. "Where too?" Marat asked looking at her. "Over there." Missy pointed out to the sea. "Missy hate to break it to you but that's the sea, you can't go on a road trip across the sea, you can sail but you can't drive a car across the sea." Andy said sarcastically. Missy stuck out her tongue "That's for explaining that to me A-Rod never would have guessed that one. I was thinking more along the lines; we catch a ferry from Valencia and go to Majorca. It's only 2 or 3 hours by ferry, then we spend a night or two in Palma and I promised Olivia I'd show her my home town. What ya think bout that?"
Andy and Marat looked over at each other. "Cool sounds better then my plan of going up into the mountains." Marat said eventually. "Can you guys be ready in an hour? That means all bags….no make that singular bag….itty bitty bag packed. If you need to wash your hair or whatever do it now, clothes optional." Andy smirked. Olivia and Missy rolled there eyes at each other and went inside to start getting ready.
+:+:+
55 minutes they were ready, they glanced one last time around the beach house and made a final check that they had everything and that everything was locked and turned off. They had decided to be very convenient and take only one large suitcase between them. Olivia prided herself on thinking up that idea. Missy was struggling on taking out the bag to the car, "Andy…Oh Andy could you help me?" Missy asked sweetly batting her eyelashes a couple of times. "You got something in you're eye girl?" Andy asked passing Missy by without even helping her with the bag.
"No…come on And please help me." Missy cried out desperately checking her nails making sure none of them were broken. "Hmm let me think about that…no." Andy tossed his bag into Marat's Ferrari with ease and watched Missy struggle. "Come on I think that snail is moving faster then you are. Drag it on the ground." Missy let the bag drop and screamed out in frustration clutching her baby finger. "I hate this gay stupid bag." Kicking the bag with all her might, almost tumbling over. Andy was clutching his sides laughing at her.
"Stop laughing you creep." Missy howled. Andy slowly stopped laughing and shook his head at Missy. "Women you're all brutal you know that." He muttered lifting the bag into the car. "Ank you." Missy said, her baby finger in her mouth, trying to bit off the rest of the nail. "Just remember you owe me one." Andy reminded her. "Whatever." Missy muttered climbing into the back of the car.
Olivia closed and locked the door behind her as did Marat. "Want to ride up front with me?" He asked her. "Sure." Olivia said feeling all gooey stuff inside her. "Ha-ha looks like you're stuck with me." Andy said climbing into the back. A look of horror crossed Missy's face, she did her best to ignore him but couldn't help laughing and joking with him. They headed down the highway and towards the center of Valencia.
"Can I have your hat please?" Missy asked Andy. Andy shook his head and gave her a look that said are-you-crazy-i-don't-wear-anything-but-hats-and-yet-you-ask-me-for-my-hat-don't-be-mad. "But my hair." Missy said pointing to her billowing hair. "You're problem; if you kept it short it wouldn't be a problem." Andy said philosophically. Missy hit him softly on the arm. "Ow… Olivia she's hitting me." Andy cried out. Olivia turned around to see what the pair of them were doing. "Missy stop hitting Andy." She said feeling like the mother of the pair. "Ha hear that stop beating me up." Missy stuck out her tongue and tried to grab the hat off his head. "Wimp can't even defend for yourself." Missy said taunting him.
"Oh so you're saying it's ok to hit a woman now?" Andy asked. Missy shrugged her shoulders. "How bout this for defending." Andy said and started tickling Missy until she screamed out for him to stop or else she was going to pee in her pants. Andy crinkled up his nose in disgust "Didn't really need to know that thank you very much." Missy giggled still trying to get her breath back.
Olivia and Marat in the front listened to them in the back, having a private conversation was impossible as Olivia knew Missy and Andy would just listen in. "Got any music we can listen to… to drown out those guys in the back." Olivia asked quietly. Marat laughed, "Sure check in the glove compartment." Marat's hand briefly brushed Olivia's and she felt an electric pulse rush through her. She found a messy disarray with CD's lying everywhere. Olivia looked over at Marat who was looking embarrassed at the mess. "It's been a while since I've been home." Was his excuse. There were several European bands that Olivia had never heard off. Upon finding a Westlife CD Olivia burst out laughing. "Care to share something with us Marat." Teasing him. Marat blushed "That's my sisters." Missy squealed in delight when she saw the Westlife CD and begged Olivia to put it on. Everyone simultaneously screamed no and Andy wrestled Missy back.
"You're a pop tart." Andy told her, Missy didn't even try to deny it. Missy pulled a CD out of her bag, "Please I promise you all you'll love it and it's not pop." Missy handed the CD to Olivia who reluctantly put the CD in. Fast guitar riffs filled the car and soon everyone was bopping there head to the music. "Who is that?" Olivia asked. "The Rev's." Missy replied. "If you're lucky I just might take back the pop tart crown and hand you an almost-rock-chick crown." Andy told her. Missy clutched her hands to her heart. "Really oh Andy I feel so privileged, what an honor coming from the great old A-Rod." Missy said sarcastically.
"No problem babe." Andy handed her over his hat and Missy smiled happily. "Thank you." She said putting it one, holding back the annoying pieces of her hair that kept blowing in her face. Olivia had watched the whole scene in her mirror and smiled to herself. Whether Missy knew or not, she totally liked Andy. Marat pulled up to the ferry terminal and drove onto the boat, paying a small amount for the parking space. "Right ladies and Gents, ferry takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. If we somehow spilt up we meet back her 5 minutes before the ferry docks in Palma." They all climbed out of the car and Marat locked it up.
Olivia was slightly worried; she had never been on a ferry and didn't know if her stomach could handle it. The ferry was pretty old, had a handful of cafes and one or two shops. They sat down at one of the cafes and ordered coffees all round. Missy and Olivia wondered next door and bought a couple of magazines; Missy spotted a tennis magazine with Andy on the cover and laughed herself almost sick. "I am so buying this." She said grabbing the magazine off the shelf. The caption on the front read "Ooh Andy." Making Missy laugh until she almost peed in her pants.
"Hey look what we found And." Missy said taking the magazine out her bag and flashed the magazine with Andy on the front. Andy's mouth dropped open as he gazed at the magazine. "Oh my god." He simply said. Andy covered his face in his hands, as Olivia, Missy and Marat cowered round it, laughing at every picture or quote. The funniest picture was of Andy in a Stetson hat, shirtless and wearing cowboy pants holding a tennis racket. "Now that is going on my wall…in fact I might blow it up to life-size." Missy sniggered. Olivia and Marat asked for copies of it as well. "Ok yes Missy you have humiliated me beyond belief, now can we please close the magazine or at least throw it away?" Andy begged. "I've humiliated you….na ah you did the photo shoot, you wore those clothes, you're own fault." Missy pointed out.
Missy reluctantly put the magazine away and opened up the other gossip magazines. Olivia and Missy oowed and aahed over several of the celebrities dresses and commented on how pretty they all were. Olivia caught the boys exchanging looks. "Is something the matter?" She asked. "Well we just think you women over react to everything." Marat said slowly. Missy and Olivia quickly glanced over at each other. "What." They screeched together. "Point proven." Andy piped in. "Alright explain this theory of yours then." Olivia asked.
"Well I think Marat phrased it wrongly. Being not a native English person like us he can't speak good English like he thinks he can." Andy said. "Badly." Marat corrected him. "Whatever." Andy waved off the grammar correction. "What Marat meant was, you look at magazines and comment on these women that you don't know. Sometimes you'll say 'Oh I wish I were her." You only know think you know these people, you read about there lives in a 10 inch column." Andy explained to them.
Missy and Olivia were very tempted to scratch there heads. "Huh." Missy put it simply. Andy and Marat exchanged those looks again. "Oh I think I get it Miss. There trying to say to us that we long to have other people's lives when we don't actually know them. We judge too quickly. Is that what you mean?" Olivia asked Andy. Andy nodded his head. "Oh…so what then?" Missy asked still a wee bit confused.
"Why do you do it?" Marat asked impatiently. Missy and Olivia shrugged there shoulders. "Why not, I mean don't you guys ever wished you had someone else's life? Not even for an hour or anything just to see how they live?" Missy asked the boys who just shook there heads. "So you're saying to me that you never ever wondered what it would be like to be Britney Spear's boyfriend, not even for a second." Olivia asked them. Andy pondered about it for a second. "Well maybe for a second, but I never go oh I wish I was him, he has such a good life going out with Britney and all that." "But you still do it." Missy said catching him out.
"Well yes I do but not like you guys." Andy said defending himself. "What's the difference then, you still do it. You're just like us." Olivia told him. "Yeah…but..." Andy said trying to come up with something better. "But you still haven't answered our question…why are other peoples lives more exciting?" Marat asked saving Andy's ass from total humiliation. "Because sometimes when you're down…real down and you glance at these magazines and see these beautiful women with beautiful men on there arms, you wish momentarily that you could feel that happiness that is created in that single second the photo was taken. It's easy for you men because you're so closed and never confine in anybody your feelings. We women need every so often to hear some words that will lift us up, that will make us feel special. Things like 'you look beautiful' or 'I love you.' To you it might not sound a lot but to us it's the world." Missy told them all. They sat there mouths wide open in amazement.
"Bravo…well said." Olivia said clapping for her young friend. Andy and Marat shook there heads. "You know I was beginning to think I understood you all but I'm completely lost again." Andy said in disbelief. "Have to agree with you there." Marat chimed in.
{Ah the weirdness just got weirder. Watching Safin play Pioline, it's so freaky and I feel so weird writing about him. I'd cut his hair a little, he looks much younger with his longer hair but still he's lovely. Ugh I hate watching him play so much Ollie. So no hopes getting up…there staying firmly down. If he wins he wins, I'm happy, he loses he loses then I'm happy too. Wow haven't seen him play in two weeks, hell haven't seen him in two weeks. Right back to the story.}
"Anyone want to go for a walk?" Olivia asked beginning to feel the signs of sea sickness. "Yeah, I'll go for a walk with you." Andy offered when nobody else said anything. Missy and Marat watched in silence as the other two left to go on a walk around the ferry. "I think you look beautiful today." Marat said teasing her. Missy shoved him away when he leaned in to kiss her. "Don't be such a dick." She scolded him. Marat pretended to look hurt but smiled at her. "Marat I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this." Missy said suddenly.
"What's wrong with it?" Marat asked beginning to get annoyed. "Well it's just I've been thinking and I'm not sure I want to do this to Olivia. She'll be crushed if she finds out." Missy said. "That's why we must keep it a secret so she doesn't find out." Marat tried to explain to her again but Missy just shook her head. "Why don't you just tell Olivia that you don't want to go out with her, and then in a couple of days start dating me? It will be indiscrete and she won't have any idea that we've been fooling around behind her back." Marat looked unsure and bit his bottom lip; Missy thought for an instant he looked innocent and vulnerable like a little kid. She leaned over and quickly kissed him.
