(you know what certain tgfr people said seriusly when they saw me on the web cam? (with just one vertical line) cos when i send letters to germany, the post office ppl don't understand what i'm writing when i write ONE as a vertical line w/o the hook. and my letter ended up getting delayed by a month.  |

Didn't know where to post my report from Sopot, but because I'm having holidays now, I've decided to post it here. But before I start I want to say: have fun Nicki and Vass!!!! Okay I'll start from the begining (no shit, really  ? ). I went to Sopot with my cousine. We met there with my other cousine who bought the tickets for us. She was to go there with us, but it turned out that she had to go to work  . So as soon as she gave us the tickets we went to the courts to look around coz both of us were there for the first time. We came around the center court and met Rafael Nadal with some of his friends (don't know who they were coz I didn't want to stare). I didn't ask for an autograph coz I don't care about him and he's indifferent to me. And I did the right thing! Why? Because we went to the practice courts and who did I see? Anastasia Myskina . She was surrounded with some kids asking her for autographs. It gave me some time to prepare my camera. When the kids left I asked her for a photo. I knew she was in a hurry coz her coach was already waiting for her, but still she was very nice and she smiled. So I have a pic with her ;D. We waited for her to start practicing as we wanted to take some pics, but she was quite far and she was sitting on the bench and talking to her coach. So after a while we resigned, especially that the first match on the center court was about to start. We didn't have good places to take pics (coz we were sitting quite high), but it was good enough to watch the game. First match it was Ferrer v Acasuso. Not bad, but pretty boring so there's really nothing to talk about. I was more concentrated on the VIP's box coz I was sitting very close to it ;D. There were some Polish actors, singers, sportmen and even Bjorn Borg... Well, actually I thought it was Gilermo Villas sitting there but everybody around kept saying that it's Borg so okay, let them be (though I still think it was Gilermo  !). Next played Myskina. We took some photos of her, but don't expect that they will be good, coz like I said, we were sitting quite far and the zoom in my cousin's camera wasn't all that good . But there was a guy sitting in front of us who had a better camera so I asked him to send me the pics he had taken. However if you want to see them you need to be patient, coz he said that he would send them next week or maybe even later . Anyway, the match was fast and even though Anastasia won it easily her game wasn't brilliant. So next on the court came Marta Domachowska (Polish player) and Marta Marrero. It was a wonderful match!! Domachowska played great and if she continues playing like this she has a very big chance to reach the finals and even beat there Myskina. Next match: Mantilla/Portas. FANTASTIC!!!! They both played very good!! It was awsome to watch all those dropshots from Portas and then Mantilla running to them, reaching the ball and finnishing it!! Woohoo!! The atmpsphere on the court was great!! After the match organisators had a little surprise for everybody. They brought little remote controled Mercedeses and there was a small race on the court . They asked Mantilla and one of our Polish actors to compete in this race. It was pretty funny to watch ;D. And Mantilla won it ;D. Next in the schedule was the doubles match. It was a semi-final and one of the teams was Polish. But I didn't stay to see this match coz we had a looooong way to go home and it was like 11 pm so we decided to go. And that's all. Nothing exciting, but I had a great time and I'm sure I'll go to Sopot next year as well!!! |
