But you know Vass, what movie absoutely shocked me this spring? "The Return" by Andrey Zvyagintsev. He got the Grand Prix in Venice for it. You may be too young for it but I was as stunned as when watching Tarkovsky's "Ivan Rublyov" for the first time. OK, you're bored to death now......

I keep hearing about this great Russian movie "the Return" and I didn't even see it. Have no idea what it's about, so I don't know if it's shocking or my type." Ivan Rubinov"? I can't believe someone in foreign countries even watches Tarkovsky. I haven't seen this one, but I generally admire his movies. Don't understand most of them but I know that they are profound and have "something" in them that should be admired.

I don't remember when was the last time I was in a cinema... four, five months maybe. And I don't watch TV almost at all, coz there are only boring movies so I watch only the news and that's all. So I really don't remember when I saw a good movie.

I'm sure that this is a story of all of us. I watch only news and good movies that my sister brings from her friends... And I was in the cinema, just like you: 5-6 months ago.

errr well... *sigh* When I was 11 they had a stupid little basketball group that would play at halftime of the high school games. All the girls in my class (there were 7 girls) went out for it except me. At that age I was in the middle of a huge growth spurt ( I grew 8 inches/20cm in 1 year) could barely walk and chew gum at the same time so dribbling a basketball was impossible ppffff i could barely make it up and down the steps without tripping So anyway I didn't go out and boy oh boy did the s**t hit the fan! When people found out that I wasn't going out for basketball everyone seemed to think that they needed to talk to me and bring me to my senses My friends, my classmates, my teachers, the principal, my parents my grandparents, my parents friends, random people in the street ( i live in a small town so everyone knows everyone else) I even had the high school coach pull me out of class and tell me that the only way I would ever put myself through college and become a somebody was if I went out for basketball Heck I even had coaches who taught other sports telling me I needed to go out for basketball. Needless to say, I do not like being told what I should do so I never went out. They kept harassing me every year (even the 1st two years of college I got harassed) and everytime I told them to take a flying leap. My parents and close friends finally left me alone after I blew up and started screaming at them but they never apologized. The basketball coaches never gave up though, everytime there was a new coach, he'd be calling me up telling me i had to play basketball I probably had 6 or 7 differant girls basketball coaches ask me from middle school through college My whole childhood I only had one person say it's okay if you don't want to play, you don't have to play basketball Of all the people I knew only one person supported my decision, a friend of my parents. 10 years I got harassed to play and only one person ever did that for me So anyway, that is why I never played. If they had left me alone I probably would have played at some point. I actually love watching basketball but I am far too stubborn to give in to a bunch of idiots just because they keep harassing me. Sorry for the long story, this is a touchy subject with me since it caused me sooo many problems in my childhood. I'm almost shaking with rage now just remembering how everyone acted Anyway, now you know. Sorry for the long story, I'll shut up now