Missy didn't want to say it out loud, she didn't want to anger or upset him but somewhere in the back of her mind she thought he was using her. As if he couldn't choose which one he wanted to date, so he dated both of them. "I like you Missy a hell of a lot. I'd feel really bad if I told Olivia to get lost, I don't want to upset her. I plan on taking her out on a couple more dates and then when she isn't so frightened of me I'll tell her it won't work out. Then I'll have you all to myself." Marat whispered in her ear, sending a shiver of delight up her spine. Missy felt a smile tug at her lips. Marat looked deep into her eyes making her forget all her earlier doubts and got lost in his lips.
"Mmm we'd better stop; they might come back and see us." Missy said trying to pull herself away from him, but he was like a drug intoxicating, she wanted more and more. It still wasn't enough, she wanted him and she wanted him badly. It was scary the effect he had on her, never had she wanted someone this way before and she felt terribly guilty at her longing for him. Marat pulled himself back and smiled at her "So where do you plan on taking us then?" "Oh far far away. Here let me show you." Missy pulled out the map of Majorca and started showing him where she was taking them.
+:+:+
Andy and Olivia were walking around the deck; it was only the second time they had been left alone together. They still didn't really know or like each other. "Beautiful weather." Olivia said looking out the window to the sky blue skies, cloudless. They always seemed to be cloudless as if clouds didn't exist in the Mediterranean Sea. "Guess it is." Andy mumbled. Olivia looked over at him in surprise; he looked downcast as if everything in his world was black.
"You ok And?" Olivia asked touching his shoulder caringly. "Yeah grand why shouldn't I be?" he said touchily. Then Olivia knew the problem: Missy. "What's she done now?" Olivia demanded to know why the hell Andy was so glum. "That's the problem…nothing….she hasn't done anything. I mean call me crazy but yesterday when we were out sailing I thought we were getting along fine, hell more then fine. I thought we had connected on some weird level. Olivia I feel as though she's using me, I'm not blind to it. If it was anybody else I'd tell them to get lost, but I couldn't do that to her. I may have only known her for a couple of days, but I really really like her. It scares me sometimes, I shouldn't like her should I. I mean its not as if she likes me is it?" Andy slumped into the closet chair, Olivia followed suit.
Tricky situation Olivia thought. Olivia knew that Missy liked Marat, but she also knew something Missy didn't. Missy did like Andy; she couldn't exactly say that to Andy as she didn't want to get his hopes up on a cause that could prove to be fatal.
"And I've known Missy for a couple of years now. She's not an easy person to read, she sometimes hides her true feelings very close within her. I don't want to get you're hopes up and say that she feels the same way because I just don't know. As you know we've been fighting for the past couple of days and I haven't had a proper chance to speak to her yet. Maybe she does feel the same way…maybe she doesn't. And if you feel she is using you then don't give into her; I saw you today helping her with the suitcase and hat…after telling her you wouldn't help her you gave in. Stay true to your word, Missy will use you if she thinks you're an easy pushover. But you're bet is as good as mine. Who knows what that monster is truly thinking…?"

Olivia and Andy came back to the table a couple of minutes later. Missy had planned the route to Banyalbufar making a couple of detours here and there but they should be arriving in the town just as it got dark. The coast of Majorca was appearing closer and closer until nearly an hour later the four of them drove off the ferry onto dry land again. They had finally arrived in Palma!

Chapter 6
Road trippin'
They found themselves lost in Palma for a couple of hours. Missy would see a signpost and tell them to go that way…then she'd discover that she had taken them on the wrong route…after 5 successful tries they were finally on the right road. Once they got on the right road it was clear sailing, even though it had been 5 years since Missy had last been to Majorca she knew the way back to her 'home town' Banyalbufar. The drive almost took an hour, passing through quaint little towns, rocky mountains and steep cliff sides.
The town of Banyalbufar was set in the middle of a mountain, famous for its terraces that grow anything from Tomatoes to Lemons. The soil is fertile for anything to grow. The sea a steep walk or drive a few miles below with a couple of sandy beaches. As they drove down the twists and turns of the steep hill road, the town came into view. "Wow." Olivia gasped. The town was a sight itself, as the sun slowly set in the sky it cast a deep red-orange glow on the town. "Home." Missy whispered to herself, only Andy heard her and gave her a tiny squeeze.
Eventually they arrived and drove through the quiet streets to the best hotel in the town, well so Missy claimed. Seeing as Marat was the only one who spoke Spanish they persuaded him to go and ask for a room, Missy, Andy and Olivia dragged there suitcases out of the boot and waited patiently for Marat. Marat came back a few minutes later, grim faced. "Uh tiny problem, she's only got one double bed room and then 1 two single bed room. So…"
"Well seeing as we are the ladies we should take the single bedroom." Missy said. Marat and Andy looked at each other and then shuddered. "Yeah ok I'm not sharing a bed with Marat. Sorry girl's looks like you get to share the bed." Andy said grabbing the keys out of Marat's hand. Olivia and Missy sighed and didn't argue with the boys. Missy made Marat and Andy carry there bags to there bedroom claiming it was only fair after all. The bedrooms were right beside each other and overlooked the stunning view of the sea and the tennis courts.
"It's half seven now, do you girls possible think you could be ready by 8.30? Please were begging you." Marat asked. {I don't know why I keep making him the guy who likes to keep the time…oh saw him in the after match conference…when he lost against dwarf boy…wearing blue t-shirt, he had his arms crossed and he was leaning on the table…had a lovely watch on. Man he looked so fine then, didn't seem too upset.}
Olivia and Missy rolled there eyes. "Yes we'll be ready." They giggled together and let themselves into the bedroom. "Man you so better not fart or you'll kill us." Olivia warned. "Yeah well if I hear you sleep talking I'll be putting a sleep walking foot into your mouth." Missy threatened back. "Good one miss." Olivia said sarcastically.
Olivia managed to get to the bathroom first and have a warm shower. Threatening that if Missy started singing she'd use all the hot water. Missy unpacked the clothes she planned to wear for the evening and wondered out onto the balcony, admiring the view. "Fancy meeting you here." Andy said from the balcony next door.
"Indeed, what are the chances of that?" Missy said playing along with him. "So I was just wondering if you'd like to practise with me tomorrow." Andy asked trailing his hand along the railing shyly. Missy chuckled softly "And are you getting all shy on me?" Andy shook his head. "Course not." He puffed out his chest all macho-ly. "Andy as much as I would love to get up at 6.30 in the morning and be killed by you…as appealing as it sounds, I don't know. I mean I'd love to help you as long as you promised not to kill me." Missy said laying out the terms.
"Cool, I mean I won't try to kill you." Andy smiled happily. "But." Missy warned. Andy gulped. "You have to let me cut your hair. I swear you could almost wear it in a plait." Missy told him looking at his long hair. Andy ran his hand through his hair shocked. "My hair, women do you know how long it took for me to grow all this." Missy glared at him. "Don't call me women. And I am going to cut you're hair whether you like it or not. I mean how the hell can you play with it blowing all over the place."
"How short?" Andy asked not really wanting to hear the reply. "Oh very short, do you know how hot you would look with short hair. I mean I thought you were hot now…man my ovaries would be doing over time if you let me cut your hair real short." Missy told him truthfully. Andy blushed "Hot eh?" "Real hot." Missy corrected him. "Well I guess I'll have to let you cut my golden locks. Shame but hey they'll grow back right?" He got slightly worried when all Missy did was smile. "We'll see." She put it simple. "Oh dear lord what have I gotten myself into." Andy moaned into his hands.
Missy smiled and went back into her room. Olivia had finally managed to finish up in the bathroom, leaving a messy trail behind her. Missy stepped into the hot shower and let out a scream of terror. Quickly wrapping a towel around her she ran into there bedroom. "Mother of God did you not see the size of the spider in there. I swear to god it could have eaten me if it had wanted to." Missy screamed hysterically at Olivia.
Olivia shook her head and went into the bathroom to check out the size of the spider coming out a few minutes later screaming hysterically as well. "I can't believe I had a shower with that thing. It could have jumped on me and killed me. Oh lord this is arachnophobia all over again." Olivia screamed out at Missy. "I have to have a shower Oll…I'm all smelly." Missy whined. "What do you expect me to do something? Wave my wand perhaps and poof the little bastard out?" Olivia shouted back. There was a fat chance in hell she was going anywhere near that thing.
Missy stamped her feet in frustration. "Have to get the boys to do it then." Was the only solution. Missy and Olivia looked over at each other in horror. Number 1 they were naked underneath the towels. Number 2 the boys would slag them for being such girls. Number 3 the boys would want to get a long good look at them…which they didn't mind…but they were naked! Number 4 they would never ever live it down and they'd bring it up every time at dinner. They both sighed weighing out the consequence if they asked the boys for there help.
"I have to do it. I mean there's no other way round it." Missy said logically. Missy wrapped her towel as tightly around her as possible and walked out onto the balcony. Andy and Marat were sitting there drinking beers. "Hi guys." Missy said. The guys looked over, eyes wide open taking in every detail. Missy blushed crimson. "Um we have an itty bitty problem; actually we have a huge problem." Missy said slowly. "What did you guys forget to pack some Tampons?" Andy said with a cheeky grin plastered across his face. Marat hooted with laughter. Missy gave them a look that was lethal. "Do you want me to tell you what we do with the Tampons?" Missy threatened. "Noooo." Marat and Andy cried out together.
"Good. Then listen to me. There is a ****ing huge massive spider in our bathroom. It already tried to eat Olivia. Please can you help us and get rid of it?" Missy begged desperately. Marat and Andy sniggered. "A spider?" Marat asked incredulously. Missy sighed. "Yes a spider…you know it has 8 legs and a million eyes, kinda hairy. Just come in here and help us." Marat and Andy rolled eyes and got up from there seats. Missy walked back into the bedroom and gave Olivia the thumbs up.
The door opened a few seconds later and Andy and Marat marched in. "The bathroom you say?" Marat asked. The girls pointed at the bathroom and they wondered in. Olivia and Missy listened to the boys decide what they were going to do. They heard the occasional "You touch it." And the "Just grab it." Andy walked back out. "Ok do you have a book we can kill it with?" Olivia gave a shriek of horror. "No don't kill it, just throw it outside." Being the huge animal lover Olivia was she hated any kind of animal even innocent spiders being killed.
Andy sighed throwing up his hands and walked back into the bathroom. He came out a few minutes later, his hands cupped together obviously holding the spider. "Hey you want to hold it?" Andy asked Missy coming right up beside her. She would have climbed the walls if it was possible to get away from the spider. "Don't come near me?" She shrieked out. Andy came dangerously closer "But he's so cute, come on just a little touch of him." He said, the evilest of evil grins spread across his face. "Andy don't." Missy was trembling so hard she looked like a leaf billowing in the wind.
"Fine, you're a chicken." He said and threw the spider out over the balcony. "You're such an asswipe." Missy said and stormed off into the bathroom slamming the door behind her. "Ooh." Olivia and Marat said together looking over at Andy. Andy shook his head and bit on his lower lip. Andy pounded on the bathroom door a couple of times, saying he didn't mean to scare her. Missy didn't answer him just ignored him. Eventually he gave up and he and Marat went back into there room to let Olivia get ready.
