Big thanks to everyone for great photos and all the match reports.

Poor Marat I don't think there is much more Marat could have dreaded than going out in the first round of the French Open

But the reality is that this is not a good situation no matter how you look at it. The reality is that Marat's ranking will plumet further, and unless he wins one of the next grand slams this year he won't be at the year end, and he won't even be in top 50's. Depressing not only for us fans but for Marat too.

Marat hates grass, so what can we expect? Can he even find the motivation to want to play Wimbledon, must be depressing for Marat even to contemplate, but God I hope he can.

and then the USO - can Marat win this again, I think the answser is yes, but does Marat believe that he can. What concerns me is that Marat has always favoured 5 setter's, he has always felt he had chances with the 5 setters where as with the 3 setters he was choking, and when he took the 2nd set 6-1 I though oh my god he is back, he is back, this is what Marat does. But Marat is having a problem going the 5 sets, the rollercoaster matches are not working anymore, keeping the momentum going, and its not just the knee, its the fitness, the age, the lack of matches, lack of confidence, these things are all against him, and my heart just breaks for him because there is no more instant gratification for Marat.

Marat has always said he wants to play until he is 30, well my god that's like 2 more years, its scary!!

Peter - I hope and pray that they can continue to work together and Peter will be able to help Marat get past this, because we all know Marat can do this, he has the ability to be number one again, to win matches, grand slams, but Marat has to believe in himself.

You know people say to me Teresa why do you stress yourself, Marat is not the only one having issues, look at JCF, Hewitt, Roddick, Coria, Moya, they are having issues and struggling but they are hanging in there, but I do stress because Marat is not any of those guys, Marat is different, he always has been, and always will be different, and I dont think Marat is someone who can just 'hang in there' it will drive him crazy, he just simply cannot exist long term 'hanging in there' outside the top 10.

And then there are you guys, TGFR community, you rock you really do! Its wonderful to come by and feel the love and support you all have for Marat, and if he ever doubted the loyalty support and love of his fans he just needs to stop by TGFR and he will never have those doubts again.

I hope you will forgive me for saying this, and as much as I love that magnificant body Marat has, those pictures of him in his underwear degrade and humiliate him. They make me feel sorry for him and ashamed of being occasionally fanatical about him. Is it just me? Am I a prudish party pooper. Even though it's so cool that he's funloving like when he did that for the Chasing Federer video, I feel we could be more dignified as fans. Ah hell, I looked at the pictures of him and whatshername at the beach over and over so I guess I'm a hypocrite. Does anyone know what I mean?
