How did you become a Marat fan?

The first time I saw him on tv was in 2003. Can't remember what it was but he was with Myskina in a double. I didn't thought he was that good-looking at that time. (stupid me, don't know what was in my mind then) But since they were playing for Russia I really wished them victory (always liked russia ;)for some reason). Anyway, although I didn't finish watching the whole match, I was impressed (by the fact that they are russians maybe?). That's when I started to pay attention when their names (particularly Marat's) were mentioned. It was in 2005 AO that Marat won me over completely. I wasn't watching until after his semi against Federer, by that time I still didn't know how good he was. Then it was said in the news that he beat Federer, and that's what made me watch the final and become totally obsessed with him.

lol. i downloaded the video of the ceremony of US Open 2000 today. i couldn't breath while watching it! it's...it's just beyond my imagination...really speechless...a lot of things came into my mind and i felt like being hypnotized...

i dont know if i should say this or if in the right forum but is anyone a member of the offical marat safin site? if so how did they come accros becoming one? were there any attachments involoved? if anyone can answer these questions it would be greatly appricated,

Hi Nikki I wouls gladly answer your question. I am a member there as many of us are. You dont' have to do anything and there are no obligations. Where is says on the official site REGISTER, you just fill out the form and become a member. It gives you an opportunity to post messages on the forum and participate in all sorts of lotteries and draws, like tickets to tournament, etc.

In fact, 2 days ago being a registered fan and not doing anything whatsoever I won a signed by Marat Head tennis racquet, which will be given to be by Marat himself at the Davis Cup in July in Moscow ;D ;D ;D

WOW ur a very very very lucky girl, do u have to make ur own way to the davis cup? do u get a private one on one with him? or are the other winners gonna be there to? u should give him something becuase he loves recieving things off fans, well i hope u have a lot of fun meeting him

LOL Nikki I have no idea how this is gonna happen yet because the details will come later but the suggestion to meet him came from the official site because i had spoken there about the fact that I have bought Davis Cup tickets, so they decided it would be a good oppportunity to present me with the racquet there. As for other winners I don't think they'll be there since most of them are really far away

Last year... Australian Open. I didn't know a lot about Marat but knew of him and his temper. I was watching the Roddick QF game... mainly for Roddick because I thought he was a cutie. To my surprise, Marat was even HOTTER! And that infamous temper did not throw me off... the angrier the sexier, I say! He plays beautifully and he is possibly the most handsome man I have ever laid my eyes on... and trust me, I have been all over the world, and so far, I am yet to meet or see a guy as beautiful as Marat.

Since then, I have been aboslutely hooked on him!
