3rd round pics: The Feisty Safina Nadia Petrova on Safina: "Dinara looks so dominant — her facial expression has changed, her mental approach is different and she looks more grown up. Reaching the French final really helped her confidence. Before she was just going to tournaments and trying to get as far as she could. Now, from what I've heard from her, she has the desire to become to No. 1 and has really set a goal for herself."

And Dinara is in the SF!!!!!!!!!!!Safina Defeats Jankovic to Complete Semifinal Line-Up www.sonyericssonwtatour.com/1/newsroom/stories/?ContentID=2525 some part from this.... Jankovic said.... "She's obviously a lot stronger than me and has a lot more endurance." "She's been playing great tennis the last couple of months," Jankovic said. "She's in great form in the moment. The results show that she's really playing well and deserves to be in the top of the women's game at this moment. She has a chance to become No.1 or very close to No.1. That's all I can say about her." Safina began the season with an 11-10 record but has since gone 31-3, winning Berlin, Los Angeles and Montréal and finishing runner-up at Roland Garros and 's-Hertogenbosch (her only pre-final loss came at Wimbledon, where she lost in the third round). She is on the verge of reaching her sixth final in seven events. Safina also becomes the first player since the inception of computer rankings in 1975 to beat three different reigning world No.1s in the same season. Before this year the record was beating two different No.1s; but with her wins over Justine Henin at Berlin, Maria Sharapova at Roland Garros and now Jankovic at the Olympics,Safina makes history as the first to down three in the same season.

1. I love her little skirt 2. It is amazing how much she's changed both physically and mentally 3. Her facial expressions often remind me sooooo much of Marat 4. Even her belly in these pictures reminds me of Marat! Should I be worried??? 5. Saving 3 break points at 3-3 was more than a comeback....she just won the first set 6-3. Two more to go for gold baby!!! :-)
edit:
6. Well...silver's not bad either! Congrats to both Elena and Dinara, they had a great olympics tournament :-)

well, evaki...they are brother and sister, so the similarities in physical appearance and even in personalities may be present...as they say..."it's in the blood"...you don't have anything to worry about.
Anyway, congrats to Dina...for the silver...gold would've been better, but you tried your best...just the serve wasn't working...and i wish you could've attacked the net more...but hey, there's always the next one...