Missy came out 20 minutes later, half dressed. "You look gorgeous." She complemented Olivia who was putting the finishing touches to her make-up. "Thank…love you're outfit. I mean towel and bra? Did anyone ever tell you, you had great taste in clothes?" Olivia teased. Missy did a twirl "Designed it myself. Fabulous don't you think?" Olivia nodded her head in agreement. Missy finished getting dressed and hung her towel out on the balcony, giving Andy the middle finger when he tried to talk to her.
"Still pissed off with him." Olivia asked Missy. Missy shrugged her shoulders. "Not really just messing with him. Hopefully I'll get something out of it." Olivia narrowed her eyes "Like what?" She asked suspiciously. Missy shrugged her shoulders again. "I dunno, I have been trying to save up for a pair of Gucci shoes…" She trailed off. Olivia shook her head at Missy in disbelief. "You're terrible you know that. That boy is completely crazy about you and you play him like a puppet. You know he's going to figure it out for himself and he won't want to have anything to do with you." Missy stuck out her tongue when Olivia turned away from her. "Well for now it's just fun, you wont say anything will you?" Missy asked.
"This is between you and Andy. I am not going to choose a side, but really Missy he's such a nice guy and you're such a monster. You will give him a chance wont you?" Olivia said, she really wanted to see Missy and Andy get together, also if Missy dated Andy then she wouldn't have to worry about Missy stealing Marat from her. Missy waved her hand at Olivia. "Yeah whatever. Now scoot I need to use the mirror."
The girls were ready a few minutes later and they still had plenty of time, well it was 8.20pm, that's a whole 10 extra minutes until 8.30pm. "I don't think I've ever been ready early before…what do we do?" Olivia asked puzzled. Missy scratched her head "Dunno guess we wait for 10 minutes." Olivia and Missy sat in silence for 3 minutes, twiddling there thumbs and fidgeting. "Yeah screw this." Missy walked out onto the balcony. "We're ready to go…how bout you guys?" Marat and Andy nodded there heads and met Missy and Olivia outside there hotel room.
Marat and Olivia walked ahead, Andy and Missy walked as far apart as they could down the small corridor. "Ok what's it going to cost me?" Andy sighed. Missy smiled softly, her plan had worked. "Andy I don't want you're money. You're just a horrible person and I hope that spider comes back and gets revenge on you." Missy said in mock anger. "Look I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were Arachnophobia and now I do. I promise you I will never make that mistake again…ever." Missy sniffed. "Well I did see a nice pair of Gucci shoes back home in Ireland. Maybe a little donation would help me forget all that you did." When Andy didn't say anything, Missy made her bottom lip tremble as if she was about to burst into tears.
"Ok…ok no crying though. How much is this little donation going to cost me?" Andy sighed. Missy thought of a couple of numbers before settling on one. "500 should do the trick." She said rather confidently. Andy gasped "Jesus…oh alright. These shoes better be worth it. I want pictures and everything." Andy said. "Oh thank you Andy." Missy leaned over and kissed him quickly on the cheek. Andy mumbled whatever, Missy meanwhile was dreaming of her new shoes and what they would go with. "So where are we having dinner?" Marat asked once they all piled into the elevator. "Oh it's wonderful. I just hope its still here. It's on the main street and there are tables outside and you just watch everything. The locals hang out in the main square; the children don't seem to go to bed until really late, so they just wonder around."
Missy and Andy lead the way. "You look gorgeous Olivia." Marat complemented her. "Thank you, you scrub up well." Olivia complemented him back. "You know we haven't had a private moment to ourselves yet. I've been wanting to talk to you all day." Olivia looked up in surprise "Really?" she asked. Marat just nodded his head. "Look I know why you and Missy have been fighting. And I just wanted to let you know, it's you that I care about. I mean she may have a crush on me, but you do know that I like you, right?" Olivia shrugged her shoulder lightly. "I guess I just wasn't sure." She told him truthfully. He stopped and faced her, titling her chin. "Well I do. And sometimes I may flirt with Missy but believe me it's harmless, she's young and naïve. You're mature and know what you want. And I know what I want…" His kiss seemed to linger for ages and Olivia felt her knees go weak.
"We'd better catch up or else we'll lose them…maybe that's not such a bad idea." He grinned cheekily and put his arm around her waist. Olivia couldn't remember the last time she felt that blissful, maybe in a far off land she had once, but this was right now. And right now was all that seemed to matter. Missy turned around and saw the pair of them laughing at a private joke and felt oddly alone. Not jealous just alone. "Andy do you believe in love at first sight?" Missy asked him suddenly catching him off guard.
"Sometimes…I mean when you see that dream car, that's love at first sight right? Oh you're not talking about that kind of love. Well I don't know, it depends. Sometimes it can happen, but I think its more like love at second or third sight. What about you?" Missy sighed. She felt so odd, as if she was drowning and couldn't get any air to breathe with. As if the whole world was crushing her or she had to bear the weight of the world on her shoulders. Such a sense of sadness and loneliness mixed together that it made her feel love sick and emotional. She just wanted to be kissed, a kiss that would take away all her cares and worries that would make her forget everything. To be loved not liked but loved.
"Sometimes love can be the strangest thing. It can make you feel on top of the world or it can make you feel like the smallest person in the room. Right now I feel like the smallest person, no one is paying attention to me. I'm waving my arms like crazy and I'm screaming at the top of my voice but still they don't hear me. I hate it. I just want them to acknowledge me and ask me to join there conversation, but they don't and I feel sad and lonely. Don't you ever feel like that?" Missy cried out in distress.
Andy looked over at her strangely. "The worst thing in the world is to be standing next to the person you love knowing that they don't love you back." Missy choked back a sob and couldn't meet his eyes. "It's not always how you think it is." Her voice trembled softly but at least she met his eyes. His eyes softened a bit and a small tight smile appeared. "Maybe not." They stood outside the restaurant awkwardly waiting for Olivia and Marat. "Miss…just forget everything I said this evening. It meant nothing." Andy told her hoping to ease the tension.
Somehow this made Missy feel even more smaller then she was already feeling but she nodded her head anyway. Marat organized the table and everything to do with it. They settled down at the table which had been placed outside for them to enjoy the view of the busy street. "So anyone got any preferences on what they would like to drink?" Marat asked breaking the silence which was very threatening. "I'll just have a coke." Missy told him. "Water for me." Andy said. Olivia and Marat exchanged looks. "Well looks like you and me are the only ones drinking. Let's indulge ourselves shall we?" Marat ordered the most expensive wine off the list.
"So Olivia I know nothing about you. What do you do?" Andy asked politely. "I'm actually a photographer; well I was one for National Geographic but works running out. Soon I'll be out of a job and I'll have to go looking for one. I'm just your average Peter Parker without the alter ego of Spiderman." Olivia explained to Andy. "Wow that's so cool. Why don't you become a tennis photographer, you'd get to travel to every tournament." Andy told her excitedly. Olivia shrugged her shoulders. "Obviously I'd love that, I mean tennis is one of my passions but you don't get everything in life right?"
"What bout you Missy, what do you do?" Marat asked. "Oh I'm still in college, majoring in History and French." Missy told him. "Seriously?" Andy asked. Missy nodded her head. "I'm actually spending the next year in France as part of the program. It's going to be difficult learning History through it. But I'm big and brave." Missy flexed some imaginary muscles.
"Man I feel stupid. I mean Marat and I didn't go to college and you guys did. What is the world coming to?" Andy said sadly. "Yeah but then you make more money then Olivia or I will ever make." Missy pointed out. "True, but we have to work our asses off to stay in the top ten, you guys get it easy." Andy said starting off a huge debate.
"Ok whoa back up. Olivia got a degree which took a hell of a lot of work to do. I'm on my way to getting a degree, and I'm working so hard. All you guys have to do is train a couple of hours everyday and win matches. But if Olivia or I failed a test we were screwed, failed a whole bunch of them we fail the year and have to repeat it again. I mean that's a whole year of you're life gone down the drain. Meanwhile if you lose a match or a couple of matches you slowly go down the rankings. But then you always pick yourself up and recover. We so have it made way worse then you think." Missy said. Olivia backing her up with 'yes' and 'true' or 'good point.'
"No way, ok Number 1: training is physically demanding and leaves you tired. Number 2 winning matches isn't all that easy, sure we make it look easy but that's because we've been honing our techniques since we were 12/13. I mean that's 10 years for me, perfecting my game which is still far from perfect. Number 3 if we get an injury we're screwed. I mean if you do you're knee in you're out for a year, year and a half. By that time you could be almost out of the hundreds. I mean we've got to stay in tip top shape. I'm sorry but Tennis players have it way worse." Andy said making his point with Marat clearly behind him.
"Myself and Olivia have gone through 14 years of schooling to get to college. We've learned everything that they could possible teach us. We had to do our best to get into college, and when we were in college we still didn't know what we wanted to do after college. It's easier for you guys because you decided that when you were younger that you wanted to be a tennis player, I mean at 12 that's your career for the next 20 years sorted out. I've got maybe another 10 years at college and I still have no idea what I want to do after it. Olivia is only beginning to get her career sorted out and she's 28. I mean our lives are almost over when we finally decide what we want to do." Olivia patted Missy on the back. "Well said sista."
"Ok…ok you both are making excellent points and I have to agree with Missy as well as you Andy. But can you please stop the bickering. All you've done since we arrived here is fight. Please for the next couple of hours do you guys think you stop and then tomorrow you can fight all you like." Marat begged them. Andy and Missy lowered eyes ashamedly. "Yeah ok." The mumbled together.
"So Missy what are you planning on having to eat?" Andy asked trying to start a civilized conversation. "Well Andy I was planning on having the steak with pepper sauce. What about you." Missy sweetly told him. Olivia and Marat rolled there eyes at each other. "That's simply fascinating Missy. I was actually going to indulge myself in a steak too."
"Dick." Missy said ever so softly trying not to laugh at Andy. "Excuse me; I missed that, could you repeat that." Andy demanded. "I said 'Look a toothpick.'…think you're going deaf in you're old age." Missy made up defending herself.
"Ok so I think were ready to order." Olivia said intervening between them before they started another huge argument. They ordered there meals and Missy and Andy listened as Olivia and Marat made conversation. Missy getting bored formed yet another evil plan in her mind. She slipped off her shoe and slowly started rubbing it up and down Andy's calf. Andy jumped slightly at the first touch of the foot upon his leg. He looked over at Missy quickly who was twirling her fork between her fingers. Then Missy jumped slightly and pulled her leg away from Andy.
She leaned over towards Andy. "Did you just start feeling my leg?" Andy's eyes widened. "No…I was just about to ask you that. Did you just feel up my leg?" he asked her puzzled. Missy held back a giggle at the shock on his face. "Me…no way. So if it wasn't you who felt me up and I didn't feel you up then who was it?" Missy said trying to sound as puzzled as Andy was. Missy and Andy slowly looked over at Marat and Olivia who were deep in conversation about European and American culture. Olivia looked up from her conversation and smiled at them both.
