well there are a lot of parentless kids here just like anywhere else. There are a lot of what we call "unfortunate families" with parents being alcoholics or drug addicts or girls getting pregnant extremely young and then they just leave their children after birth even though they might be perfectly healthy This is a huge counrty with a lot of people who are not well off at all, so yes...loads of orphans

Parents take care of the kids until they move out or get married, etc. In fact here parents help their kids out with buying apartments, houses, etc (if they can that is of course). But we're very homey kids usually and live with our folks until the last minute. In fact some young families live with the parents after they get married until they can afford to buy or rent a place for themselves (my hubby's sister and her husband live with my in-laws and they've been married for like 4 years already), I do not find that healthy for your family though but quite a few people do that Well in fact, quite a few families I know are very conservative when it comes to their kids (including mine). Parents don't approve of their kids living with someone without getting married and try to keep them home as long as they can. It's an old way of thinking but it exists till today in some families

hey can i kinda steal the thread for something kind of off topic? have any of you seen the bourne supremacy? the hit man, kirill (i think that is his name) is a.) hot but b.) not russian. he speaks russian in it but he is apparantly new zealander. does he speak russian well? or does he have the worst of pronunciation and accents? i can't tell and was wondering whether it might be a second languuage of his, hence him being chosen for the part...??

Okay, i would just like to know how the people in Russia are concerning T.A.T.U. (music, 2 girls). i can remember there 1st song and in the video they were kissing which is a bit obscene and apparently got a lot of stick from many people. Are they fairly known in Russia.

Well....one by one LOL 1. mackiemad re:Bourne Supremacy. That New Zealander didn't speak very good Russian. Although it wasn't as bad as it usually is in the Bond movies or as horrendous as John Cleese's Russian was in "A fish called Wanda" but it wasn't good at all...couldn't understand many words ;D 2. Re: Elena shouting after a good shot. She says AT-LICH-NO (stress on the i) which means Excellent ;D 3. Ily re:TATU. Don't get me started Such a popular way of becoming famous - being scandalous They are very popular in Russia, well they were until they disappeared for a couple of years coz one of the singers (the one with short hair) had a baby. Aparently they're in the States now recording a new album. God help us LOL
