The draw could have a been a lot worse... Good luck Maratik!
p.s. on a curious note, I just saw that my countryman Frederico Gil is going to play against Jeremy Chardy AGAIN, for the 3rd consecutive row in a Grand Slam this year. They played eachother at RG, Wimby and now will meet again at the USO. What would be the odds of that happening?!!! ;D

Good draw for my Big Pixie - I'm half-tempted to jump on a plane to NY and spread my fairy dust on him. ;D I'd willingly black up the eyes again if it gets him off the court again in straight sets. Front row stalking rights beckon. ;D I take it the boy is in NY? It's gone awfully quiet on the news front of what he's up to. Surely he can't be catching that many fish? Stick a couple in the post for me Big Yin! PS Anybody know how to get rid of a twitchy cheek? My right cheek has been twitching on and off for 5 days ... it's driving me nuts. I sat in a 2 hour meeting today and I swear the chair thought I was winking at him. Probably the lack of tennis causing it. Another PS Anybody get their Russian meltdown T-shirt yet? (Sorry Davis). Haven't got mine.

Does anyone know whether the USO is going to be shown on terrestrial TV in the UK? (Or even on any broadcasting network?) Or will we have to rely on live-streaming again? no the BBC never show the US open, its either Sky or Eurosport for uk fans, hopefully we can get a live feed.

Marat, please beat that pain-in-the-you-know-what, for the love of all that is good ... still weird (but cool) to see Rafa at the top of the draw ;D other 1st round Andy v Santoro Clement v Novak Schwank v Dima Almagro v Dancevic Haas v RIchie Berdych v Querrey Blake v Young Del Potro v Canas August has been such a head-spinning, whirlwind of a month already ... and I don't see any let up until after the DC semis ... Bring on Monday!

LMAO ;D .... don't get me wrong, it'd be sweet for them both to do battle somewhere they haven't, but it's not as sure of thing as grass or clay ... we'll see *shrug*

Is anyone going to US Open besides me? I'd like to have some company there..! Ahh, I've been going nuts getting ready for this, and I have just now found time to sit down and catch up on posts. Yes, I am going, but only for the first three days. Last year was the first time I went (only opening day.) I had met up with someone there who had been going to the Open for ages. This year I'm flying solo. It would be fun to have someone to pal around with. I spent most of the opening day last year (after stumbling upon, watching the guys on the practice courts...courts which everyone seemed to forget or not know about. That is where I saw Marat pull his pants down, and I'm looking at the people around me, and no one else seemed to notice this. Silly me had a (borrowed,) camera in hand but didn't take photos. I have never been much of a photo person. After standing next to Marat, and so many of my favorites, I vowed to come back prepared this year. I don't feel prepared yet. HELP!! This year, in honor of going back, I bought a brand new camera for myself, and at this moment, am still trying to learn how to take decent pictures. Anyone who has been to any of the other major torney's have any advice at all...advice as to how I can get the most "fun" out of my three days? I wish I could pack all of you, and take you with.
