Ok, I'm telling you this, it's not 100% sure, but I have to share it. As I saw Marat playing with this plastic blasters on his knee, I become extremely worried. There was no info on the subject, Marat didn't show at the presconference. So, I decided to write an e-mail to Bulgarian team, who comment the tournament, with the hope that as a media, they have to know something more about the conditions of the players. I received an answer, telling me that before the match Marat felt very strong pain in his knee, so they gave him some injections. I hope it's nothing serious.

Well Kuniochi, he was limping during the match but I can imagine it was probably because of the cold weather. On the band-aids: He has a bloody knee during his training session, so I suppose he just covered up some clay court-induced injury. I'm sure Marat and/or his management would inform us (i.e. the public) if something out of the ordinary was going on. Keep the hopes up.

blue, we must have met without knowing it maybe next year we'll time it better... Yeah, we have to do that kuniochi: Hope it´s not true. But But I didn´t see him in his practice session in pain with the knee, and if Davis saw, he had a bloody knee, seems quite logical to me, I thought so, because it wasn´t a real tape, and it can happen on clay.

On the other hand, Kuniochi, why should they tell you this, if they didn´t have a serious source

Hey, I didn't want to scare you people! Yes, they have a serious source for sure. But maybe it's normal to feel some amount of pain, I think he said it himself in one of his interview. Especially on clay, where he has to overstrain his knee. Davis is right, we have to keep the hopes up!

The knee is fine. There should be a message updating us on the situation on the official site later on today or tomorrow

Okay, my last day of Hamburg 2006 is over. Since I don't want to bore you with a lot more non-Marat tennis gossip, I'll keep it short: I cried about Juan losing, was amazed by Mario winning, cheered for Jose who is definitely on a run and didn't have time to wait for Kolya - I have to pack my bags for my flight to the US tomorrow morning. Three weeks of good weather, a nice convertible and (unfortunately ) a few relatives every once in a while. I won't post but I'll try to check in to get all the goodies about Paris. Marat better makes it to the semifinals at least, I won't be able to watch before that! Please cheer him on for me ;D ;D ;D P.S.: Have you ever noticed that Mario Ancic is something of a baby-Marat? A few years younger and about 20 kg lighter but apart from that: Curly hair, 6'4'', powerful strokes... Of course the original can never be beaten