Missy and Andy burst out laughing. "Looks like we found out who the culprit was." Andy whispered into Missy's ear. Missy simply nodded and waited a few minutes before she started it again. She waited until Andy took a sip of his water before running her foot quickly up and down his leg this time going further. Andy almost spat his water out and glanced quickly over at Missy. Missy mouthed 'What' before 'jumping' out of her seat again.
This time Marat looked up from the conversation and Missy almost peed in her pants laughing at it. "Oh my God I can't believe Marat just felt me up." Andy groaned making Missy laugh harder. "Ok we've got to do something; I mean obviously they mean to be playing footsie with each other and not with us. You go first." Missy prompted Andy to take the first step to total humiliation. "Me?" Andy squeaked. Missy nodded her head "Rub you're leg up and down one of Marat and Olivia's leg and see how they react and then I'll do it."

"Look if you want to put the blame on any war, blame it on Religion. World War 2 was a result of Religion, Hitler had a grudge against Jews because when he was a kind growing up in Austria the Jew's were all richer then he was and they were mean to him. So how does he get revenge…starts his own war by killing half the Jewish population of Europe. Then look at the Middle East, fighting over Religion yet again. And closer to home for me, couple of hundred miles away from my house day after day people in Northern Ireland are fighting because of Religion. Catholics versus Protestants." Missy said quietly laying down an extremely good point.
They sat in silence for a while thinking of all the valid points she had made. "Not all wars but I understand were you're coming from." Andy said agreeing with her. "Ok so let's talk about something happier." Olivia said trying to get everyone to forget about the conversation.
"Ok so everyone has to mention there favorite album of all time." Olivia said trying to get everyone's mind off the topic of religion. "Mine is The Carpenters Greatest Hits. Missy you next." Olivia said getting the ball rolling. Missy thought for a moment before answering. "Oh hard one. It's got to be something you can listen to over and over again and love each time you hear it. Most of my favorite Albums are soundtracks…so my favorite Album is….The Talented Mr. Ripley Soundtrack. Andy?"
"Easy…Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication. Marat?" Marat scratched. "Yeah none of you are going to have heard of it because it's a Russian Band, but it's very good."
"Ok Favorite Broadway show. Mine is Cabaret. Miss?"
"Les Mis probably, Phantom of the Opera a close second. And?"
"Only seen the Lion King, so that would have to be it."
"I like the monkey. Oh no that's not a Broadway show I just like the monkey from the Lion King. Never been to Broadway. I like Ballet though."
Andy sniggered but was silenced when Olivia and Missy shot death glares at him. "Favorite place in the world apart from home. Neuschwanstein Castle on the River Rhine in Germany for me because it's so beautiful and romantic and I plan on owning it some day…mawhahahaha."
"Paris same reasons as Olivia and plus I hope to make it my home."
"Monte Carlo because the girls are hot…hehehe…ow."
"Valencia…yes that does count because I'm from Moscow and I live there too and that's my home."
"Ok song or song title that best describes you. Born to Fly by Sarah Evens because the lyrics represent me more than any other song on the planet."
"Aw Ollie that's so beautiful. Another Suitcase in another Hall from Evita. I feel like I'm lost all the time and I have no home. Sad yes but truthful." Olivia gave Missy a quick hug.
"And?"
"It's my Life by Bon Jovi. Because funnily enough it is my life and I do whatever the hell I want to do. Marat?"
"Yesterday by The Beatles. As it goes 'Yesterday all my problems seem so far away now it looks as though there here to stay.' I haven't been so careful and it looks as though some things have come back to haunt me." Marat signaled for the bill. "My treat."
Olivia and Missy protested saying they'd pay there share. "Ladies if Marat wants to pay let him pay." Andy said not bothering to stop Marat from paying the whole bill. "You're a scab." Missy told him. Andy raised an eyebrow. "That's weird I thought I promised you 500 Euros…" Missy blushed. "What I meant was I thought I saw a scab on you're arm but it was just a fly." Missy said trying to cover up her mistake. "So I thought." Andy said.
They left the restaurant and headed to a local café that Missy promised to have the best ice-cream in the world. "He's giving you 500 Euros?" Olivia hissed when she made sure they were far away from Andy and Marat who were behind them. Missy shrugged her shoulders "I told him it would cost him for being so horrible to me and that spider. I asked for a small donation and he agreed to give me some money towards my shoes. I'm not a criminal you know so you stop looking at me like I've stolen something."
Olivia's mouth hung open. "But you have, you've stolen any trail of dignity that man had left. God help you Missy you're so evil. I hope he wakes up and smells the coffee before you rob him blind of everything he has left to offer you." Missy snorted in disgust. "Olivia don't make me sound like I'm some thief. I'm doing nothing wrong, if he was man enough he'd see what I'm doing but obviously he isn't. So why should I let it all crumble to a waste?" Missy stopped and waited for Marat and Andy to catch up.
"I'll tell him." Olivia hissed menacingly. "Why do you care so much Olivia? I mean really? Tell him if you want to, I don't care." Olivia sighed. "Look I know you like Marat and all that but Andy is crazy about you and I can tell your crazy about him whether you know it or not. Maybe I just want to see a little match making get done." Now it was Missy's turn to sigh in frustration. "Honestly Olivia you are a hopeless romantic. Andy and I are just friends, like you and I are. Got that? So Andy has a crush on me…big swinging knickers. Now drop it before I kill you in your sleep tonight."
Andy and Marat had caught up with them "Jeez you guys are slow." Missy chided them playfully. They made there way inside and selected a seat on the terrace that overlooked the ocean and part of the town down below. "This is seriously beautiful." Olivia breathed in the cool warm air and took in the stunning view. "If I was wearing a hat I'd take it off to you. This is a real nice place, well done." Andy told her, pulling out her chair for her. "Why thank you, but you can thank my grandparents they've been coming here for nearly 30 years. Now I would truly recommend the Pistachio Ice-cream…man my ovaries are doing somersaults just thinking about it." Missy wiped away imaginary drool.
"That's so gross." Andy said shaking his head at her. "You didn't think I was so gross yesterday in your bedroom now did you." Missy said joking. Andy blushed slightly then copped on that she was messing with him. "Oh yeah…wow. That thing you did with the legs and the arms…I'm still sore." Missy was giggling away as was Olivia. Marat was looking on less then half-impressed.
"Are we ready to order?" Marat asked them as the waitress approached. They all nodded there heads still giggling. Andy and Missy ordered the Pistachio ice-cream and cokes…after all they were the youngest. Olivia and Marat ordered Chocolate Chip ice-cream, a brandy for Marat and Gin and Tonic for Olivia. "You know I can't believe I haven't taken a single picture yet of anyone. Missy you're usually my model because you just love been photographed you vain little bitch. Now I want you to pose with Andy and Marat."
Olivia pulled out her camera waiting for them to get into the picture. Missy sat in the middle between Andy and Marat, half smiling half smirking. Olivia clicked a couple of times getting around 5 gorgeous pictures of them. "Ok now just Andy and Missy." Missy and Andy seemed to be quite uncomfortable at the beginning as if you had just asked the two of them to have sex with each other. The first was a forced pose but then they began to lighten up. Missy was softly pinch Andy on the arm making him cry out in pain just as Olivia was about to take the picture.
Then there were pictures of Missy resting her head slightly on Andy's shoulder. Somehow Olivia managed to get Missy to give Andy a quick kiss on the cheek and then she had it…the perfect picture of the two of them. "Ok…you're turn. You and Marat next." Missy said trying to grab the camera off Olivia then she suddenly remembered how freaky Olivia was with her camera and added. "I promise I won't break it and if I somehow manage, which I'm not, going to break the camera Andy will buy you a new one. Please come on Ollie." Olivia reluctantly handed over the camera that was her pride and joy.
"Come on smile both of you." Missy said trying to make them smile. Olivia and Marat forced a smile on there face and looked as though they had been sucking on sour lemons or something. "Yeah that was pretty hideous guys, can you at least pretend to like each other or something. Ok Marat picture this, you've just won Wimbledon and Olivia you've just won best photographer in the world. Jeez would you seriously look like that, looks like you're trying to not fart." With that Olivia and Marat burst out laughing and Missy clicked away.
"I'm sorry but I hate having my photo taken unlike you two who just seem to love the limelight." Marat said. Olivia nodded her head agreeing with him "That's why I'm a photographer I stay on the other end of the camera." Andy grabbed the camera out of Missy's hands and started snapping away. He took a couple of pictures including several ones of Missy's ear and then of a furious looking Missy who was trying to grab the camera out of his hands.
"Ollie I want loads of copies of that one with Missy looking like she's about to strangle me. Going to put them up all over my bedroom that will scare the shite out of me." Andy said laughing his head off. Olivia watched the pair of them squabble over about the picture, she leaned over to Marat and said not too loudly. "You'd swear they were more like brother and sister rather then boyfriend and girlfriend right?" Marat smiled and nodded his head in agreement.
Andy and Missy must have heard because they looked over in horror at Olivia. "Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Andy spluttered. "As in going out?" Missy managed to gasp. Olivia nodded her head, ha she'd really gotten Missy's goat this time. "Why on earth would you ever say that Ollie?" Missy croaked taking a long gulp of her coke as if to wash down a nasty taste. "Because look at you two. You fight all the time, you're probably the best of friends without knowing it and you're gorgeous together." Olivia said ticking off the points on her fingers.
"Well you're right about the gorgeous thing, but everything else…Noooo." Missy said glancing over at Andy, agreeing with her. "We don't fight, it's called discussion. Yes we discuss a lot but we never fight. As for best of friends, I've only known the chick…excuse me…Missy for the whole of 3 days. We might just be friends but nothing more."
"So you're saying to me, that you don't like each other physically? As for the friendship thing, you're just denying it because you don't want to say it out loud. I mean for crying out loud you named a boat after yourselves. Anywho it's late and we should get back right?" Andy paid the bill this time and the four of them headed down the road back to there hotel. Missy and Andy trailing behind Olivia and Marat.
"So you know Olivia did bring up an excellent point although of course I'm not going to say to her that. We are friends right?" Andy asked casually, arm around Missy's shoulder. "Of course why would I give her the satisfaction of being right. In fact I think we may be more then just friends." Andy gulped excitedly. "Oh really?" he managed to croak out. "I think by the end of this holiday we could even be best friends…" Andy tried to hide the disappointment that he was feeling. "Yeah me too babe." He murmured softly.
Oh Andy just kiss me Missy thought to herself. Everything was perfect and for one long moment Missy wished he would kiss her. Whatever she had felt for Marat was completely gone, Olivia was right she was crazy about Andy but was too stubborn to admit it.
"Have to hand it to you Cahill that was damn good ice-cream." Andy told her as they reached the hotel. "What can I say…I'm a genius." Missy said using her favorite saying. "I know and that's why I love you." Andy realizing what he said hastily tried to make up something else. "What I meant was…oh bugger you know what I meant." Missy tried not to act shocked. "That's why I love you too…not because you're a genius like me but because you're an almost genius like me." Missy told him tossing his hair playfully.
