Just some quotes from Dina bout Marat "He told me to get in better shape." Dinara Safina explains what advice big brother Marat has handed on to her
Safina will continue on in Paris without the shadow cast by her big brother. Marat Safin was ousted Tuesday by 9th-seeded Fernando Gonzalez. The 20-year-old admits it was not easy following in Marat's footsteps.
"The beginning it was really tough for me, you know. It was always like 'sister of Marat'," Safina said. "I was sometimes trying for do too much. But then I relax. I am what I am. I am Dinara."

There's a nice article in the french newspaper called L'Equipe today about Marat's match of yesterday. The journalist said that right now Marat has too many physical troubles to win against that kind of player and also that he's kind of depressed by all of that. But it said too that he's one of the greatest talent so he always can come back but nobody knows when... And at the end, the journalist is talking about Marat who was really moved to tears at the end... So it was not our imagination... But this article really makes me hope because it's a full page about roddick, hewitt and safin so it proves that the tennis world always counts on Marat !!!!!!

First off all I have to say thanks for great pic and reports from Carole and Bia-Mulan lady. What you wrote is great and thanks you once again. I was watching match on TV but reading what you wrote is as if I was there LIVE. Yesterday, first half off day I was so happy and excided knowing that I will watch HIM and second part of off the day –so sad.Dident know what to say and I m still sad but I wonted to say how much I love being here, on TGFR, because reading what you all people wrote made me realize how great people are here and I hope that Marat will find out. I really find here comfort after yesterday match and I needed to say that.
PS 1 Marat will always be my N.1 forever in good and in bad times! Go Marat!!!!!!
PS 2 Who knows what tomorrow mite bring!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm sitting in a hotel lobby in Florida right now since my laptop crashed two days into my holidays and I'm lucky that this place has free e-mail service. I don't have time to read what's already been said but I wanted to give some thoughts on Marat's match that I was able to follow on ESPN2 yesterday. Well, Marat lost, but I was amazed by his appearance. No comparison to Hamburg! He looked fitter, more alert, more energetic. There was a spark in his eyes that I had missed for a long time. Also - at least during some parts of the match - he played magnificent tennis. Sadly, as often, Marat seemed to beat himself in the end, producing way to many errors. Still, the improvement was there. I hope he'll see it the same way when reflecting the match. I'm looking forward to the grass and clay court season. Wish you all a good rest of Roland Garros and talk to you when I'm back in good old Germany.
