The avy thread! *read first post-avys in 4th post*

OK, I decided to create an avatar thread.
Maybe banners for signatures can be created too..., we´ll see..
This is the idea.... I know how to use some basic Photoshop and I offer myself to create some avys Of course, I might not be around allways LOL But as long as I have time, it´ll be an honor.
If anyone else offers their image editing knowledge, will be very welcome.

First rule would be: If I (or any other avatar author) posts an avy to offer it, the first one that replies QUOTING that avatar, can use it.

Of course, I ask the rest of our member not to use this particular avatar ;D
And don´t ask for an avatar you won´t use

Another thing...., If you want a particular avatar, of a particular photo, please post the photo and specify what do you want in your avatar..., if you want something written on it or not, etc

The next is a screencap of the avatar options in our " Modify Profile" forms. I will use it to explain something if I need to LOL ;D ;D That´s why I post it in the first post ;D

Keep in mind an avatar is a small image (100x100 pixels in TGFR) and you can´t put whatever you want in it, like a long phrase or something like that ;D And I suggest not having avatars bigger than 10 kb.

The same applies if you want a banner in your sign As a rule, we won´t make banners larger than 150 pixels height and 800 pixels width, right? In my humble opinion some signs have too many images (or too big ones) and it makes surfing the message board more difficult

I´m not saying you can´t use larger images in your signature, I just said that I, personally, recommend using this size for the images created in this thread

OK..., I guess that´s all. If you have any ideas, suggestions or doubts, just do it. It would be great to know your ideas... and I hope we enjoy this thread

You can swich off the siggies I turn them back on when I want to check what's new that people have to say or to show ;D

I know But I think it would be good having a balance.... Being able to see the siggies and surfing the message board without waiting too long for the pages to load...
Anyway, I´m not saying I´ll do something about it. I just thought it would be a good idea that, at least the images that we post in this thread as siggies have certain size

EDIT: Personally, as an Admin, I prefer to see everything posted or shown

EDIT2: I decided to add 100 pixels to the width, I changed the 1st post This is the size..., I think it´s fine for a siggie image

I created some avys...

-The first one to claim (say which one you want) one of them can use it. Please don´t use the avy if someone claimed it before you.
-These avatars are to use in TGFR, if you want to use them somewhere else, contact me before.
-Remember to complete with '100' when it asks for avatar height and width. (see first post)

Ok, so Lau, if you would be so kind, I'd love you to make me an avvie using this pic of Marat at Cincy. Since tongues and lollipops go well together...heheh



Now I am not sure exactly how it can work. You'll have to tell me but I will say the sentence I want and then explain how i imagine the layout and you tell me if it's doable or not.

the whole sentence : My sweet talkin sugar coated candyman.

Now I was thinking on the upper left and written on the diagonal could go...my sweet talkin

on the upper right written on the opposite diagonal...sugar coated..

and across his tummy...Candyman. If that is too long than maybe just do the My Candy man thing on the tummy...

Does that make sense? And also I don't know a thing about photoshop so dunno wat you can do with it...but if you could put an actual lollipop in there somewhere...maybe in between Candy and Man...like this....

LOL I think you´re asking too much for a 100x100 pixels image (the whole body of Marat and that sentence) you can´t see many details in an image of that size...Just to give you an idea, try to picture that in your avy size... But I´ll see what I can do and I´ll post some options for you Give me some time

EDIT But you´ll have a lollipop there FOR SURE ;D ;D

ok bia, I tried to do my best considering the image size and what you wanted... This is not EXACTLY what you asked for, but you´ll have an idea of what I can do with this image size
If you want to change anything, just tell me and I´ll do it if it´s possible
BTW, I didn´t know where to add a lollipop, but I think that font looks good Where it says avatar width and height you have to complete with 99 in both cases (see image in first post) And I inverted the image because as the avatars are placed on the left of the screen it looks better when faces in them look to the right....




EDIT: I edited the first post too. The image size for an avatar would be great around the 10 kb as max.

Post some pics for the banner (and if you want something in particular like something written or certain colours let me know too).
