absolutely brilliant...silly jiat just discovered the singles final is on the day of her first 2 exams. absolutely bloody brilliant.....3.30pm Houston time makes it...erm...... nicki...is houston in the same time zone as u?? anyway, that makes it erm...about...4 or 5.30am for poor ole me...with paper starting at 8. pppfffffffftttttttt......   yes Houston is in the same time zone as i am and that sucks big time that you have an exam during Houston. sorweeeee |

FRIDAY PREVIEW The quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Masters is highlighted by a repeat of the 2002 final between No. 2 seed Lleyton Hewitt and No. 6 Marat Safin. The Russian won that match 76 60 64 for his second Bercy title but since then the Aussie has won the last two meetings and owns a 5-4 lifetime advantage. Hewitt won the last meeting 64 64 in the quarterfinals of ATP Masters Series Cincinnati in August. In the evening session, Hewitt takes on Safin for the 10th time and the Russian has won three of the previous four indoor meetings. Hewitt trails No. 2 Roddick by 33 points in the INDESIT ATP 2004 Race going into Friday. |

Houston is going to be interesting methinks  Safin has problem with Houston From correspondents in Paris November 6, 2004 CONTROVERSIAL Russian Marat Safin has hit out at the decision by the ATP to stage the season-ending Masters Cup on Houston's outdoor courts. Tournaments in the last two months have all been indoors in Europe and Safin believes it makes no sense to play the event outside. "It's going to be very difficult because I don't know why they are making it outdoors. It has to be indoors," said Safin, whose pronouncements will not make him the most popular of the eight players involved in the event at the Westside Tennis Club. "For some reason they changed it. I can't find any logic to it. All the players are used to playing indoors. It's stupid." The Russian, who reached the semi-finals of the Paris Masters today with a 6-4, 7-6 (7/2) win over Lleyton Hewitt, of Australia, stopped short of hinting, as some have done, that the decision to play outdoors was taken in the hope of aiding a home win. I remember from last year that Roger was not at all happy with the tournament organisers. If I rember rightly Roger was a little outspoken......if that is possible to imagine  The main sponsor, I cant remember his name (who would want to ) old grey haired idiot, who just happens to have a lot of money, and absolutely no class what soever - a REAL JERK And 100% bias when it comes to the American players. I remember seeing Andre quite embarassed and uncomfortable the way this guy was going on. He wears like the US Flag on his TShirt and hat Most inappropiate for a sponsor. He (the sponsor guy) LOVES Andy and when Andy was playing he would be cheering Andy without any respect for the other player. When Andy lost to Roger this jerk was so upset, and was actually quite rude at the trophy ceromony. Anyway this is the last time that this guy is sponsoring and its the last time its in Houston too. ;D FOR SURE...... there is no doubt.........Marat and this jerk will have words, but Marat will be the one to sort out this jerk. Its going to be interesting, thats for sure ;D |

Is matress Mac that guy with the american flag on his shirt from last year?  He already looke dannoying on tv, imagine in real life. I thought he was one of teh big sponsors. At leasts that's what they said on tv here. that he wanted a big tennsi tournament in his hometown Houston, so he got the masters cup there. As usual it's all about teh dollars. So I'd say to teh city of Rotterdam, come one and get the masters there. hehehe. And on Marat and annoying people, he'll handle him............. |
