OK, Marat lost to Radek 6-7(8), 6-4, 3-6. In no mood for further discussions at the moment!

Painful and stupid. I have nothing else to say....
No point in hoping that it's just because of his doubles and the tie breaks he had played. he was losing, he is losing, he will be losing.

Come on people, don't be so angry at him. He was fighting until the end and with having foot injury. He was doomed in the third set. Of course Marat being Marat made his life more difficult by losing that tiebreak first set. Stepanek returned extremely well, probably the best that I have seen anyone considering they played indoors on fast surface. Marat just couldn't win points off that first serve for most of the match (during mid point of the match Marat won 55% of his first serve points.. the lowest I have ever seen outside of clay). Marat didn't play his best but he never does in Kremlin Cup. After his winning streak everyone is expects him to win tournament all of the sudden but the fact is it is difficult for him still, especially at home. At this point I am more worried for his left foot injury than for the result. Match is over and there 3 straght straight tournaments that are more important than this one. I hope he takes a rest and will be ready for Masters next week. Crowd was rodiculous today. On the breakpoint in the third set some idiot yelled something right before Marat was about to serve. He double faluted.... They need to learn some antics and rules of the game... Anyways, I like his NEW and imporved second serve though. It was more effective than his first one. He serves at 165-175 second serve which is big difference from 145 at AO this year... So, he improves!!!

Oh Vlad>>> thank you thank you so much sweetie I feel so much better after reading your post.
.
Perri mentioned this on the TB, my video screen kept freezing so I must have missed this and was unaware.
Tottally agree.
Samething I was saying to Ruth, but thought it was just me, so am glad to hear you say so too
Thanks too for this, helps to understand better how the match goes, whilst the video thingy is great to have it does not really flow and there is this time lapse. So thanks.
I agree, I was wondering too what he will do about the doubles, I also noticed that Marat's and Max's next opponents are no other than........Stepanek and Leos Fate is really something else again.
This was hard to observe on that video thingy, so again thanks for this information, its really encouraging.
Once again Vlad, thank you so much for your post, I feel so much better.

I don't see anyone angry here Vlad. You must confuse us with the people on Safinator. I personally am just sad. But good analysis Vlad. Just wanted to say that his ankle was not the problem at all, it's still the head! I'm pretty sure his ankle will be fine for Paris. And his 1st serve wasn't bad, Radek just could return like a dream, Marat clearly got frustrated after he lost the TB. And yeah, good that he's been working on the 2nd serve. For those who didn't get the stream, Peter and Allon were there.