"So when am I cutting you're hair?" Missy asked him trying to forget what he had just said. "I guess sometime tomorrow. I'm going to miss this hair…but maybe the new hair will be easier to maintain." Andy fingered some of his long hair. Olivia and Marat were waiting in the foyer for them. "Ready to go to our love nest Monster?" Olivia asked dangling the keys in front of Missy's face. "Oh can't wait…you and me babe all night. Just hope you boys don't hear us." Missy winked at Marat and Andy whose mouths hung wide open ready to catch the flies flying around.
Olivia quickly kissed Marat goodnight whilst Andy and Missy hung around awkwardly. "I feel I should be getting some action from you." Missy mumbled. Andy leaned over and swept her into a huge hug, scared that if he kissed her he'd be beaten away. "Thank for that…it was oddly what I needed." Missy told him once he had pulled himself away.
Olivia and Missy waved goodnight at the boys as they headed into there room. "Home sweet home." Olivia said wryly. Olivia got ready for bed whilst Missy watched some Spanish TV. "It's the usual Maria is cheating on Miguel with Juan." Missy told Olivia when she asked what was happening. "Ah the old Miguel/Juan/Maria story. What Maria doesn't know is that Miguel and Juan are having a sexual relationship with each other as well as Maria." Missy burst out laughing. "You and you're filthy mind…Ollie I'm just gonna talk a quick walk. Legs are kind of stiff and all that. I'm taking the key so don't wait up for me." Missy winked at Olivia.
Missy somehow made it outside to the pool where it was lit up and looked gorgeous. The tears now fell as she sat down on one of the deck chairs. If only Olivia knew how there own Miguel/Juan/Maria was taking place right now. Marat was the Maria and Missy and Marat were the Juan and Miguel. Only this time Missy knew all about Marat and Olivia and wasn't prepared to do anything about it. She hated herself for lying to Olivia; she hated herself even more that she was running behind Olivia's back with her boyfriend. But not anymore Missy decided. This thing with Marat had to end because she had finally realized that she liked Andy.
The two people she cared most about in the world were in danger of being exposed to this horrible truth and only she could stop it. Why had she done it? To get back at Olivia? Jealousy of course was the number one reason…but then…now there was nothing left. She only wanted to tell Andy how she felt but she couldn't she was afraid, not matter how many times Olivia told her Andy liked her…she was still afraid of rejection. Maybe if Andy said it first…would I have the courage to tell him back that I liked him the same way? Missy's head pounded from all the thinking and her eyes hurt from crying. There was just simply nothing she could do.
+:+:+
Andy was bored; Marat was watching the same Spanish program that Olivia and Missy had been watching. Firstly he couldn't understand what the hell they were saying as they all seemed to be speaking at the same time and in extra fast mode. Andy grabbed the bottle of water he was drinking from and headed out onto the balcony. He gazed around at the view for a few moments before a figure at the pool caught his eye. He squinted his eyes and there was no mistaking the figure.
"Uh I need to stretch the legs a bit. Haven't done any exercise all day might cheek out the tennis courts. Taking the key." Andy called out as he slammed the door behind him before running all the way down to the pool. He stopped a bit before to catch his breath. "So I was just wondering if you'd like to…no way she'd gag if she heard that. Maybe we could exchange phone numbers and stay in contact or better off how bout you're address so I can stalk you." Andy said to himself. Before finally getting the nerve to walk over to her and talk to her.
"You planning on doing some skinny dipping?" Andy asked as he walked over to her. The sound of his voice made Missy jump slightly. She brushed away the tears quickly before he could see them; although she was pretty sure she had nasty red rings around her eyes from crying so much. "What are you doing here?" she croaked out. Andy shrugged his shoulders obviously not wanting to say the real reason for why he was out here talking to her.
"Well Marat was watching some Spanish soap and I decided to check out the tennis courts but not before I saw a beautiful lady sitting by the pool. Thought to myself why not check her out too." Andy mentally hit himself on the head for saying something as corny as that. Missy chuckled softly. Andy for the first time noticing her red rimmed eyes.
"Hey what's wrong…you and Olivia didn't get into another fight did you?" he asked concerned. Missy laughed softly. "No thank god. Oh it's nothing I've just been thinking about a whole bunch of stuff…" She trailed off. "Such as?" Andy prodded.
It's now or never…tell him Missy's mind screamed at her but she just shook her head. "I can't bare it anymore Andy. I hate this feeling…I told you earlier on about me being the smallest person in the room. That's what's getting me down. I guess." Andy didn't know what to say, was he supposed to comfort her in some way, tell her everything was going to be fine. Instead he just kissed her. He kissed her so hardly and with such passion that Missy almost fell off the deck chair. She wanted more of him as if the kiss wasn't enough. She ran her fingers through his hair and moaned into his mouth.
Only breaking off for air but then they were hungrier for more. "I think we should stop." Andy said trying to hold Missy back. She bit her lower lip guiltily. "I'm sorry…it's just I've been hopping you'd kiss me all evening. Thinking it was such a perfect evening…but that kiss was the best part of the evening. Thank you." Missy kissed his lips softly.
Andy sighed softly. "It doesn't have to be like this. I don't want it to be like this. I don't want to have one great kiss and forget this night ever happened…" Missy sighed sadly knowing that something like that would be said. "Oh Andy anything could happen if we wanted it to. But why don't we just let these simple little kisses that mean nothing, no pressure or whatever. Why don't we just enjoy them for the time being and when it's time to leave Valencia or Banyalbufar or wherever the hell we are let's just leave it all behind. No reminiscing on how something great could have happened, we both know we'll probably never see each other again after this…please Andy. I don't want to fall in love with you and have to have my heart broken…it's easier this way."
Andy debated it over and over in his head. "It's either this or nothing right? Then I'd have to choose you because I don't think I spend the rest of this holiday without one of those kisses." He softly kissed her smiling mouth. "Do I dare and ask what the hell we are or do I leave it?" He asked sitting down beside her and putting his arms around her waist. "Well we could be boyfriend and girlfriend but only until the end of the holiday or we could just be friends who kiss a lot." She told him giving him the choices.
"Well I think boyfriend and girlfriend sounds fine to me…of course until the end of the holiday. You know what; I've never had a holiday romance before. How does that make you feel?" They talked for a while more before deciding to go and crash in there own separate beds. "So what do we tell the others?" Andy asked as they stood outside Missy's door. "Well we don't want to give them the satisfaction of telling them we were right do we? We could tell them we've fallen so madly in love that we've decided to elope as soon as we get back to Valencia. Olivia will have a frickin heart attack when she hears that." Missy grinned evilly. Andy just shook his head. "You know you are just so evil but I like it. But how are we going to make it authentic, Marat won't be that gullible."
Missy thought for a second. "Do you have a ring or something?" Andy shook his head. "Well first thing tomorrow we go to a shop or something and buy a crappy ring. We act all lovey and dovey and then when they ask, we tell them. Oh I just can't wait to see there faces." Andy kissed her quickly. "Goodnight chicken and I'll see you nice and early at 7.30 for tennis?" Missy groaned and nodded her head. "Goodnight turkey." She slipped into her room and leaned against the closed door. Oh everything was perfect all she had to do now was tell Marat she didn't like him anymore and everything would just be fine. She just hoped no one would find out about them. Quickly getting into her jammies she slid into bed where Olivia was already fast asleep. Please God, she prayed, don't let anyone get hurt. Before eventually falling asleep
Chapter 7.
"I didn't mean to fall in love with you…"
Missy and Andy spent the next day playing tennis. Of course Andy whooped Missy's ass, spending the remainder of the day chilling by the pool. Missy and Olivia laughed at a couple of blondes that made there way down to the pool in the skimpiest of skimpiest bikini's.
"You better not be admiring the view." Missy warned Andy.
"What view?" Andy said innocently.
"Whatoooseee" Olivia said cracking her imaginary whip.
"That boy is whipped." Marat murmured softly into Olivia's ear. Olivia shivered feeling Marat's breath. She quickly kissed the side of his cheek. "And so are you honey." She told him with a gleam in her eyes.

"Oh who's whipped now?" Andy said smugly overhearing Olivia's conversation with Marat.
"Oh dude you're so asking for it.." Marat threatened playfully.
"Oh I'm sorry did I offend you whipped boy… cause you know I can go on all night." Andy jibed.
"Andy…" Marat growled.
"Hey Olivia can I borrow you're whip?"
Marat grabbed Andy and pulling him over to the pool, throwing him in. Unfortunately Andy had a firm grip on Marat and pulled him in too.
"So do you want to pretend like we don't know them or what?" Olivia asked.
"Oh were so going with 'don't know them.' I'm sorry I forget what age are these guys again?"
"Mmm 23 and 25 respectively."
"So not 8 and 10 then."
"Nope…oh…oh look at this. Two blondes heading to the pool, should we watch for a while and throw dirty looks or do we dive into pool and protect our men?"
"Oh I choose 'let the blondes drool over what they cant have while we watch from the sidelines.' Don't you think it will be interesting?"
Olivia watched, as the girls looked uncertainingly at the water.
"Well whatdaya know the bimbos can't swim."
"Shouldn't be a problem for them…boobs should keep them well afloat." Olivia and Missy snickered evilly to themselves.
Andy looked unsure but relented. "Ok…ok but you promise to go after me." Missy held up her hands showing that none of her fingers were crossed. "Promise." She told him sweetly while crossing her toes and legs. Andy took a deep breath and slid off his shoe. He quickly ran his foot up and down Marat's leg. Marat jumped about a foot into the air. "Ok which one of you did that?" Marat asked angrily. Missy pointed at Andy and Andy gasped. "Traitor." He hissed.
"Dude you just felt me up…what is wrong with you." Marat asked. Andy blushed crimson "But you felt me up first." He said weakly. Marat had a shocked look upon his face "Me…I never felt you up ever. What the hell are you talking about? How could I possible have felt you up look where I'm sitting, my legs don't bend at weird angles man." Missy was almost on the floor while Olivia looked on in amusement.
"Well then it must have been Olivia." Andy said stubbornly. Olivia just shook her head. "Sorry Andy my shoes have been on the whole time. There's only one person left and I think she's pretty much guilty." Olivia pointed at Missy who was laughing into her napkin. Andy just shook his head.
"I can't believe…should have known it was you." But Missy wasn't listening to a word he was saying. She was almost crying and had twice almost peed her pants. She gasped for air before bursting into laughter all over again. Andy was still glaring at her waiting for an apology. "Andy I think you'll be waiting a long long time before Missy says sorry to anyone." Olivia told him. "Oh I can wait." He said through gritted teeth.
