OMG what a match, what a thriller !!! He was 2-0 then 3-1 in the third with each time the serve for him but was unable to hold and I was so close to be sure he was going to lose but he kept fighting and finally won 6-3!!!!! And that look and sign he gave at Volkov at the end, fantastic !!! Like "you see i did it ! You see i'm back" Congrats boy for finally having hold your nerves !!! Some weeks ago he will have lost that one for sure but today he hold his head stuck to his shoulders, refusing to lose ! In the first 2 sets he was serving amazing, playing solid even if he was too far from the baseline in my opinion... Second set was the same but he missed by bad luck and wrong choices the start of the TB and lost it... I was so afraid he'd be too tired to fight in the third but he did it ! Well, here i have to be honest and thank Acasuso for having progressively stop serving like Sampras Phew.... What a relief, but i don't know in what shape Marat will be tomorrow for his match ! Anyway big fight, big heart and strong head : that's the Marat i love ;D

Does anyone have any idea who Marat spoke to at the end of the match? After tossing the used towels at the crowd, he went up to a group of people, one of which is a man in a business suit, and shook his hand. I'm assuming this was the same group he pointed to after he won match point and fist pumped.
That aside, congratulations on the win! I was driving home during the second set and when I got here, I was surprised to see it was still going on (and also surprised to see that The Tennis Channel is working, because more often than not, it's messed up) and I was able to cheer him on and watch him win. Congratulations to Marat and lots of luck against Marcos tomorrow!

For those that can't watch the matches of this Masters, you can download TVUPlayer and select CCTV5 . That's how I could see the last points won by Marat

;D ;D ;D Well it wasn't easy but he did it. Played incredibly well at times. Served amazing in the first set. I'm just happy he won it. And what to say of his reaction. I have never seen Marat react that way to winning a match, not even after winning Aussie Open. It was absolutely adorable. Well done Marat

Maybe his manager ?

Maybe his manager ? Isn't his manager one of the tournament directors? would make sense if it was.

I have no idea if that was his manager or not since I don't know what he looks like. It was a small group of people with one guy in a suit, a lady, and I think another guy. I was just curious as to who they were, but it's not a big deal.
