I mean..., IMHO it´s not that bad going off-topic in the photos thread, at least that´s how I feel about it. It is a little annoying when it happends in a thread that is suposed to be mostly about tennis

It is a little annoying when it happends in a thread that is suposed to be mostly about tennis Yep,I agree about torunament threads. When you said that you wrote for comments on the girl to be posted in the thread specially created for it,I thought for a second I was totally wrong saying anything about it at first place. But I realised then, that what actually made me think this way more than anything, and to compare the girl with Marat's hair ,was the next thing: there was a pic of the two of them posted in Offcourt photos, and there were also some comments on the subject there,so you asked people to go to the Marital status thread (and we don't know if she's his gf or not btw ).Then some girl, despite the warning, posted that she thought the girl looked like Dasha, and that post was deleted, and I just thought that that particular post should have been in the Offcourt pics thread, where it was posted . Im done! ;D

I would like to keep all the ''GF, girls, female companions we don´t know who they are or what´s their relationship with Marat and might turn into a private life talk" talk in one thread because I know how one comment about it derail a thread. That´s why I didn´t delete the previous posts there and ask to discuss that in the other thread. And as I said, I´d rather not have the same conversation all over the Message Board, specially when it´s more Marat´s GF´s related rather than Marat related ..., I mean, it made sense to me. I guess next time I´ll let the comments about Marat´s "girls" (or whetever can be called) be made in the pics threads too if that´s what the members want and we´ll see if this time things don´t go out of control (personally, I doubt it). That´s why I think it´s better if next time you make this comments as a suggestion in the forum for them, because I doubt everyone is reading it and I would like to have everyone´s opinion.
EDIT: So, if you want something to change, start a thread in the Problems, Answers & Rules forum, and if that´s not the case I would suggest you to contact us privately and not make any public comment at all.

Well,I obviously didn't think it was that big a problem to need a whole new thread. It just crossed my mind while I was talking about resemblance between Marat in that pic and serbian BB winner . My public comment was a comment on Annie's public comment which turned out to be a joke .I don't know when I should take it seriously anymore-last time when I didn't,some posts got deleted .

well, I think you´re intelligent enough to know the difference between a post that has to be taken seriously and one that hans´t, so that´s not an excuse. On the other hand, I would appreciate if our moderation decisions are not questioned every time we take one. One of our rules is "Admins decisions are final: please respect that". I have no problem explaining why I made a decision, or considering changes, but it seems this comes always from the same person. And I know you´re intelligent enough to play with the thin line between a serious statement and a joke, so, unless you want to make suggestions, you know what you have to do

Well,Im sorry, but what am I supposed to think when I see Annie say she'd kill me one day and then again her, rolling eyes at me in the Above me game? When I was questioning your decisions before? If you're talking about The trippin' thread,I only thought there's a better reason for closing that thread than minors - and that is respect for Marat which me and some other people obviously don't have .As Bia said-It's better to close The trippin' thread-minors will be grateful...Well not the minors, but the admins will .

I have no idea what Annie posted in that thread in this poarticular case because I haven´t been there lately, so you might wanna ask her.
I replied you about what I was concerned and the decisions I made. And you always seem to have some comments about the way we moderate. I don´t remember specific cases, but there are always little comments from you here and there. Many times they seem to be "jokes". So, as I said, I prefer you create a thread if you think it needs a change, otherwise, contact us or don´t make public comments questioning our decisions.
It was you who asked to closed "The trippin' thread". The rules here are pretty clear and more than one time they were not respected there. Those rules existed BEFORE that thread was created, so, it was pretty clear how we would moderate some of the things there. Actually, I posted there 1 time, if I´m not wrong, when I asked to take Annie´s posts seriously. Funny you brough that issue here now.
And sorry, but I won´t continue replying about this anymore. I´m getting tired of it and I´m afraid I´m not in the right mood. Finally, whether you like it or not, it all comes to "Admins decisions are final: please respect that".
I just want everyone to know that we put our best effort to do the best job here and yes, suggestions are very welcomed and anyone can contact us privately for any thing you want, need, etc.

but it seems this comes always from the same person. Funny you brough that issue here now. I don't think it's funny-I asked you when I was questioning your decisions and I wrote that I remembered that discussion we had and it was about the reason for closing the thread. That's all. And,by the way,I said on that occassion that I disagree with you on some points but that I also respect your decisions since you're the admins .

Ok, I am just going to throw my two cents in here. I'm posting here becasue as Sonja said I really don't think it's worth starting an entire thread to discuss something which really should be a non issue. In my opinion it all comes down to members of this board being responsible and trying to moderate themselves to a certain extent. I understand, Lau's point about wanting to keep all comments about Marat and his, shall we just call them "others" to their designated area. Let's just take the example of this last situation. If you want to post a profile and information on Natalia then yeah, take it to the GF thread becasue that's where it belongs. At the same time though, if for example a pic of the two of them at Igor's match had turned up in DC thread, I think people should be allowed to comment on it there as well, on the condition that it doesn't become an analysis of their relationship or lack thereof. The point is that it's as much up to the members as the admins to make sure that discussions don't get too far off topic. I think everyone here is intelligent enough to know the what the limits are. And if the admins disagree with a particular post, they are well within their right to to say so and take whatever action they deem necessary. To summarize: I think that members need to think carefully about what they post and evaluate for themselves how appropriate a post is for a particular thread. On the other hand I think that Admins should mostly intervene if something is misplaced or someone has crossed the line. I'm not saying that trying to prevent things getting out of control is a bad idea, just that on certain occasions, the preventative posts can actually make something a bigger deal than it needs to be. I've said my piece and now I'm going back to Lollipop Lane. The don't disturb sign is still in effect.

I´m just saying this. I deleted posts from the DC thread (easily, 5/6 of them) that even had links to pages of a model agency or something like that about this girl. I told 2 pages before that that if someone wanted to make a comment about this particular issue, they could do it in the appropriate thread. And going off-topic with this issue is different from going off-topic with others because, as I explained, it is a "special" topic that produces in some of our members strong feelings. In fact., like I said , we have members that only post about it. and this is what was posted (in the off-court pics thread) BEFORE I asked them to go to the GF thread its not its a model called tkalina or something!? Nothing wrong with that, but there was already a conversation about it in the other thread (and the answer to that was already posted there!!) and I know what kind and what amount of posts that can generate. And then someone (I honestly don´t remember who) posted something about it, which I deleted. Honestly, go to the other thread!! It´s not that difficult. Post the photo you want to talk about there again if you feel like. There are guidelines, which are, mostly, as long as we are respectful, every comment is fine. I´m not censoring anything, I just wish the GF talk doesn´t invade the whole message board. But it´s fine, I won´t touch any post in the pics thread in the future and see what happends if new pics of them (or more than one photo of Marat and other girl appear) and we´ll see what happends. I HOPE that if the people read this they´ll know where the limit is. That won´t probably happen because some people only read threads about Marat and his "others" (and please, I´m not saying that´s wrong or bad, it´s just a fact).
