WHY? ?? Marat wins the first set, he has bazillions of break points in the second and then he completely falls apart in the third? One of these moments where I wanna give up on being a tennis fan - it's just too masochistic. Wanna know what's going on inside of him now - on second thought, maybe not... I need ice cream, lots of it!

WHY? ?? Marat wins the first set, he has bazillions of break points in the second and then he completely falls apart in the third? That's Marat for ya. Seems he was in control for the majority of the 2 sets but then it just fell aparat. To be fair Olli Rochus is a respectable player, if he was bigger i'd expect him to be in the top 5! Although i was hoping he would let Marat win but not going to happen. He still in the doubles so can get some more time on the grass, Win or Lose it should help him. Oh well you win some and lose some, the season is still young for Marat and good things come to whose who wait. Wishing Marat all the best and hopefully he will get a good lead up to Wimbledon and who knows in a best of 5 sets, luck may be on his side but knowing how Marat is feeling he'll get another rotten draw Marat look forward to Wimbledon and prove all your critics wrong! Right now i'm really upset and just fed up to see him giving up like that! What was exactly that third set ?? Tennis?? I can't believe how many opportunities he wasted during the second set, i just can't believe it... Each time it's the same story, each time... Okay for him to struggle but it must be by improving from match to match, but for weeks and weeks he's playing the same inconsistant way... He's briliant for some moments and after there's nobody anymore on the court... Just a point in the second set to resume : it's the last game, he comes to the net and there's all the court for him but he picks the only place where Rochus is... Rochus is a nice guy and returns an easy ball to volley and Marat just put it out for almost one meter... I mean how is it just possible ? And it's obvious that he's thinking about every shot he's making and that's the problem : he's thinking too much and each time he didn't make the good choice... That's clear confidence crisis for sure but now it has just to stop : take point by point and when it's crucial point just stop thinking to i don't know what and play! I stil can not believe all the stupid mistakes he made... Sorry i know i'm hard on him at the moment but it's stronger than me... Tomorrow maybe it's going to be better... But i'm just fed up to see no progress and that week after week we are noticing the same things and that he's playing the same way... 6/1 in the third i can't believe it... He was playing solid for a set and a half and then the wish to win and to fight has gone far away...

you know, either he changes the order of his moods, losing the SECOND 61 and winng the match in three sets, or he'd better revise the concept of 3setters (you gotta win TWO sets, marat, so you MUSTN't lose tw sets ) i mean, i'm rather gutted, rght now... and sad. i hope his confidence's not too shattered, and alegro and him will go far in the doubles... (maybe he should drop that "confidence" thing, too... )

Agree with you, i can't stand anymore to hear him talk about that confidence : "i need my confidence back, it's hard when you have no confidence, i need to win that match for the confidence"! Come on just stop that Calimero speech : for those who don't know that cartoon, it's about a little kind of bird which is always saying things like "life is too unfair, i need help, i'm not going to succeed..." He's really cute and everybody loves him but he's always pitying himself... Okay confidence is important but how is he going to get it? Just by praying and crossing the fingers??? No, confidence comes with results and results are coming with work. So Marat now : at work, very fast and very hard, no other choice "my friend" I love that guy but now i really feel like he needs someone to kick his ass just one strong time : so Peter do your job (or maybe Chesnokov can try a come back : i'm kidding of course...)
