i'm seriously thinking of going to the hopman cup in perth to watch marat playing for russia. but i've read some reports stating that his hopman cup appearance is doubtful even though he's already committed.
i haven't bought the tickets yet but am planning on buying 'em by the end of the month.
just wanna wat u guys think. seeing as how i'm planning on going down all the way to perth all b'cos of it. so at the same time i'll take a vacation there.
would like to know wat u would do in my place if u were me.

nanafs I tell you what. I was looking forward to a Davis Cup quarterfinal with France in July this year in Moscow for months!!! I had my tickets booked 5 months before and I had bought them with the only hope to see Marat play. Guess what??? Yup! He didn't..got injured and didn't play...BUT

as much as I couldn't believe it but I had the time if my life!!!! Tennis was great, I lost my voice cheering for my team and I had a ball!!!! So if you're a tennis fan and have an opportunity and will to go have some fun watching the game even without Marat then yes, definately go..if you're not THAT keen on the game itself and just wanna go to see the man...I wouldn't rush into things

At the risk of suffering the wrath of all, I dont feel he will even play AO. I've read nothing that looks like his knee has improved, much less fixed. I should just keep this opinion to myself, but...... In any event, I wish Marat all the best for 2006 and hope to high heaven I am wrong, wrong, wrong.

CaliforniaSuds, i hope your wrong too.. because i absolutley cannot WAIT to see him play and defend his tittle in AO.. allthough, with the knee injury having been so serious, and AO only months away, im really worried too! good luck to you safin!
Hope to see your face in melbourne on my tv screen.. haha! ( oh the depression of not having tickets for AO..lol)

CaliforniaSuds, I hope you´re wrong, although I think you might be right, as his long interview in Sports Express was not really a reason to be greatly optimistic . I´m wondering why there´s no news about his practice, hope it´s not a bad sign. But maybe Webby´s just busy

or maybe Marat as always is not giving anyone any news LOL...until someone from the management just goes to Valencia and checks how things are...forget about getting news updates..that's our Marat and we have to live with it

That´s true, Annie. You never know what will happen. One day he tells us about his whole life, the other not one word, lol. As long, as everything comes to a happy end, I don´t mind
