i have to say love15 i am not a fan of soccer and secretly (well not as secretly now...!!) hope that the socceroos don't go very well - not that they're likely to against the likes of brazil and japan. the lack of goals makes it boring for me and i think there are games which require a lot more skill. i do appreciate that it is difficult and that it is very very popular the world over but the soccer ("football" as they call themselves - in a country that has four types of football!) fed of australia has left a bad taste in my mouth that i can't get rid of.
i did try and get into it when i was at school cos one of my best friends was a fanatic and represented australia at under-17's but it just grinds me down somehow...
give me tennis anyday!!

LOL. hmm, your hope may come true seeing as they are in a tough group...although i really hope they do make it next year. i believe soccer / football is a great game of skill, passion and team work. personally, its awesome! haha.. As for the other Footys, i think the sport of rugby is a bit barbaric.. "position vacant, see within: must be: beefed, tough, able to jump on men, willing to break bones on weekly basis, and wear tight little shorts.. lol.. but even those guys have to keep super fit!!, so i still admire the players. i rekkon theres plenty of room for soccer to grow in oz, and why shouldnt it! ;D ;D, its a fun, social game. anywhoos, hands down, tennis as a sport has it all, no questions asked  love15 |

I must say I am totally ecstatic World Cup has started ;D ;D ;D Watched all the matches so far and I must say I truly enjoyed yesterday's Australia-Japan encounter  Japan led 1:0 until 8 minutes before the final whistle and then Ozzies scored 3 goals in 8 minutes LOL ;D ;D ;D Italy was good yesterday and so was Czech Republic...had great fun watching African teams...Cote D'Ivoire was great even though they lost Today some interesting games: Switzerland-France and Brazil-Croatia..should be great ;D ;D ;D |