There meals arrived before Andy could manage to strangle Missy. "Yum yum pigs bum." Missy said nibbling on a piece of steak. "Excuse me?" Olivia and Andy said simultaneously. Missy just waved her hand at them. "Americans…well actually Nebraskans you don't understand anything do you. Us Europeans got to stick together." She motioned at Marat who just munched happily away on his eel tails {yeah well I figure he'd eat something weird like that.}
"Yeah but you Europeans are strange." Olivia said trying to defend herself and Andy. "How may I ask?" Marat asked. "You just are. Funny customs and all that." Andy said. "Too right we have funny customs. We've been around a hell longer then you folks. Hell you wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for us. Be grateful oh little Americans." Missy said all huffily. "Little…America if far from little. We're the most powerful country in the world, hey Marat you should be on our side. Russia and America were the super powers during World War 2 and so on. What about you Miss Ireland? Where were you?" Andy asked.
"We were neutral during both the wars and that's how we intend to stay. We're just like Switzerland." Missy protested. "And wasn't it in Europe where both the World Wars started?" Olivia prompted another discussion point. Missy held up both her hands. "Hey don't look at me. Russia was in both of them, its Marat's fault." Marat sighed. "Blame the big Russian, that's all everyone seems to do."
The blondes treaded carefully in the water; careful not to get there 'beautiful' dyed blonde hair wet. They slowly but surely made there way over to were Marat and Andy were chatting. Watching from the sidelines for 10 minutes before Olivia and Missy decided that the Bimbos were getting too close to 'their' men. The more plastic looking bimbo had just touched Andy's arm for approximately 5 seconds longer then the norm.
"Right so do we just walk or rather swim over there and say something bitchy or do we wait here and wait for the guys to come to us?" Missy asked Olivia.
"Umm dunno." Olivia said shrugging her shoulders.
Missy gave Olivia an exasperated look.
"Ok way too much pressure on my behalf." Olivia rubbed her temples in distress.
Missy sighed. "Ok what we are going to do is sit here opposite the guys. We wait for them to come to us…we are not desperate young things, we are…well I don't know what exactly we are but we are not desperate that's for sure."

Olivia and Missy waited for awhile waiting for the guys to notice them. But Marat and Andy seemed to be having more fun with the bimbos, having a right old giggle, as Missy would say. Missy was about to bitch slap the blonde who kept touching Andy.
When the boys finally departed the bimbos they were meet with icy glares from both the girls.
"Don't even think of coming anywhere near us." Missy hissed.
Marat and Andy looked over at each other and gulped.
"Did we do something to upset you princess's?" Andy asked innocently not really knowing what was going on.
"Do NOT call us princess's…I'm sure you called those little bimbos princess's too."
"Oh." Marat and Andy said together slowly, finally understanding why they were mad.
"You're mad at us because we were talking to Dixie and Trinny?"
"No." Olivia snorted…then glancing at sideways at Missy realized that this was actually the truth.
"Dixie and Trinny…pah what kind of names are they?" Olivia muttered to Missy. Missy held back a giggle.
"Were not mad at you." Missy said angrily.
"Umm ok then…" Marat threw Andy a quizzical look.
"Right were gonna swim over here…" Andy said shaking his head and dragging Marat along with him.
Olivia could literally feel the water bubbling around Missy as soon as Andy said that. Olivia tried to warn Andy by shaking her head at him and motioning to him to go over and talk to Missy to save his butt from being totally burnt.
But Andy wasn't paying attention and was having more fun trying to drown Marat.
"Andrew." Missy said so coldly that Andy looked up and gulped in terror.
He threw a look at Olivia begging him for some help but Olivia just shook her head pitifully at him, knowing what was in store for him. Helping a drowned Marat to the side, they watched what was sure to be an ass whooping from Missy.
"Hey…honey" Andy said shakily.
"Do not call me honey." Missy said so icily that Andy was sure the water around him would freeze.
"Ok…ok…look whatever I did I'm so…so…sooooooo sorry." Andy begged.
"Do you even know what you're apologizing for?"
"Mmm…not really….right wrong answer. Ok I'm taking it your mad that….that…look Missy I really don't have a clue what your so mad about…but if you tell me I'm sure I can explain it and make it better."
"Well Andrew I'll tell you what's wrong….I'm feeling very neglected."
"Neglected? Uh why?" Andrew tried to recall how he had somehow managed to neglect Missy…ok he'd spent the WHOLE day with Missy so far…he had gotten into a play fight with Marat…they had struck up conversation with Dixie and Trinny…ahhhh that's why she's mad at me.
"Oohhhh sugar Dixie and Trinny…there like….nothing. You are like the Queen….they are pathetic peasants that have nothing on you. Plus there boobs were so fake…saw the damned scar and….ow" Andy held his arm where Missy had just whacked him.
"Oh" Andy said realizing the faux pas he had just made. "God do you really think I'd be checking them out…ugh yucky."
Seeing Missy smile realized this was the thing to do…keep complementing her and dissing the blondes.
Meanwhile Marat and Olivia had been getting cozy in the water…half listening to Andy beg pathetically for forgiveness from Missy.
"Olivia"
"Yes" Olivia said gazing up at Marat. Admiring his features, the perfectly chiseled cheekbones and his dark penetrating eyes gazing longingly into hers. Droplets of water glistening in his hair, running down his perfect flawless face. How have I gotten so lucky? Olivia asked herself, how have I managed to get the man of my dreams?
"Whatever happens…" Marat trailed off and broke the gaze. "Nevermind."
Olivia was intrigued wanting to know what he had been trying to say, but something made her stop from asking him.
"Do you believe in fate?" Marat asked her suddenly catching her by surprise.
"I guess so…" Olivia said hesitatingly bot really understanding by what he meant.
"I believe there's a time and place for everything…some of us are destined for such great things and some of us aren't…"
"I…don't understand Marat. What are you trying to say?" Olivia asked puzzled by Marat's philosophical mutterings.
"Just follow your destiny I guess…Olivia whatever happens here. If something bad should occur at the end of all this, move on. Don't dwell on it…move on with your life. And if Destiny takes you by the hand…go with it."
Giving her a quick reassuring smile that told her he hadn't completely lost his mind.
"Marat are you trying to say to me that something bad is gonna happen?" Olivia asked quietly.
"I hope not Olivia." Leaning over and kissing her ever so softly on the lips. Olivia had never felt more totally confused in her entire life…one minute she couldn't help but be filled with the kind of bubbling lovey feelings and then the next minute she felt as though she had been sucked into a black hole…one where she was entirely alone.
"I'll be back in a while. I'm going for a Siesta." Marat told her and waded out of the pool. Olivia nodded her head numbly. She couldn't help but wonder by what Marat had meant…she also couldn't help but feel that there was a secret message underlying Marat's deep and profound speech.
+:+:+
"I'm going up to the room. Want anything Ollie?"
"Nope I'm grand here."
"Okie back in 5."
Missy made her way up to her room, humming cheerfully. She noticed the door to Marat's and Andy's room was wide open.
"Marat?" Missy called out.
She peered in the door.
"Hey." Marat called out…semi dressed. Missy couldn't help but gaze at the magnificently toned chest.
"Uh." Missy shook her head trying to get the image of his well-toned pecks out of her mind.
"I was wondering if we could talk." Missy asked him, closing the door behind her…unfortunately the door didnt shut properly and remained slightly open.
"Uh sure." Marat looked uncertain.
"Look everything that has happened between…uh you and I. Well I guess I just wanted to let you know that I really like Andy and I want whatever we had between you and I had…well to make sure it was over."
+:+:+
"Finished." Olivia placed the book down.
"Good?" Andy asked.
"Mediocre. Hmm bored now. Right I'm going up to the room to get another book to read. Want anything?"
"Actually I'll come with you. Need to get something to drink."
+:+:+
"…Over…you and I. I'm sorry Marat but I just seem to like Andy a lot better. God I hate this. Marat believe me you're a great guy and well I hate this going behind Andy and Olivia's back business. I can't stand the fact that I'm hurting them and they don't even know it. So I…we have to stop it now before it gets out of hand or before anyone finds outs…"
The door to the bedroom was pushed open, Missy turned around slowly knowing what to expect but she still couldn't help but let out a small gasp of disbelief when she saw Andy and Olivia in the doorway.
"Too late for that Missy." Andy said bitterly, hardly looking at her.
"I…" Missy tried to say something but her voice kept catching…anything that could have made the situation better…but there was simply nothing.
Missy glanced at Marat begging him to say something to make the situation better, but he just gazed past her.
"How long…" Olivia asked quietly unable to finish the sentence. She was shell shocked, how could her best friend do this…with her boyfriend as well. God had she totally misjudged Missy?
"Your first date with Marat…" Missy trailed off. She couldn't but help glare at Marat who was refusing to speak…why was he letting her take all the blame?
A pregnant pause which seemed to last an eternity before anyone spoke again.
"I…have to get out of here…" Andy turned on her heel and walked out of the room, Olivia barely glancing at either Marat or Missy followed behind him.
Tears welled up in Missy's eyes, turning around accusingly towards Marat.
"How could you not say anything? How could you just let them assume we'd slept together and were that serious…what is wrong with you?" She screamed the last part at him.
Marat shifted his gaze and for the first time since they had been caught looked at her. A blank expression registered on his face as if he had somehow missed the whole ordeal. Missy shook her head in disgust slammed the door behind her.
+:+:+
Olivia drifted far behind Andy, lost in her thoughts trying to figure everything out. Had it really been only half an hour ago that she had been kissing Marat's full lips. Trying to understand his secretive message? God had she been really that stupid to have believed that Missy had given Marat up that easily…without even the slightest indication of a fight. Missy had gone behind her back and had….done it…with her boyfriend. The same man she had just kissed half an hour previous to all their revelations. Olivia shuddered and wiped her mouth grimacing at the very thought of what Missy and Marat could have possible gotten up to.
"Are you ok?" Andy asked once she had managed to catch up to him.
"I'm not sure…don't think so. I'm still waiting for it to hit me, it's slowly sinking in. How about you."
"Oh believe me its sunk in. I'm just in this state of disbelief. I'm really really hoping this is a bad dream. Tell me it's a dream."
Olivia shook her head sadly.
"'Fraid not…"
"God are we completely dumb. How did we miss it? The whole time they've been going behind our backs and we just smiled at them almost telling them it was ok to do so. I mean…Jesus last night it was Marat she was waiting for beside the pool and I just happened to stumble upon her. How could I be so thick?"
Andy hit himself lightly on the head and Olivia glanced over sadly. Realizing what he had said, Andy groaned.
"I'm so sorry Ollie, man I am so thick today. You can hit me across the head if you want?"
Olivia giggled softly before it turned into sobbing. Andy grabbed her and pulled her into a comforting hug.
"Forget them Olivia…they can have each other now, people like that deserve each other. You and I babe…we'll stick together."
+:+:+
Missy threw her clothes into the suitcase that herself and Olivia had bought to Banyalbufar. She figured that they would all want to get home to Valencia as soon as possible, go there separate ways. She knew there would be no chance to explain things to Olivia, who'd want to believe her after all the crap she had done to her. As soon as she got to Valencia she was out of there…moving as far away as possible from Marat. It was he after all who had caused the damage but yet she seemed to be taking all the blame.
