Lau, I clearly heard: "Si van a fallar cada vez..." instead of "afanar", and it's most likely he said that. "Afanar" is too argentine... and though I'd love to hear him say that, it's almost impossible ;D But you know what? Before the "no me jodas", I'd swear I heard "boludo" You may be right, Anuschka. ;D ;D ;D ;DThat sounds logic. That´s why I said "if I´m not wrong" ;D ;D

Yes, because portuguese has more similarities with spanish, and we can understand each other pretty well. And besides that, I think Marat feels comfortable speaking spanish, and sometimes does it unconsciously (I don't know if you noticed, but when he wins a point he says "Vamos"!). Lau: sonó como que te estaba retando? (no fue la intención

wow.....this discussion is so ...spanish?? haha very in-depth discussion. thanks to everyone for translating and clearing up what he said, exactly hehe. that's so cool though, how there are like all these different "dialects" of spanish. marat's spanish is so nice, and yeah, i agree that he appears to be much more comfortable in spanish than he is in english. his english is pretty good, like he's confident speaking it, but it seems that his spanish is like perfect. haha and yeah, i never noticed the vamos thing before, but i'll keep my ears open for that from now on hehe

Actually, maratqui, I only found out because here they repeated a point, and when he was celebrating (fist and shout), his mouth in slow motion was soooo clear (you could "see" every word). Otherwise, I would have thought he had said "come on", cause they sound similar.

And sometimes, in the latinamerican broadcast (ESPN) they comment the spanish celebrations of Marat during the matches and they explain that he spent many years in Valencia, bla, bla, bla ;D

Well, thammie, Spanish is a very common language these days... (actually, there are more spanish-speakers than english speakers!! really!!! Spanish is the 3rd most spoken language, english is the 4th) hehe, Btw, I DO speak spanish, I'm from Mexico. ;D
