he lost 4-6, 4-6, 5-7
not a good match at all... Unable to hold his break up in the first and second set, and then unable to hold his serve and his nerves in the rest of the match... Now it's time to make a big point on your situation Marat because playing Tipsarevic in a second round of a slam was a big opportunity to get further... It's not possible to play perfect and in confidence on sunday and to be unable to settle a game two days later even if his opponent was way better... He has let Janko dictating the game and was absolutely not in a good day... Okay it was rainy and cold but that's not a reason...

Okay it was rainy and cold but that's not a reason... yeap, plus, it was rainy and cold for both players so weather is hardly an excuse for any tennis match defeat ;D ;D There are no more excuses for Marat, it's hard time for him to decide what he really wants to do and how he has the better chances to succeed... He can't go on like that until the end of the season... Davis Cup was the only good match... For the rest, he's making no improvement at all since january... He's motivated, you can read it on his face but he's completely out of his game and can't find the way to it... |

my heart is broken .........
wasn't able to watch the first round, finally found a way to watch it live online.......
Why he seemed so unfocused and kept shaking his head as if he had no confidence or patience whatsoever......
Marat, I only hoped that u could've hung in there and advanced to the 3rd round....Didn't think too much about trophy....just to find his form in a major and do better and better......
He still looks so hot, but, Marat, I want to watch you play at least 3 more years !!
Pleaz do something for yourself and us fans

There's gonna be lots of interesting opinions in this thread in the next couple of days and i can understand - being Marat's fans is not the easiest job in the world. i'd like to say with experience this gets a bit easier but in all honesty im swearing as loud as i can!
He did'nt do enough to win and fair play to Tipsarevic he made the right plays, changed the pace of the game and made marat do it all.
He had chances in all the sets but his mentality thwarted his progress - his serving was poor - forehand was erratic and another year gone at RG . Oh well at least he gained some points!
Here comes the grass season at Queens!
In all honesty the last time i saw Marat play at his best was on grass in his first round and 1st 2 sets against Gonzo - maybe it will be this year!

I`m very dissapointed with him  We are waiting to do something from AO It`s time to show us that he can beat in more than 1 or 2 matches!!! |

Ok, had to calm down a bit before posting, First of all, i didn't se the whole match, because stupid channel was showing Sharapova.., i had to put up with a long second set, and finally here's Marat. And to my great disappointment and surprise, he's down 2 sets to 0 !!  I tried everything possible, i prayed, i did my lucky dance, i even tried cheering for the other guy.. but i ended up crying my heart out !!  Why is it that every lousy player on the tour beats him?!!! And when they see Marat, it's like they're playing for their lives... I don't understand it anymore.. |
