OK, statistics says Marat has ONE double fault in the 3rd set. He made it in the Tiebreak at 2-0!

Wow what a dive. Looks like he put his heart into this game as always. Disappointing result, but he's been playing fantastic and I'm looking forward to see if he can keep the momentum and carry it into next year at AO.
On the 6-5 game. Now I didn't see the match or anything, but I"m sure if the point was messed up Marat would have said something. Like one time in another match the umpire accidentally announced the wrong point and marat was like Woah wait a minute! and had a 2 minute discussion with the guy until he finally said "Ok I got it wrong!"
Like I said I didn't see the match or anything so I dunno exactly what happened but those are just my thoughts.

Re doing the last game like that is not gonna change the result..... Marat lost. It's already great that he managed to take the second set cause it was really close to be 2 sets for Nalby and none for Marat. Now he can take a little rest before Lyon. He also needs to keep some strenght for the last tournaments. We are waiting for you on France Marat.

Okay posted by Riff on MTF : "just watched it, there was mistake in the result on tv it was 15-0 15-15 UE 30-15 ace 30-30 DF 30-40 ace 2nd serve thats why he pumps his fist, and then comes the bad call FH marat is called out to become 40-40 hawkeye shows the ball is smack on the baseline marat can not protest then the BH is reversed by hawkeye 40-A and then DN breaks Marat was plain robbed there sad sad"
Okay so that was what i thought, no error in the counting points, but passing shot was probably in... Well, it's done now so...

OKay, to close the devate, here is what a person who has taped it saw, there's an error on a call it seems but im' lost and decide to give up , he lost so stop the torture "I was taping the game for my brother and I have just rewatched that game... This is what happened at 6-5 in the 3rd set: Marat served, attacked, to the net, long lob from David: 15-0 Lost ball Marat, 15-15 Ace Marat 30-15 Till here, all normal... David had 1 challenge left ... Marat, none (burned last few moments before) Marat served a deep, close 2nd serve, Davis missed the return and challenged the serve (which he is allowed, so in this Grilloti was right). The serve was indeed quite long (horrible no call), so 30-30. But TV scoreboard is stuck at 30-15. Marat misses 1st serve, hits an open Ace with his 2nd, 40-30, but TV scoreboard still frozen... So Marat had a MP, that won't stay on record. Marat serves there is a rally, and Marat hits a ball right on the line, linesman calls it out (horrible call), Marat couldn't challenge, so the call stays and is 40-40 (it wasn't GSM, the point should have been played again at 40-30) At that moment, I can't hear Grilloti's score but TV shows 30-30 instead of 40-40. There is a rally, David comes to the net, Marat plays BH DTL passing that looked out, but very close... no call at first ... David shouts, and either Grilloti (it was on his side) or the linewoman rectify and call the ball out ... TV shows it was indeed out .. and Grilloti says 30-40 so he makes the wrong score official ... David wins the next point, breaks, and the rest is history... Grilloti shouldn't umpire anymore, he is lazy, and often wrong ... and linesmen are making horrible mistakes..."

I remember Marat mentioned before (sorry if i was wrong) that when the match is done, he forgets it and looks forward. That's the spirit. I feel terrible cuz I was so excited that Marat broke Nalby and was serving for the match at 6-5. Somehow, my internet connection was bad and i got so confused by the scoreboard too. No matter what had happened, Marat should look forward to Lyon tourny and big Paris TMS. If we are so sad, I am sure he must be even more frustrated.
He is coming back and the ranking is climbing up which has been his main goal. Best of luck to Marat and I will support you as always as long as you are playing!!!!!!

I hope he'll take it like this, that's the better way... But losing after being so close is painful, any hard you try to be optimistic, it's painful... Now Lyon and Bercy Marat , so kep going !

I dont think that we should disappointed about this match at all, he played with a great spirit and was very close to win it after what seemed to be a one sided game until Marat broke naldy when serving for the match :oHe doesnt get to go to the SF which is disappointing but he shall leap in the standings and right into the top 30, and with marat's recent showing he shall be a firm favorite to make it big at lyon and clinch his first title of the season.

Grilloti called 30-15 when it should be 30-30. It was exactly what is written above. What the brazilian commentator said is that it was bad for Marat because players act different when they're playing at 30-30 or 40-30 (MP). But it probabily wouldn't change the result Well...enough talking about this...now it's Lyon.
