Just to clear up a point--Marat did not propose to Nastya Osipova and he is not getting married. Russian rag Life started that rumor in April. In May Marat himself said he had a girlfriend, sort of. A little, a little. Does that sound like a proposal? Let the poor guy alone. He will settle down when he gets good and ready. In the meantime---lets play tennis!!! |

Girls, what do you have against this girl, anyway?!
I personally find her attractive and the so called trashy image she has I presume is mandatory because of her job! This is the image of the whole band...this is machist Eastern Europe...the woman tries to make a living!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen photos of her with very little make up and she has very pretty features! I think you could actually try to feel sorry for having to stand the behaviour of the likes of Marat..I mean, really, we all know just how miserable he can behave on a bad hair day...she has to take this alone....
As for Zhukova being classy...please! That one was a "fille a papa" travelling the world with like no point in life, except spending...this one at least works something!

Silvia..I don't know, I guess they were really very young back then...
And although Safin doesn't seem to me like the "marrying type", I actually hope he is...for his own good...'cause sometimes he looks likehe would need a good wife, putting some sense into his head! However, I somehow got the impression that he was crazy over Zhukova, even if she doesn't seem to me like a nice person...more like a wann-be-artsy spoiled rich kid...
Anyway, this really isn't our business...in the end...he had the career he deserved (minus some true ill-luck, ocassionaly) and he will most probably have the wife that he deserves...like most of us, if we would be fair and not use lame excuses.

I don't understand Masha why you dislike/like so much somebody you have never met. But I believe it's an human reaction to some girl that was already special to Marat in some kind of way.
About Dasha, she seems pretty nice to me. I've read many interviews about her and she comes off as inteligent, polite and kind. I believe she deserves some respect.
ps: I said it all with good intentions. I'm not trying to put you down or start a fight! =)

Dear Suh, I like & dislike whomever I like and I'll express it wherever I want. The "cure" to such a thing could be censorship, that I would accept considering that the board does not belong to me. However, it didn't occur by know. I also see no problem with my likeings & dislikeings as long as my speech remains polite (which I think is the case above, although now it seems to me too that I was kinda harsh...I'm afraid I'm pretty rough a person) and I do not trash people based on superfluous aspects (looks, etc. ). As for the intensity of the likeing & dislikeing...well that's the way we do things in Central & Eastern Europe: passionately! Where do you think Safin got his ways? We do not really explain our reasons either (however... "I believe it's an human reaction to some girl that was already special to Marat in some kind of way"...please!). That being said, please note that I too do not intent to initiate any kind of (cat) fight with you or with anyone else and that I only choose to answer you via on-forum post, and not by PM for reasons of keeping it symmetrical with you. |

Okay you guys. Here's the bottom line. I know quite a bit about Nastya and she is not a hard-working girl trying to make a living. She comes from a family with money and her goal in life is to "be famous" and "every man's fantasy." She dresses and acts the way she does because that is her facade. She is really insecure, needy and holding on to Marat anyway she can. She wants him to marry her and said this in my presence, but tells him she "fears" marriage, so there you go. Would you call that an honest person? I know nothing about Dasha so cannot comment other than on her physical beauty. She did not give out interviews on her relationship with Marat the way Nasty does. I don't know what is in Marat's head or heart but after Silvia and Dasha he seems to be making the rounds of blond singers, actresses, etc. It's his life and I wish him well. Perhaps he can tone Nastya down and keep her from shooting off her mouth to the press. I don't care that he gave her a ticket to the Maldives for her birthday. And by the way, he did not go with her. Even though she gave him a "valentine" in the newspaper, he gave her nothing. Tell you anything??Carry on everyone. Just wanted to tell Masha she is entitled to her opinion but it seems to come from a point of no information, unless she knows Dasha and Nastya.

I'' admit that my opinions are not based on personal information...anyway, his personal life...nobody should give a **** about it...I shouldn't of entered this topic!!!
God bless him whomever he marries/bangs/leaves/etc....but I'm afraid I actually say this in a mocking way, because I couldn't care less, given his lattest demeanour as a sportsman! And please note that I'm not even a tennis fan!
I'll just go back to my first and one true love Dmitry Tursunov (WHO'S A REAL MAN AND BEHAVES LIKE ONE!) and just forget that there ever was such an obnoxious diva like Marat Safin!
