Have my fears for Bercy....doesn't look good I must say..but we'll see...I shall expect the worst and then when he decides to play - I'll be over the moon and if he decides not to play - I'll be ready for it  thats how i have felt since Wimbledon, marat to play at Montreal, pulls out. Plays at Cinci, cool and since then US Open, last minute, DC, out, Tokyo, out and so on |

I´m also more prepared for Marat not playing at Bercy. It would surprise me, if he would. He has to be 100 percent healthy, otherwise it doesn´t make any sense  |

absolutely..I think if he had to play Bercy I'll be more nervous than ever thinking something might go wrong with the knee again...I'd rather he is 100% positive..but he's a big boy now and I think he realises there's no point rushing things if he wants to return to the courts |

Safin to miss Masters Cup
Australian Open champion Marat Safin has not fully recovered from a knee injury and will miss next month's Masters Cup in Shanghai. Russian tennis chief Shamil Tarpishchev said on Saturday that Safin would rest for the remainder of the year in order to be fit for next season
"This is the best thing for him to do, not to play," Tarpishchev told Reuters.
"He must first get 100 percent healthy before stepping on the court again. The most important thing is to prepare well for the Australian Open, where he must defend his title."
The world number five has been troubled by a ligament tear in his left knee since Wimbledon which also forced him to withdraw from the U.S. Open.
He has not played since losing in the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Masters Series to American Robby Ginepri in August.
The Australian Open begins on Jan. 16.
Safin's participation in the Hopman Cup, to be played in Australia from Dec. 30 to Jan. 6., is also in doubt.
He is due to partner Svetlana Kuznetsova for Russia in the annual mixed team event.

well it's not like Shamil doesn's have a point that really annoys me..he does and I won'e be surprised he Marat really pulls out of Shanghai but what really pisses me off is the fact that Shamil speaks his own predictions and opinions and makes them sound like they are Marat's!!!!!!!!!!! Marat said in an interview in Kazan that Shamil "thinks he knows it all" but they haven't spoken for over 3 weeks and last time they spoke wasn't even about the injury!!!!!!!!!!!! I personally think Marat should have a chat with the old brat and set him straight once and for all so that Tarpi stops speaking on Marat's behalf without having Marat's permission for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've read the bit that's posted. it's a really good article!
except that he doesn't like card games or poker...
i was brought up playing cards around the table with the whole family and friends, drinking wine and listening to dad's jazz records. how can one not love cards, i wonder?! even non-gambling games???