And then there was Andy. Love wasn't an issue at this stage…but Missy sure as hell did like him. It killed her to think of how hurt he and Olivia had been when they found out the truth. Why did all bad things have to happen to her? She decided that what she needed was a long walk to clear her head.
+:+:+
Olivia and Andy had been talking for an hour about the whole Missy and Marat fiasco when Missy walked into the café that they were in. Catching sight of them she immediately turned on her heel and headed back out hoping they hadn't seen her. Unfortunately Andy had and ran after her grabbed her by the arm.
"Why don't you join us Miss?" he sneered.
Missy shook her head protestingly but Andy's grip on her arm tightened and was shamefully forced over to the table.
"Please Andy don't make me do this." Missy begged him tearfully.
"Cut the crap Missy. We want answers...now." Andy demanded. Olivia sat quietly in the background observing the on going scene.
Missy did her best to keep the tears at bay, lifting up her head confidently. She looked Andy square in the eye.
"What do you want to know?" She asked him…not letting her voice betray her with her emotions that were trying to break her down. She longed to sob her heart out to Andy and let him comfort her, but she could not be seen weak.
"Why did you do it?"
"Because I liked Marat and he liked me."
"Bullshit." Olivia exclaimed. Speaking for the first time since Missy had arrived.
"Look Olivia ever since we found out that Andy and Marat were our neighbor's I told you I had an interest in Marat. Why cant you except that I liked him?"
Andy had gone white at this. Seeing his face Missy quickly filled in.
"God Andy why do you think I was so hesitant about getting into a relationship with you. I really like you Andy and I didn't want to see you get hurt. So I decided to end whatever I had with Marat…unfortunately you overheard us."
"Were you ever planning on telling us about…you two?" Olivia asked bitterly.
"I guess so eventually…"
"Your unreal you know that." Andy told her angrily. "You can't just go around and play with peoples emotions…leading them on. How can you be so cruel?"
"How dare you say that. You of all people have no right to say it. You've known me…for what 4 days and you think you have the right to say such shit to me…"
"Your right I don't ****ing know you. I thought you were someone completely different, someone who would at least value a friendship. Obviously not."
Andy pushed his chair away from the table and stormed out of the restaurant leaving Missy and Olivia together. An awkward silence followed suit.
"Do you still like Marat?" Olivia asked hesitatingly.
Missy shook her head.
"No…to be truthful I don't think I ever liked Marat that much. It was just something…"
"To hurt me with? To wreck our friendship? I just don't understand…why you had to do it? What drove you to keep it a secret and go behind my back?" Olivia asked rhetorically not expecting any answers. She threw a look of disgust in Missy's direction before she left the café.
Didn't I know the pain this would cause everyone? Was I blind enough to think that no one would find out? This time Missy let out her tears, crying softly into her arms as she recalled how she had managed to create a huge mass of destruction in her path. I never meant to hurt anyone…am I the only one who sees this? What have I done?

Chapter 8.
"And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am." The silence followed them everywhere. No one spoke, lost in there own private thoughts. They left at dawn first thing the next morning and drove in silence to the port in Palma to await the ferry that would take them back to Valencia.
Missy couldn't help but smile as she glanced at the rearview mirror at Andy. Had it only been two days ago since she had been in the backseat fighting with him, demanding to wear his hat. There had been no worries back then either, everyone was happy and excited. Now the car was filled with a gloomy silence, one that was so intoxicating that you couldn't help but wallow in it.
After they unloaded themselves onto the ferry they all went there separate ways. Olivia who thought she was going to be sick at any moment sat in a huge armchair with a view overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Strangely enough looking at the sea seemed to comfort her more then frighten her.
"May I talk to you?"
Olivia looked up startled to see Marat standing in front of her. Uneasily she murmured a 'yes'. Taking a seat opposite her, Marat seemed to have some difficulty in trying to get the words out to what he wanted to say to her.
"It cant be that difficult surely." Olivia said prodding him along.
Marat looked up and gave a brief smile.
"You'd be surprised. First let me start off by saying that I never ever set out to hurt you. It's actually quite difficult to explain, but have you ever had that feeling where you cant choose between one thing and the other. You want to have both at once. Just like when you were a kid and you had to choose to have only one flavor of ice cream, yet you were greedy and wanted both. I guess that's what it was like between you and Missy. I couldn't choose between you until I had gotten to know you. Yes I was greedy and indulged myself…my mistake is that I know.
Yet when I got to know you Olivia I realized that I wanted only you. You were everything I had been looking for; you treated me like an average person overlooking my name and the tag that came with it. But I guess it was too late at that stage, the damage had been done. I don't expect you to forgive me, I just had to let you know that I never wanted to hurt you."
Marat rose from his seat and left Olivia alone again, Olivia didn't know whether to call him back or not. Maybe it was because he was Marat Safin…but Olivia felt her anger toward him evaporate, which she hated herself for. She still had this mad incessant urge to release her anger on Missy. The more she thought about she hated herself even more. It was illogical and certainly made no sense. Marat had used her…he had also used Missy. Could she really trust him when he said he liked her? Said all those wonderful things that had made her knees weak or was it some trick he used to lure women?
Whatever it was Olivia didn't know whether to run after him and throw herself into his arms and forgive him for everything he had done to her. Or should she run after him and slap him across the face, screaming obscenities? Olivia smiled to herself and leaned back into the chair, deciding against both. She liked where she was… somewhere in between.
+:+:+
Missy had decided to write down everything that had happened over the past 5 days. Not so she could look back on them and laugh…but to explain to Andy. If he wouldn't talk to her, he might just read what she had written, explaining everything. During the duration of the trip Missy questioned every angle of her friendship and relationship with Andy.
She didn't necessarily have to explain anything to him, hadn't they agreed that whatever happened on the holiday would stay on the holiday. Wasn't it just supposed to be a summer romance…they'd head their separate ways and that would be that. So why am I killing myself over this then? Why are we both so mad at each other that we cant talk. Am I more fascinated with his celebrity status rather then him? Missy shook her head. She knew she wasn't that shallow. So then I actually must like him…to be feeling this pain and humiliation I must someway care for him. And I've cried so many goddamn tears for him…have I just lost possible the best thing that could have happened to me?
+:+:+
"So what are you going to do now?" Olivia asked Andy.
"Catching the first plane back home. Believe me I cannot wait to see the back of Spain. Get back to training and get fitter for the US Open. What about you?"
Olivia shrugged her shoulders.
"I really don't know. I mean I love it here, it's got such flair and…god I don't know. But it just makes me want to do the Salsa or something when I'm here."
Andy quickly averted his gaze to Missy who was sitting across the room, writing in her diary.
"What about her?" Olivia asked softly.
Andy glanced in surprise not releasing her had been caught.
"What about her?" Andy scoffed.
"Oh Andy don't be so damn naïve. I've seen you glance at her multiple times over the past 20 minutes that you've been here. You cant possible say to me that you're not going to patch things up with her before you leave."
"I'm not…and I wont. I mean as she said I don't even know her. She was right…I don't. I thought she was the most fantastic person…beautiful on the inside and outside too. I really had the wool pulled over my eyes. Olivia don't look at me like that. I am moving on…"
An announcement over the loudspeakers told them that they were about to dock at Valencia harbor.
"Just be sure it's the right thing…that's all." Olivia advised Andy as they got up and made there way to the car.
+:+:+
The drive back to the house was more or less the same as it had been to Palma Port. Silence ensued them. Missy thought she had never been happier in her entire life to see that blue beach house. There she could avoid the world and the world could avoid her.
They unpacked their belongings out of the boot of the car. Andy and Olivia remained behind.
"Come say goodbye to me when you leave." She told him.
Andy nodded and gave her a quick hug.
"We've survived the worst Olivia. The best is yet to come." Andy walked into the house and waved goodbye.
Olivia made her way into the house and closed the door behind her.
+:+:+
Missy spent the rest of the day and night locked up in her room writing furiously in her diary. Eventually finishing writing at 3am in the morning she fell into a deep slumber. Waking to hear the front door slam shut. Instinct told her to get up quickly…grabbing the diary that lay beside her bed, she ran to the front door. But it was too late. The taxi had turned the corner out of sight with Andy in the back.
"No." Missy cried out.
There was nothing she could do. Andy had gone. Left before she could explain. Her whole body trembling she made it into the house. Olivia had watched the ordeal silently in the background. Only then did Missy notice her.
"Has Andy…gone?" she whispered.
Olivia nodded her head sadly. Missy made her way quietly back into her bedroom. Olivia rubbed her temples, what was she supposed to do? She felt enormously guilty on Missy's sake. Olivia knew that she herself would be crushed if Marat left without saying goodbye. But Olivia could hardly go up to Missy and say that Andy hadn't wanted to say goodbye to her, wouldn't that crush her even more?
Olivia decided that she had to talk to Missy.
"Miss can I come in?" Olivia asked knocking on her bedroom door.
Hearing a sound come from within, Olivia made her way in. Missy was throwing stuff into her suitcase.
"Hey where are you going?" Olivia asked alarmed.
"Away…away from all this mess I seemed to have caused."
Olivia sighed. " Oh Miss…you haven't caused anything. Marat explained everything to me yesterday and I understand. He led you on Missy. He used both of us."
Missy looked up from her packing.
"God Olivia…I never meant to hurt you. I just felt so special when Marat showed an interest in me. I mean my god The Marat Safin showing an interest in me. Believe me if I could go back in time and change everything I would. I'm just so sorry." And for the first time, since Olivia had known Missy, she apologized. Both girls looked at each other and burst into tears. They laughed at how silly they both looked crying together and hugged.
"I'm sorry too Miss…I should have told you that Andy was leaving."
"Doesn't matter anymore. He obviously didn't want to see me ever again. I can understand that. I acted so hideously in front of him. Just wish I had a chance to say to him I was sorry."
"You will one day…don't you worry."
They sat in silence for a while, leaning on each other for support, lost in there own thoughts.

The sun was having one of those magnificent sunsets, its blood red sky mingling with the blackness of the ocean. Missy was taking in her last Valencian Sunset on the beach, lost in her thoughts she didn't hear Marat approach her.
"May I join you?" He asked her quietly.
She nodded her head. She wasn't in the mood for being polite.
"Red sky at night, shepherds delight. Red sky at morning, shepherds warning." Missy said softly beneath her breath.
"Shepherds going to have a good day then tomorrow?" Marat lightly asked her.
"Guess so."
Silence. The crickets chirped as if to make the silence between them more bearable.
"|'m sorry." Marat said eventually.
"I'm sorry too." Missy said a few minutes later.
Without anymore words they watched the sunset take place.
Chapter 9.
"I am colour blind…"
"I'll be back in an hour or so. You will be ok wont you? Any problems just call me on my mobile."
Olivia nodded her head and watched her boss disappear out the door and down the road out of sight. Olivia gazed around the empty gallery; nothing was out of place, not a speck of dust rested upon any of the pictures. The lighting was all-perfect and there was absolutely nothing for Olivia to do.
