Aint expecting miracles since marat has been knocked out in the 2nd round 5 times out of 7 i think in Rome but if he can play well like in Valencia he could breeze through to the QF, since Coria has been below par so far.
Mind you we musn't forget about the qualifier for all we now it could be that prat Almagro

first of all welcome lavia!! second of all, when it comes to marat you just gotta keep faith, there is a saying that if you believe in something strong enough then your belief helps to make it reality. So...I believe that Marat will do well in Rome and so should all of you...and lastly is it just me or does anyone else think is massive that moya and nadal should meet up in the first round? i mean nadal has massive points to defend and i doubt moya is going to roll over and play dead even if nadal is his protege....

Welcome to TGFR Lavia !!!

I don't think Moya is going to play dead, but he doesn't play as well as he used to, so I don't think he'll be able to beat Nadal. This match is for sure the showdown of this first round.

I'm happy Marat got a qualifier (even if it is Almagro... He'll be able to revenge, then !!!), but then the draw isn't the easiest in the world. But it's normal, for a TMS !
I keep faith in Marat, I'll always keep faith, but I try not to expect anything, to avoid cursing him . So I will just support him as much as I can, and see !!

i agree with you madou that moya does not play as well as he used to and if he hadn't beat nadal in the first round of miami just the other day i'd be given him no chance. i still think nadal will win but it ain't gonna be easy...i mean moya is one of the few out there that nadal knows can take him on clay...

Yes, it will be an interesting match. If Moya plays outstanding, I think he can beat Nadal, he proved it in Miami (I didn't see the match but I supposed he played so). But Nadal is so strong on clay that I doubt Moya will be able to settle his game.
I still can't believe the draws of a TMS: big names everywhere !!! And on clay there are so many guys who are dangerous... Must be really interesting to watch

Well...about Doubles draw, Marat & Dima really neads some ''practise'' against Bryan brothers (for DC semis ;D) so they have to win their 1st round...and about the first single round...at least the Q isn't our ''best friend'' Almagro, then it shoudn't be a problem for our guy. But with Marat you'll never know...let's hope everything will be O.K. Thanx everyone for your warm welcome
