Official News - 22nd April 2004
Official Marat & Dinara websites are being created as we speak! It's a joint project, (but individual websites) aiming to go online in about 1 months time (possibly in time for RG?) The Marat site will have competitions like win dinner with Marat, or 2 all-expense-paid trips to Bangkok tournament to meet Marat and stay at the same hotel! Marat also wants to chat online every 3 weeks (well, that's what he says - whether he will keep it up is a different matter!) The domains have been registered, the sites are being created, so let's wait and see what they come up with - it's exciting news!
*disclaimer* Competitions mentioned were the examples given, but could be just sample ideas at this stage.

geesh, finally an official site, though it'll be hard to create one as good as this one (not sucking up, just stating the obvious) the competitions and the chats sound nice, though I thought he didn't like chats Oh BTW just had a terrifying thought, the coming of an official site isn't going to mean the end of TGFR is it  -xxx-jes me |

Wow, exciting news indeed!  And I agree with ME that it will be difficult to match up with the tgfr-site. I've said it often enough that your site is simply the best, Ruth! it's my personal taste of course! ;D |

Don't worry Ruth, your website will remain very successful - I doubt that Marat will gossip about his girlfriend, his tattoos, his pictures... on his official website.
And you guys like to talk about these so your visitors will be faithful ;D

Wow, this isn't quite the reaction I was expecting...you guys seem a bit more concerned about TGFR staying open than Marat's official site?  That's so sweet of you!  Don't worry, TGFR will be around for as long as it needs to be, unless I get a better offer! *ROTFL* ;D Anyway, back on topic - I don't know how 'content-heavy' the official site will be and I don't know which languages it will be in either (I would assume at least in English & Russian, and possibly Spanish too...) but they seem keen on allowing fans a place to leave messages for Marat, as well as the online chats! (Although I think every 3 weeks is a bit optimistic - I think something along the lines of twice a year is more likely *lol*) I just hope they keep the site up-to-date.... Elite also run/ran[?] the official Goran Ivanisevic site but that kinda ran out of steam... The competitions sound really good though! Very exotic! But dinner with Marat? We've talked about that before....not the best situation to be with Marat  But I'd be happy to sit and watch him eat - who needs conversation when your partner is that good-looking!? ;D |

Once she'll be 18 and playing a lot and winning a lot there'll be more to discuss and more news about her, too! |

YES !!!!! fantastic news!  i love the idea of messages and chats (hope it will be more than twice a year Ruth! ;D) but i'm going to spend more time online everyday! (my internet addiction will be worse than it already is!  ) Ruth>>of course we do feel concerned about TGFR and i'm glad to hear you'll keep it open  And about the up-dating, Goran is on the way to the end of his carrer you know, IMO this can explain than the Elite management doesn't really keep his official site up-to-date. I'm sure they will act in a different way with Marat's site (they'll have to if they want to compete with tgfr) Nicki>>like Maria said, there will probably be more ppl on your site when Dinara will be 18, beacause there will remain no restrictions as to the number of tournaments she can play, and also a lot of ppl who still don't know her (those who know Marat has a sister but that's it) will finally discover her. She's already well ranked in the WTA hierarchy, and she'll climb it playing more tournaments.  So don't worry, ppl will come visit your site in mass Bichounet>>so true! i don't think Marat would like to write pages about how Dasha is dressed, or how tall she is ;D ;D |

Ruth my first thought was something absolutely vague (the thought without any words) and it felt great. The first thought with words was about yoour site. Realy. Anyway, THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I LISTENED/READ SOMETHING WITH AN OPEN MOUTH AND . OK, I hope that ya'll's computers will break when the site opens, until the end of the first dinner with Marat. |

WOW, I am so glad you all posted on this subject as I too was concerned for Ruth and TGFR But now I know I won't have to worry. I know it will be great to have a Marat and Dinara offical web site but we NEED TGFR where we can really kick back and have some fun ;D But Ruth if you do get a better offer ;)then we will understand will follow you for sure Oh Vassily.......Oh Vassily.....how could say such a thing ;D By the way Ruth is Dinara's birthday on the 27 April? thats Tuesday.......wow she will be 18 years old! Nicki - once Dinara is playing I always visit the site, its a very good site, don't give up please. I may not chat etc or have posted anything, but I do check it. As Damita said once she turns 18 and is playing more there will be more to read etc about her, so hang in there |
