I heard Amelie on the radio this morning, talking about Dinara. She said:
She's a Russian, another one. And she has a powerful serve, she hits the ball very strong on her baseline. I know her a little bit because i've been practising with her a few times in the past, and that's how i know she's strong, she's a good player. I think, i think...well, i HOPE everything will be fine for me tomorrow, but i think i'll have to be very careful.

I don't know, but I'm always skeptical abt what I read on WTA. Those ppl are just masters at making mountains out of mole hills........ This sound like the truth. Everyone seems to agree that it actually happened. The question is this: was it justifiable? Probably... to a certain extent.

wow, what a story I'm pretty sure she didn't mean what she said to the kids, i mean not as regard as their nationality. If the crowd really applauded her double faults then she had reasons to be pissed off and refused to sign autographs. But she perhaps has been too rude, and immature. When i saw Hewitt play against Srichaphan in Bercy in 2002 it was awful for him. Except for 2 teenage girls and a young boy in front of me, the whole stadium was cheering for Srichaphan, very loudly. This itself is fine, but i's not anymore when ppl applaud Lleyton's faults and double faults. Applauding a player's faults is just... well, it goes against the game for me! you applaud points won by your fave ok, but you don't applaud his opponent's faults! i was very ashamed to be there this day! (tho i couldn't bear Lleyton at that time). Ppl were awful, they even booed him and whistled during his on-court itw after the match! Completely stupid! But Lleyton acted very well, and very calm. He likes adversity, he told journalists a few times that when he plays in front of an hostile crowd this makes him want to win even more, and he plays better... and so he says nothing to the crowd and just fights. He acted better that day than 15,000 persons (hum, no...14,994...yeah you have to exclude the 2 teenies, the boy and his granny, my friend and i ;D) Anyway, if the Chinese fans were acting this way, i can understand Dina being pissed off. But even if she was, she should have acted like the professional she is, and shouldn't have been rude to ppl, especially kids. Cuz being pissed off doesn't excuse the words ppl reported she said ( if she really said them)
