Wooow, take a look at this: seems like things were getting out of control after the Hewitt-Coria match: Hewitt & Coria trade verbal blows Latest results Australia's Lleyton Hewitt saw off Guillermo Coria of Argentina in a bad-tempered Davis Cup World Group quarter-final rubber in Sydney. Hewitt put Australia 1-0 up with a 7-6 (7-5) 6-1 1-6 6-2 victory before the accusations flew after the match.
"He cannot behave the way he does, abusing the captain, abusing players, abusing everyone," said Coria. "I won't repeat what I heard out there."
Hewitt responded: "I didn't say one thing to him for the whole match."
David Nalbandian led Wayne Arthurs 6-3 7-6 (10-8) 5-7 in the second rubber when rain stopped play for the day.
Hewitt and Coria traded insults after their 173-minute battle, with Coria revisiting stories concerning Hewitt that first surfaced during the Australian Open with on-court incidents with Argentinians Juan Ignacio Chela and Nalbandian.
"As a person outside the game it's one thing, but on the court I really felt like killing him," said Coria.
"Rafael Nadal jumps and does a lot of gestures on the court, but he doesn't celebrate your own mistakes, whereas Lleyton cheers for other peoples' mistakes and he's very aggressive.
"It's very difficult not to feel provoked and not to get into his game, but as a person I would rather not win a single tournament in my life than be like him."
A dumbfounded Hewitt said: "If the worst thing I do is say 'come on' out on the court, I don't think it's that bad compared to the guy spitting in the referee's direction when he wasn't happy with the call.
"He wasn't happy with the court surface, and he tried hip-and-shouldering (bumping) me at the end of the first set and he complained the whole day. I'm not quite sure what his issue is."
He added: "I asked him at one stage when he was grabbing his private parts at me, numerous times, and I asked him if he had an issue.
"I'm still struggling to deal with what I actually did wrong. To be perfectly honest, he's arrogant, and he lost the match today and he's looking for every excuse in the book. He's a sore loser.
"It didn't feel like a tennis match, but it was dumb by them. Very rarely have I lost matches when people try to get into my face.
"What Chela did (spitting) at the Australian Open was disgraceful and it's carried on and I don't think David Nalbandian is the cleanest guy about the hip and shoulder (bump) at the Australian Open.
"He caused that situation at the Australian Open and he tried to act dumbfounded after the match."

Thanks Laney for the article But we try to post here about Marat participating in DC (or at least about the Russian team). You could post this article in the "Dinara & Other Players" board, guyfromrussia.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=Dinara , where there is already a thread about argentine players and another one about Davis Cup.

HELLOOOOOOOOO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't resist, work is too close to the Olympic Stadium so I just got into the office and here is what I have to say after watching Live Davis Cup Day 1 First of all my apologies to everyone who is waiting for photos but I have been a real idiot and left my camera yesterday at the office so there will be no photos from Day 1, but there will be many from days 2 and 3 I promise!!!!!!! ;D My seats are fantastic so I am sure I will have good photo material for you Now about today. 1. I am totally hoarse, I can hardly talk, I almost lost my voice so now I am whispering mainly ROTFL 2. Andreev - Gasquet. Oh boy, I am now officially announcing that I am in love with that Russian boy LOL Everyone knew he would lose but noose expected it to be so beautiful. He fought like a man, some shots were like wow!!!! He is a real character, it got very tense in the third set and there was a slight light of hope there for us but Gasquet is Gasquet and Igor got a bit too nervous on a tie-break in the third set but anyway.....IGOR YOU'RE MY HERO AND WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. Kolya - Matheu. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!!! This is exactly when I lost my voice.....First set was equal but Kolya took advantage of some mistakes Paul-Henri made and he won it 7:5. Then in the second it was all way too obvious. Kolya picked up and Matheu looked lost, way too many mistakes from the French and as a result Kolya takes it 6:2 and that's when the fun started...NOT!!!!!!!!! Kolya leads 3:0 in the third set, then 4:0, then it's 5:2 and Kolya is serving....he has 3 MATCH BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Half an hour later it's 5:5 and everyone is like WTF? Then he takes a medical break and I say "Oh shit...that's it..." but my boy isn't that easy to beat ;D ;D 7:5 in the third set to Kolya and it's 1:1 in all!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU KOLYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE GREAT AND WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So tomorrow it's my teddy bear Misha Youzhny and my new love Igor Andreev against Llodra and Clement. GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!!!!!!!!! I'LL BE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!! I got to chat a little with Misha after Kolya's match and got his autograph too ;D, he is such a darling!!!!! I am very lucky coz I sit right next to the extrance of players, so I see everyone really close!!!! Some funny observations today: Misha has something up his patata all the time ROTFL, the guy cannot sit still for a second, I am telling you!!! He's always turning, looking at someone, talking to someone, jumping up and down..hilarious!!! Gasquet has his hand in his mouth 24/7!!!! That guy is constantly biting his nails!!!! LOL Phew...I am so excited I have no idea how I am going to sleep tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More reports on Monday and GO RUSSIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KISSES EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!
