Ok well I'm sad that Haas lost but happy cause hes comeing here next week to defend his title....second I'm sorry but that andy-fed match was a drag...I mean seriously at one point the commentators in espn (who are lame) compare roger with a symphony and that all of us were listening, some crazy s*** that I didn't really get, to end with something like this " you know audience talk amongs yourself there is nothig to say here" ...u know espn we notice! I'm sorry for roddick but that was some humiliating match....I was wondering then, if Marat would have been in that semi, how would things would have looked...?

As I have said before and I would say it again... Andy has nothing to be ashamed of, and this match was not humiliating. There is Roger on a good day and there is the rest of the tennis world..this is how huge the gap is. Yesterday it was one of Roger's finest performances and symphony and ballet are not the only metaphors I could come up with. It was magical, fireworks.
I know a lot of people cannot stand Roger and say that they are getting bored of him winning all the time. But hey, it's not like he is not in the same conditions as everyone else and it is not his fault he has such amazing talent in the game.
To answer your question about Marat being out there instead of Andy yesterday - the outcome would have been the same. I am more than certain about it.

Rogers match agains Andy was sooooooo wonderful to see, don't think it would be different if Rog had a different opponent, it was deffinitely his day! I really hope Fernando playes his best tennis in the final too, maybe we have again a amazing match with the two best players from this tournament! It would be great if Fernando wins his 1st GS, but ,for me, it also would be a deserved victory for Roger, he really played a good tournament with sometimes amazing tennis!

What's wrong with these Ao semifinals & finals? Beautiful performance by Serena ! Sharapova rose a tiny little bit in my eyes after that speech, although might be that she just wanted to make sure Serena wouldn't do something bad to her after that smatch in the body . Serena Williams def. Maria Sharapova : 6-1,6-2.

To answer your question about Marat being out there instead of Andy yesterday - the outcome would have been the same. I am more than certain about it. Just to throw my two cents in ....I agree with Giselle about the effusive praise that goes Roger's way. I'm not saying I don't think he deserves to be complimented but I do think that comparing him to ballets and symphonies is just exaggerating, not necessarily in its intention but just the connotation that comes off of it...it's like trying to walk through molasses...thick and sweet to the point where you can't breathe. That is just my opinion. When you get right down to it, I think I dislike Roger not so much becasue of the man himself, but becasue I get so fed up (no pun intended) of hearing people wax lyrical about him....*shrug* Having said that, there is no question that he played an extraordinary match against Andy. And yes, no matter who else was out there the result would have probably been the same. The second set was just one of those moment's in an athletes career where everything you touch turns to gold. I mean as fantastic a player as Roger is, I don't think its just down to his talent...there is a connation to the french word "reussite" which is not just about success but just a bit of luck in it too. Roger was making shots in that second set that even he on a good day some other time might not be able to reproduce at will. As for what it had been Marat.... Andy and Marat are different players and pose Roger different problems. Whether or not that would have mattered....I guess we'll never know will we? *heads back to Lollipop Lane to make a long distance call to the Candyman*
