You may think that I am weird but I like to follow astrology, I find it fascinating..anyways I buy my star sign book at the beginning of the year and there are times that are very good for cutting you hair but at a time that it will encourage growth and times that are good for stunting growth...even days for conditioning , getting nails done as well as shaving or waxing legs and other areas....I have followed this for about two years and not only do you save heaps of money but you will look good too...I think the link is www.miltonblack.com.au

To remove split ends, take small sections of hair and carefully twist them in a gentle dwonward motion. Any split ends will automatically stick out. Carefully snip it with scissors. Don't cut right through, just cut through thte thickness to remove damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect.
to make your skin glow and shine, use milk. combine a cup of instant milk powder with 3 drops of almond oil. soak in it for at least 15 mins. then rub your skin vigorously with a cloth of loofah to remove dead skin. It's the best body exfoliation that won't cost you much.

Hey raghda, I missed you too!
So your hairdresser actually uses the olive oil on her own hair? Hmmm, then maybe I should give it a go too, at least she's a professional and is supposed to know what she's doing right?
I found some kind of make-it-yourself-hairmask, don't think I'll try it though, it sounds a bit messy, and btw, strawberries are out of season ;D
Strawberry Hair Mask: Mash eight strawberries with one tablespoon mayonnaise. Massage into washed, damp hair. Cover with a shower cap, then a warm towel. Wash out with a shampoo/conditioner combination. This luscious mix of rich acidic berries will leave your hair both conditioned and with rich gloss.

ive got a 'beauty tip'. this works because i have tried it before. If you have oily roots, and cant be stuffed washing your hair, shake a little bit of talcum powder through your scalp to get rid of that 'oily' look.. it really works, just make sure you dont overdose on the powder and end up with white hair.. it can really mess with your age.. lol

for dry hands - mix a table spoon of sugar with your favourite moisturiser and massage into hands. wash off and then moisturise once more.
for dry, cracked lips- put some clear gloss on lips, and then dab a pinch of sugar on your lips. smudge your lips together for 20seconds, and then wash off
