heya guys! i know i am starting this early but i was wondering if anyone is going...?
organising my tix today and getting incredibly excited!
i was thinking that maybe we should have a tgfr meetup at the open for anyone who is going ;D

mackiemad could you please rename this thread into "Is anyone going to Australian Open 2006?" We wouldn't want this thread to be used next year to post scores and other tournament related matters. Thank you sweets ;D

But have the same problem as lau, for me it´s a bit far... unfortunately :-(

i am going to kooyong but i don't think that i am able to go to the aus open anymore...
i had some money stashed away for the very purpose of being able to go everyday and get some decent seats...have been working my little behind off for that money all year and budgeting carefully but a little *ahem* incident means that that money now goes to my someone else's insurace company and not to my heart's desire... and the accident wasn't my fault. she didn't check her mirrors properley but as i am still on my p's (not for long) i was blamed...never mind that i have done an advanced driving course and can do tricks like reverse 180's and stuff. i am a good driver, i am safe and i know how to get myself out of a situation if at all possible, but this also means that my own insurace premium is going to go up next year and i have to find some money to pay for the damage to my car... ok really not happy. sorry about the offloading!
but the end of it is it that the money that was going to be used for tix is no longer with us...or me anyway!
i am hoping to convice mum that a mother/daughter bonding day is in order. it will only be one day if it happens but one day is better than none and i would be thankful... if i do get to go then we should meet up, annoushka and safrod! (if only to get away from mum for a while!!)

I wud love to go but my mom is harping on me to save money (sigh...).. I've been going to F1 for two years to Melbourne and can't afford to go twice in a year so tennis had to take a backseat till 2005. Frustratingly, went to US Open 2005 - no Marat. Went to Thailand Open, no marat  Determined to see the dude but I have a feeling..... sigh... Tennis needs him to be healthy!! Agassi's age is catching up, Nadal alone to brunt the shoulder of the Roger era won't do!! Haven't even dared open the Oz Open site cos I know I'll be mega sad if I do and can't go. I'll find a way tho!  (Fingers crossed) |
