That's new thingy it kind of looks like jade, but not sure. lau, a black rock LMAO girl ;D Well replay is over and after watching the entire match, now i'm a little sad he really did try his best. Ah well, like Teresa not really interested in watching anymore. I did not know he has never come back from being down 2 sets in his career. Well good news is DC and no surgery so I'm happy about that. Thanks for the photos lau and Andrada you guys did great again

Today after his loss i first had an additional regret because i had subscribed to wimbledon + right after his win over philippoussis . So i was like : what am i gonna do with it now? The good thing is i saw his interview, and i can tell you it saved my day . Not only was it full of good news ( the DC , no surgery ;D, he found his game , rest ), but also, marat was just gorgeous ! Too bad i can't take any screen pictures (it doesn't work on my PC i don't know why ), but just trust me. And when he said that the French would have to deal with him, you should have seen his smile: the best ever ;D. Too bad he lost, but he lost to a player who was great today. He had to play his best tennis to beat him, and he just couldn't do it today . But as he said, he didn't play THAT bad, it's mostly because he had played AMAZINGLY two matches in a row that it seemed 'poor' (excuse me i couldn't find the appropriate words ). Anyway, we won't miss him that long, so yoohooo!!! ;D

He did play well just had some problems finding his rhythm or something. They removed one lady line judge in the first set for bad calls, I saw a few bad calls after that. Teresa, I had a jade necklace and forget what it was supposed to do, I think you are right it was for calming or tranquility, didn't work for me either.

Interview with Marat from the Wimbledon site M. Safin - Day 5 Friday, June 24, 2005 Q. How much were you bothered by your knee today? MARAT SAFIN: Well, today was a little bit actually ‑‑ was a little bit painful. I had to put some ice before the match. But it's not because ‑‑ of course, it's not because of the knee I lost. I'm not finding any excuse. Just now I have enough time to take care of my knee and get ready. Yes! This is my man, don't make an excuse from his injury. Like Martina Hingis said even she sick, pain or anything, once she got on court, she must take responsibility on her own.

NOW the rain comes and stops play, we could have used that earlier. Karen, I did think like that between the second set of Marat's match. Too bad it didn't rain.

okay...i'm totally late...but i'm really happy about the news Marat shared during his interview...it is what i was thinking after he lost so not to make me too sad...that he'll be able to take care of the knee much sooner...great that he doesn't have to get the operation...and YEY for the DC!!!

Just wanted to share my love for this forum (even if it may not be the appropriate thread though) as i've been looking out other forums and saw some quite surprising stuff. I just CAN'T STAND it when i hear marat's fan making excuses for him even after he says in his interview he doesn't have any. I like the way he is, admitting his mistakes but also his bad game or not enough or whatever. It wasn't about the knee or the underestimation of lopez. So let's move on. This happen he is a human being an d at least he accepts it, unlike some other players!

I completely agree with you, Shacks; but what I can't stand the most is when "fans" say that they won't support Marat any longer after a loss: Marat is a human being, he cannot always play his best and doesn't cry when he loses or anything, he just tells what happened and stays quiet (I definitely LOVE his interviews!! ). And for those who say that he underestimated Lopez: would he underestimate someone who has beaten him twice in the past and who is a lefty ?? This is just stupid.

The same url is used for different photos during the whole day (and I think that during the whole tounament)." And Teresa, thanks for Ur support I really appreciate it.

Interview with Marat from the Wimbledon site Q. You said you will need some treatment for your knee. Does it mean maybe you could skip the Davis Cup?
MARAT SAFIN: No, no. No chance. I will be there. I know the French people, they are hoping for the best. But there is no chance. You have to deal with me (smiling).
GREAT NEWS, Annie!!!!! So U will get to see Marat!!! Congratulations!!!!! And as Teresa, I am extremely happy for U!
