Is this a new mature Marat Safin I see before me? Well done big yin in getting to the quarters. ;D It was disappointing that the match had a few dodgy calls at such a crucial point. Good to see that he still stayed calm. I was expecting an explosion. Don't think Nalby has done much for his credibility this week. I really don't like unsportsmanlike behaviour. He could've called the shots there in the third set. Shame on you Nalby. Approaching top 30 ranking in such a short space of time is great and no doubt a bonus as the AO looms. Put yer feet up and recharge your batteries big yin. The game - and the heid - are coming together at last. PS Hope he takes this approach at Wimbles next year. I want to see him lift that trophy. Stop moaning and mumping about grass. The game's perfect for it. Marat v Maestro. What a final that would be.

But Maryb, what I really want to know is why you call Marat, "big yin". Mabye I am missing something totally obvious but I'm curious. If you don't mind explaining that is. ;D

Hiya bia2209. It's a Scottish thing. Yin is Scots dialect for 'one'. If you have a guy that's particularly tall, they usually get referred to as 'the big yin'. Marat's about a foot taller than me, so I'd get called the 'wee yin'. PS 'Heid' is Scots dialect for head.

Maestro, what can I say? That was a pretty ruthless display out there with Gonzo.
