If you prefer believing the official reason: Ok., perfectly . But I 'm sure that the real reason is the relative thing to the WC of Ferrero. I go to the Master Madrid and know as the ambience is. Yesterday, just before the delivery of the award to Nadal, Santana suffered boos on the part of a sector of the public and I must remember that, in spite of the incident that existed between Marat and Ferrero some time ago, they have returned it is to resume his friendship and in fact, they have trained again together in Valency.
Also, the Master Madrid is more important than S. Petersburg (I feel it, this is like that) and it gives more points.
We will see if Marat also is tired or injured to go to Paris .... it seems more logical that he had resigned to S. Petersburg and to have that week to rest
Anyhow I 'm sad because I bought my tickets IN MARCH with the hope to see him playing in Madrid and now, remain with the desires......

can someone tell me why Marat and JC had a falling out in the first place? i wasnt aware of this They havent fallen out and if so none of them have said anything to rumour this. The official Reason Marat is not playing is that he is injured, Junquai didnt play because he didnt get a WC and didnt want to feed on the scraps and told the organisers to shove it so Bolleli got the WC as part of exchange with Rome AMS Anyway there was some action and results so far Singles - First Round M Fish (USA) d [Q] S Darcis (BEL) 61 64 [LL] S Bolelli (ITA) d N Almagro (ESP) 76(4) 61 G Simon (FRA) d I Andreev (RUS) 46 61 76(7) - Saved 4 M.P. M Cilic (CRO) d [Q] O Rochus (BEL) 63 75 Doubles - First Round A Clement (FRA) / M Llodra (FRA) d A Murray (GBR) / J Murray (GBR) 64 63 F Lopez (ESP) / F Verdasco (ESP) d F Gonzalez (CHI) / C Kas (GER) 64 63 C Moya (ESP) / R Nadal (ESP) d J Blake (USA) / M Fish (USA) 46 76(5) 10-5

I'm going to miss Marat. You know, official reason: injured his shoulder Best regards

internet's finally working after fussing all day ... woot! a marathon day ... complete with 2 retirements, 4 3-setters, a leaky roof to start the day, and a small, awkward delay of play when some lights went out ;D WEDNESDAY RESULTS:Tsonga d Granollers 36 63 76 Ginepri d Davydenko 46 64 64 (Wow.) Nalbandian d Berdych 62 67 61 Karlovic d Soderling 76 76(10-8) Monfils d Gonzalez 63 64 Djokovic d Hanescu 67 76 31 ret. Lopez d Ferrer 64 76 del Potro d Nieminen 62 42 ret. Wawrinka d Kohlschreiber 36 75 76 Federer d Stepanek 63 76 Roddick d Robredo 63 64 (here I thought Fed and Andy's matches would go just as long as the rest on Center today, therefore allowing me to come back from work to see Andy - but noooo - go figure.) THURSDAY OOP
Pista Central - 11 am startSimon - Ginepri NB 12:30 - Nalbandian - del Potro NB 2:00 - Wawrinka - Lopez NB 4:00 - Nadal - Gasquet NB 8:00 - Tsonga - Federer Djokovic - Karlovic Pista AlcalaNB 1:30 - Cilic - Murray NB 3:00 - Roddick - Murray (it kills me how sweet those match-ups have the potential to be ... 5am will come way too soon)

oops ... early morning are already getting to me LOL and if the first match was any indication, another marathon of a day is on it's way: Simon d Ginepri 67 64 76 (2:35) -- heartbreaker for Robby, who displayed some awesome shots - fought and worked so hard - and had a MP but Simon saved it with a 34-stroke rally! Wow. tis also gives me the feeling that the Andys won't get much air time if Center's action stays that long ... embarrassment of riches today

Hm. Somehow I'm disappointed this morning. Sooo many potentially good matches and somehow most of them fell flat. I guess it is getting close to the end of the season and some players are just tired. yeah, what I saw of the rest of the day kinda bummed me out too, but what can you do? *shrug* Murray - Monfils ended up kind of blink-and-miss-it ... match just started, I go to make breakfast, come back and Murray had won the first set already