"So…" Olivia whistled out.
It was times like this she wondered why she had taken the job. She had been offered the job when she had arrived back from Spain. It seemed at the time to be exactly what she had needed, something quiet where she could also work on her photography skills. Manhattan also seemed to be the perfect location; the city was so diverse and exuberant. At first she never thought she'd settle into the New York fast track lifestyle, everyone seemed to be rushing from one place to another. The lights always seemed to be on 24 hours in the city. But she had adjusted and had grown to love it.
On her free days, she would explore the city with her camera. Attending museums and exhibitions that had caught her interest. It was hard to make friends; she was busy most of the time and had little chance to socialize.
The bell above the door jangled rousing Olivia from her daydream. She let out a gasp of surprise as she gazed at the customer.
"What are you doing here?" Olivia managed to croak out.
"Is that how you treat every customer? I was passing by and thought I'd buy myself a picture."
Olivia cocked her head at Marat.
"Really? You just happened to be strolling down the road and by pure coincidence decided to walk into my shop of all places."
"Still don't believe in destiny then?" Marat asked her seriously.
"Yes I believe in destiny. But yet I find it somewhat hard to believe that you're here because you want to buy a picture. You wouldn't by any chance have talked to a certain Mr. Roddick now would you?"
Marat shook his head adamantly and then broke into a toothy smile.
"Well he might just have mentioned something about you working in an Art Gallery. And you're wrong about the picture thing…I would like to buy one. But only one that you've done."
Olivia shook her head. "Afraid not. All these pictures are done by professionals. You know people that are actually good."
Marat looked at her skeptically until eventually Olivia relented. "Ok…ok. I may just have one of my pictures in the back. Wait here and…don't steal anything."
Olivia made her way into the back, which had a darkroom for processing some of the main artist's work. She had only finished the picture she intended to sell to Marat the day before intending on keeping it herself. The picture was exactly the kind of picture she loved to have; it had been taken the day they had arrived in Banyalbufar. They had asked one of the locals to take the picture; Olivia and Marat stood sharing a moment, gazing into each other's eyes. Andy had obviously said something funny to Missy and the pair of them were cracking up in the picture. Two extreme opposites yet there was something so perfect about the picture. The minute Olivia had developed it and seen it, she had fallen in love with it.
Placing the picture on a stand she wheeled it out. Standing beside the picture, which stood at a massive 6ft and 3 ft across. It was something of a sight. Marat was gazing at the pictures and Olivia had to cough to gain his attention.
Turning around, Marat's face clouded with surprise then with amazement as he gazed at the picture.
"Say something." Olivia hissed, unable to bare the silence anymore.
"It's…just…so perfect." He whispered inaudibly. He stepped closer to the picture taking a better look at it.
Olivia tried not to let her jaw drop in disbelief, yes she knew the picture was good…but perfect? She watched his face light up and the long forgotten feeling of butterflies suddenly appeared. Over the past 2 months Olivia had done her best to forget everything that had happened in Valencia, but yet she couldn't forget Marat. Everything would remind her of him, a certain cologne he had worn on there first date. Olivia had tried her hardest to get over Marat, but with love you just had to wait patiently for it to leave.
Now that he was here and so close by…didn't he know what he did to her?
Your in my mind All of the time I know that's not enough If the sky can crack There must be some way back To love and only love
"Ollie." Marat said gently, rousing Olivia from her thoughts.
"How much is that gonna cost?"
Olivia shook her head adamantly. "It's a gift."
Marat shook his head and stepped away from the picture.
"No…no way. I cant except this, its amazing Olivia. It must have taken you weeks to do, you can't just give it away for free."
Olivia sighed knowing this could possible go on for hours.
"Marat, you can take it or you can leave it. I want you to have this picture…because it reminds me of the better times of that summer. Now take it before I smash it to bits…"
Marat glanced at her strangely as if she had just said the most obscene thing. Marat then said the most unexpected thing;
"I've missed you Olivia."
Olivia tried not to take a step back in disbelief, it wasn't your average 'Missed you' but something Olivia never thought she would ever see again in Marat's eyes. A longing, haunted look graced his dark brown eyes. Oh god what do I do? Can I trust him…is this his master destruction plan. To hurt me even more?
"I'll go wrap this up." She simply told him. She lowered her eyes and looked away, do not betray me eyes, you tell too much.
"Don't ignore this Olivia, please? I know I've hurt you so much, it kills me everyday to know what I've done to you…"
"Stop! I don't want to hear anymore. I've done perfectly well without you for the past 2 months, why come in now and ruin everything. Why not stay away with your miscellaneous women scattered all over the world. Why come back to me?" Olivia's voice caught.
"Because you're the only one I ever wanted to be with. They wanted me for my name, but you….you wanted me for being me. Please Olivia, I need you…"

Olivia turned away; she couldn't bear to look at him. A few seconds later she heard the door slam shut. Olivia let out a choked sob. Had she done the right thing in ignoring her feelings for him? She nodded her head, trying to prove to herself that it was true, instead cascades of tears streamed down her face. A second chance destroyed, how could she have been so stupid?
Her boss Becky arrived back at the gallery just in time. "I'm sorry Becky but I've got to go and meet someone." Olivia explained grabbing her bag and her jacket as she rushed out of the gallery.
She ran down the street her eyes searching every where for him. Please Marat don't have gotten a cab…please be walking. She stopped and glanced up and down the street desperately looking for him, but he was no where to be found. Suddenly something attracted her attention to the other side of the street. Marat was walking in the opposite direction, making her way across the street quickly she ran after him.
"Marat" She called out.
He slowly turned around. Olivia tried to make her way to him, but her vision was so blurred by tears that it was almost impossible.
"I'm sorry." She sobbed.
Marat reached out for her and pulled her into his arms.
"Its ok love." He told her quietly, trying to sooth her.
"I need you too Marat. I haven't been able to get you out of my head all summer. The minute you walked into the gallery I knew I wasn't over you."
Marat shushed her.
"Baby…its ok." Marat took her hand and lifted her trembling chin.
"How about we start from the beginning?" He asked her softly.
Olivia nodded her head and wiped her tears away.
Marat took a step away and breathed in.
"I'm sorry but I couldn't help but noticing you." He mumbled sexily.
Olivia blushed and chuckled.
"I'm Marat." He said sticking out his hand.
"Nice to meet you Marat, I'm Olivia…"

It was the end of October and it was absolutely freezing in Paris, Missy had about ten layers on but yet she still managed to stay freezing cold. I am going to turn into an ice cube if I don't get home soon. As she made her way home she couldn't help but gaze at her surroundings, she had been in Paris since August adapting to her new life style. In September she had started studying History in the Sorbonne, she was still trying to get to grasp the language. She was almost fluent in it, but the French people still insisted on speaking to her in English when they heard her accent.
She rounded the corner and started cursing when she saw the homeless person sitting in the doorway to her apartment building. This was like the 10th bum that was there this week. Right I am defiantly going to give this one a piece of my mind…well in English.
She prodded the person with her foot. "Hello…get up and sleep some where else." She hissed.
The bum started to wake up and looked up at Missy. Missy let out the biggest scream of shock when she stared at Andy's face. The people walking by stopped at looked over at Missy, who smiled sheepishly.
"I'm grand." She called out to them.
Andy gave a little chuckle as he stood up.
"Uh would you like to come up and warm yourself or something?" Andy looked uncertain but nodded his head.
Missy's apartment was tiny but cute. It contained one bed, a kitchen and a living room. It was also at the very top of the building, which meant she had the best view but also a beautiful well kept roof garden.
"Nice place." Andy commented.
"Thank you." Missy said shyly. Oh My God why is Andy here and why the hell am I acting all weird around him? Oh My God Andy Roddick is in my apartment!
"So…I'd better be going then." Andy told her.
"Huh…but you just arrived?"
"So I did. Anyway it was nice seeing you." Andy reached for the door.
"Nooo wait. We need to talk." Missy told him firmly grabbing his arm away from the door and plonking him into a nearby chair.
"But I don't wanna talk." Andy said.
"So you were freezing to death on my doorstop for what reason then?"
"Hmmm I needed to rest. Coincidence?"
Missy just shook her head.
"Ok Andy just walk out of my life again. Don't talk it out because your scared or whatever." Could this be true, that Andy was here right in front of her? 4 months living without him had been a long long time…too long. I'd forgotten everything about you Andy, damn you. I forgot how the corners of you're eyes crinkled up when you smiled, how you smelt. Your cologne is just perfect…but you're not. You've hurt me so badly Andy and now you make me crumble into something so pathetic. Don't you know what you do to me?
"I just wanted to see you that's all." Andy told her simply.
Oh god I can't do this. How can I stand in front of him without showing him what I truly feel? Not now Andy, my life was just beginning to work its self out.
"Well you've seen me now. Has your opinion changed somehow? Maybe you see the real me, the girl who is scared and cant breath when your around, not that imposter who was on holiday acting so cool and flirty. Andy you can't do this to me…you can't just walk out of my life again without saying anything to me." Missy was doing her best at trying to keep herself composed but a sob emerged from her throat.
Andy just looked on stunned.
"What do you want me to say Miss?"
"Anything, tell me you've got a girlfriend and you're madly in love with her. Something that will make me feel that I can get over you, that's there's no hope for you ever falling in love with me. Tell me that." Missy couldn't help but sobbing now. She had imagined this scenario a million times over, but nothing could have warned her of the pain she would be feeling now. There was such a sense of despair that Missy could feel herself sinking deeply into it.
"And what if I was to say that there was no one since you. You've just about killed me you do realize that? I've walked past your apartment three times this week, trying to work up the courage to say something to you. But all I could think about was of what a nice feeling it would be to have this all behind us. That we could start anew; the past wouldn't have to matter. But…"
A long painful silence ensued. Each lost in happier times and not stuck in the stuffy emotion fueled apartment.
"Imposter eh?" Andy asked slowly breaking the silence.
Missy raised her eyes slowly from the ground.
"More like Evil Twin Sister really." She murmured.
"Have one of those too. Andrew's his name. To be honest I didn't really like your evil sister. Sure she was fun sometimes but… I think I liked you better."
Missy smiled softly, as did Andy.
"I think I like me better too."
They smiled a bit more at each other, not quite sure what to do next. For the first time since they had met neither was quite sure what to say. Both a little awkward and very shy.
"Well I should go…" Andy said making a start towards the door.
Missy's heart dropped in disappointment but she forced a smile upon her face.
"Maybe…" Andy faltered.
"Yes." Missy said eagerly.
"Would you like to go to dinner tonight?" Andy shyly asked.
Missy paused for a second before answering.
"I'd love to."
And so the two headed out on there first proper date, both a little nervous and a little scared.
And for what had turned out to be a disastrous holiday turned out to be a happy ending for the two couples. Love seemed to be on the cards that one fateful day in Valencia…
I'll be your dream I'll be your wish I'll be your fantasy I'll be your hope I'll be your love be everything that you need I'll love you more with every breath truly madly deeply do
The End.
