OK, my short quick report if anyone's interested. Got home just in time for the match. ;D ;D The 1st set was nice. 1st serve % - 80%, points won on 2nd serve - 100%, on 1st serve like 76% won or smth. At the beginning of the 2nd set he relaxed a bit I guess, we all know him right. But Lee started to play better, especially serve better, got settled. Marat had to save 2 BPs in his 1st service game in the 2nd set, did it with some nice aces, an ace from the 2nd serve, that was fun. Had 1 MP at 5-4 Lee serving but missed his chance there. Although he visibly concentrated to take the set and match there. Didn't happen. Lee served too well to take the game. At 6-5 then he finally got it so we didn't have to suffer through a TB, thanks Marat. Only 8 UEs in the 1st, a lot more UEs in the 2nd but a nice quiet match all in all. The UEs weren't that scary... yet. And Marat didn't get nervous really. Threw his racket 'softly' only once at the end of the 2nd set when he missed an easy shot. Lee had 2 more BPs at the end of the 2nd set at 4-4 when Marat was serving but couldn't convert any of them. Marat's BP conversion 4/10, well.... Cannot draw a huge lot of conclusions from this match. We'll see against Saulnier tomorrow. BTW, the cameras showed only Peter. OK, that's all now. Gotta get back to work. C'ya later.

Second-seeded Marat Safin of Russia cruised into the second round with a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Lee Hyung-taik of South Korea.
Safin, who won the Australian Open title earlier this year, needed only 20 minutes to win the first set and plays Frenchman Cyril Saulnier in the next round.
Safin said the second set took longer because he was testing out some new shots.
``I wanted to try some different things because it's better to do it in the first round than against a clay-court specialist in the semis,'' Safin said. ``By experimenting you get a better feel of the court.''
