Youzhny vs. Cermak back to back?! Wow, that's very interesting. They played on the same court too!
I hate to think if Marat goes far in doubles that he'll be put on back-to-back as well.

What is it with Dmitry, always takes the hard route and wins in 3 sets, never wants to rap it up in 2? Don't get me wrong, not complaining, 3 sets gets me more perving time!! Same could be said for Marat, but along with 3 sets of perving, comes, anxiety, stress, depression, elation, amazement....................

I simply don't understand . He outscored Gael in almost every category. He had relatively easy service games, while Gael couldn't get a first serve in. And Gael still beat him.......in straight sets. WTF? I just hate Marat's extreme inconsistency But none the less, he's still my favorite, win or lose or lose some more

Ended... He fought until the end with amazing rallies and points but again on the important points he missed... And Gael found great serves to close it out... On the BP, Marat is like 0 on 7, it's not possible to miss all those opportunities week after week... I'm reall sad this time because i've watched Marat Safin playing but it was not my Marat Safin out there... Only sometimes, maybe on two or three games per set he was the creative, powerful and genius one (OMG that unbelievable volley at the start of the second set and that cross court FH in the third or that amazing passing shot!) but the rest of the time there was nothing, just a player fighting to put the ball in... Before,i was thinking that he was needing just a good match to find his game back but after seeing him since the start of the hardcourt season, it's clear that he's missing too a decent physical condition (he's lacking of strength on the legs and i feel like he lost muscles in the upper body and he seems fastly tired and a bit "heavy" out there like running more slowly and not too good...), and don't tell me about that forehand : come one boy now back in training that shot because it's like that since months now ! Finally it's an euphemism to tell that when there is a tactical choice to make he's making the worst ... Well i'm kind of desperate after that loss...
And i feel like he was not really in shape : seems tired, was coughing a bit, has really to push him to go forward and to take the ball sooner... Well basically this time i don't find someting to be positive on except that he was fighting hard to stay alive in that match and i guess that it's already someting...

yeah... if he keeps trying, that's good. i mean, week after week he gets 1st round slaps, then SF false hopes week before last, well if he still tries after that, there's definitely still hope... he might even try and play without the confidence, lol (next step wil be without luck )

UDACHI!
"Just give yourself the opportunity, give yourself the chance. You have to be happy with what you have achieved and don't take any notice if somebody tells you that you should have achieved much more. You have achieved what you have achieved. Nobody can take that away and you have a clear conscience." Marat
