This is my cat Clémentine in 1985 when she was little. She died at the age of 19. This is kitty number 2, his name is Félix. He also died, but younger, hit by a car. No more cats in the house except the neighbourg's who comes visit us sometimes (well actually he visits the kitchen!!!) ;D

I'm sorry about your cats Emma. Felix looks rather severe in his photo. We have 3 cats who hate each other so it gets a bit noisy at times. Also sorry that you have some colour blindness. Maybe you have a greater awareness of light and shadow than other people; you certainly caught the variation of those two things going on in the sky in the beach picture. I almost felt as if the sky was dissolving in front of me. Keep taking the photos.!! Have you ever tried using black and white film?

Annie I've just seen your pictures of the Greek sunset. That line of fiery light lying along the horizon is very mesmerising. I almost feel that i could walk on water to get there. But then it would be a nightmare. The evening must have felt very dark when the sunset was finished. Bye-bye from the sun-worshipper

Thanks ruth, I actually have no idea what I'm doing when I take a picture but I'm a lucky girl because it usually turns into something really nice. I've allways wanted to try black and white film but I haven't done it yet. Kisses

Back to Monet - in the National gallery london there is a room devoted to irises painted by him. You can sit there and be surrounded on 3 sides by varying shades of purple and green and almost feel that you are being submerged in the colours. Hubby and I were in London in December and saw a number of Monet works at The National Gallery ;D It was heaven
