It's been ten years since Princess Diana's untimely and unfortunate death .... hard to believe it's been so long already .... I still vividly remember waking up in the morning and turning on the news and seeing the wall-to-wall coverage. The family had a memorial service today, and Prince Harry gave a moving speech (which can be read here in full: www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe/08/31/diana.speeches/index.html). She should/would be so proud of her boys. (and I thought they did a excellent job with the concert they did on her birthday in London)

Today has been a really sad day for me We had to put my 16 year old dog in eternal sleep today She's been really sick lately, and last week, when my parents visited the veterinarian, he told them that's she's in pain ... That's why we decided to give her an injection, cuz she didn't deserve that at all, after so many years of love and dedication!!! She's now in doggy heaven, without pain, and she died in my arms!

Next best thing besides becoming president I suppose ;D This time Bush didn't rob him of the honor Al Gore Wins Nobel Peace PrizeFormer U.S. Vice President Al Gore has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work raising awareness about climate change. Gore, whose climate change documentary An Inconvenient Truth won an Academy Award, shares the prize with the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The panel comprises 2,500 leading climate scientists and researchers from more than 130 countries. Nobel chairman Ole Danbolt Mjoes revealed the committee had chosen the winners "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change." Gore and the panel will share a $1.5 million prize, and Gore has already stated that he will donate his share to the non-profit Alliance for Climate Protection.
