I don't know how to post an article but on his website they think he competed well enough against the top Spanish players in DC last year plus the weight loss, better fitness, blah, blah. His fans should be very optimistic in the coming weeks. So they say.

If I`m not wrong, he already won this tournament in 2003, so, this doesn`t mean he`ll do really well in RG..... But, you know , a top ten player is a top ten player, so..... If the weather is dry (quicker balls) and he, and Federer I would say, (specially Federer), are in the second week all clay players should keep a close eye on them. But I would be more worried by Federer, that is a more talented and complete player than Roddick . But I really hope that clay players kick their a$$es!! ;D ;D Specially Marat (I consider him a hard court player and a clay court player, too)......

Roddick always does well at Houston and then crashes out early at RG. The furthest Andy has ever made it is the 3rd round and that was clear back in 2001. Until he wins some quality matches on European red clay I don't think anyone will be keeping much of an eye on him lol

But he did show guts in DC final so there may be a chance of the 2nd week, only if he gets a lucky draw.

Just read about Hewitt getting fined for pulling out of Miami after the deadline, it was $24,000 fine plus an additional $24,000 for being a seeded player, so total of $48,000 fine for Hewitt, he's appealing it. Federer has withdrawn from Rome with inflammation of arches in both feet. And poor JCF can't get a wildcard for Rome or Hamburg, he has to go thru qualifying so he says he's not sure what he's going to do. As for Roddick winning RG I agree he probably gets into the second week. I don't see him winning unless there are many, many major upsets.

Yep, Hewitt was on his way home to get surgery on that foot and the ATP ppl knew it, but they threw a fine on him anyway. And something on a funnier note. During the Houston tournament Former First Lady Barbara Bush was talking with Andy and asked him about his love life Andy's answer: It's slumping.

WOW poor Lleyton..let alone he needs to have surgery, he also has a fine to pay..talk about tough luck...Anyway I hope he pulls through everything...
As for Roddick and the RG...I personally don't have any high expectations unless something really drastic happens with all the clay experts
