In her post-match interview Amelie said she was looking for revenge for last year's final. She sounded rather purposeful so Dinara will need to keep her wits about her.

I wanted to win very badly here. In the quarterfinals I'll meet Kim Clijsters, if she wins Wednesdaynight, that's very special to me. I have never been able to win from her, maybe I can do it this time. I saw her train and I think she's fit", Safina says.
In that case the audience will ofcourse root for Kim. "That's no problem to me. If the crowd is noisy then I'll focus even more on the points. My brother tought me always to be friendly to the crowd, otherwise things will go bad. I also don't think it's unfair. If I ever play against Kim in Moscow, she can expect the same situation", Safina laughs.
"Fed Cup doesn't keep me awake at night. Only a week before the encounter, I'll hear if I'm on the team or not. The whole controversy around Maria Sharapova doesn't bother me. I hope she will play, because after all she is the best Russian player. If Kim and Justine are on the Belgian team, the Russians will have to be at their best".
