I`m not surprised by Gastón, but I must admit that David definitely surprised me. I never thought that after that illness he would be playing so well, so fast!! ;D ;D I can`t watch Gaston`s match today I hope I`ll watch him tomorrow. Good luck Gastón and David!!!

Wohooooooooo!!!!! David won in Munich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! His first singles title since.......... Estoril 2002!!!!!!!! I`m really, really very happy for him. This was a difficult beginning of 2005 for him and now this title!!!!!!!! WELL DONE!!!!! David Nalbandian d. Andrei Pavel 6-4, 6-1 Again, NICE SCORE DAVID!!!!!!!! And he just needed 1 hour and 9 minutes!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D This time you deserve it David: (This is only for Marat usually) I usually don`t get so exited about tennis (unless Marat wins a title), but I`m so happy for him!!!Nalbandian cruises to Munich victory MUNICH, May 1 (Reuters) - Argentine top seed David Nalbandian made short work of Romania's Andre Pavel to take the Munich Open with a 6-4 6-1 victory in Sunday's final. Nalbandian's first ATP tournament win since 2002 came in just 69 minutes and earned him a new car from the sponsors as well as the 44,000 euros ($56,870) first prize. "It wasn't easy," Nalbandian said after his breezy win on the Munich clay. "You have to work to play like this and I've been practising very hard. "This was a very important win for me, my first after two strange years with so many injuries." Nalbandian's perfect placement never gave the fifth-seeded Pavel a chance, as the Argentine won the first set with a single break before taking complete command in the second. He consolidated an early break for 3-1, ran Pavel out wide to set up a break-point in the next and took it when the Romanian mishit an easy forehand into the bottom of the net. Nalbandian set up three match-points with a stunning return that left his opponent flat-footed. Pavel clipped the line with a forehand to save the first but could not reach a vicious Nalbandian backhand on the next. "David played unbelievably well," Pavel said. "It's a shame." Look the name(??) in the car;D ;D ;DYeah, that`s a nice car David! ;D (David looooooves cars, car races, rally, etc.) (And in 15 minutes, Estoril´s final beggins!!! Good luck Gastón!!)

Gaudio won in Estoril!!!! ;D ;D ;D Gaudio d. Robredo 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 As usual, a match with ups and downs for Gaston . But he played very well (apart from that awful 2 nd set)!!!! From ATP site: The Nalbandian-Gaudio double marked the first time since 1983 (Vilas, Kitzbuehel and Clerc, Washington) that Argentine players had won titles in the same week. Gaudio overcomes blip to beat Robredo in Estoril ESTORIL, Portugal, May 1 (Reuters) - French Open champion Gaston Gaudio overcame a mid-match slump to defeat Spaniard Tommy Robredo 6-1 2-6 6-1 to take the Estoril Open claycourt title on Sunday. Robredo won the first game against the Argentine but then made countless unforced errors in losing the next six and the set. Gaudio lost his opening serve in the second and never recovered as Robredo levelled. But the world number five upped his game in the decider, racing into a 5-0 lead before closing out the match with an unreturnable forehand. Hey!!!! That`s a good champagne!!! Argentina's Gaudio holds the trophy and a shirt of soccer star Maradona at the Estoril OpenAnd just a little gossip ;D ;D. If you watched the final, the girl in Gaudio`s box is Marcela Kloosterboer, an argentine actress (obviously, it seems she`s his new girlfriend). I like that couple!!!

David Nalbandian 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 After all, 4 victories and 1 defeat it´s not so bad And Marat WON!!!!!!!! ;D ;DCoria scrapes into second round in Rome By James Eve
ROME, May 3 (Reuters) - Ninth seed Guillermo Coria scraped into the second round of the Rome Masters with a 7-6 5-7 6-4 win over Fernando Gonzalez on Tuesday.
The Argentinian, who finished runner-up at Roland Garros last year and reached the final of the Monte Carlo Masters claycourt tournament in April, had won his previous four meetings against Gonzalez.
That superiority was not evident in a tight first set that Coria edged on the tiebreak after Gonzalez put a forehand into the tramlines.
Coria began to exert more pressure in the second set, but failed to convert any of his eight break points.
He paid the price in the eleventh game when, serving to take the set into another tie break, a double fault gave Gonzalez a break point of his own, which he converted by rifling a service return down the line to take the match into a decider.
The contest could have gone either way, but a pair of unforced errors by Gonzalez in the seventh game allowed Coria to grab the crucial break and then serve out to set up a clash with Germany's Nicolas Kiefer, who beat his compatriot Tommy Haas 6-3 6-1 in an earlier match.
In later first-round matches, number two seed Marat Safin takes on Jiri Novak of the Czech Republic, while Spain's Carlos Moya opens the defence of his title against home favourite Potito Starace.

Guillermo C. won his match against Verdasco ;D Coria d. Verdasco 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 I enjoyed this match!! Some good clay tennis.. For a while I though Guillermo was in danger.... I keep the faith for a final! His next match is against Agassi The head-to-head is Agassi 5- Coria 1.... That will be tough.... but the time Guillermo defeated Andre was on clay and the 5 times Andre defeated Guillermo were on hard court, so.....

Guillermo Coria defeated Agassi (7-5, 7-6)!!! And he`s in the final of Rome MS!!!!I enjoyed excellent clay matches this morning!!!! Both semifinals were incredible matches!!!! BTW, Agassi looked very old when Coria played drop shots! The match was full of break points : Guillermo 5/10 - Agassi 4/6 Nice match!! But Guillermo will have to improve a little if he wants to win tomorrow`s match (against NADAL !!!!!) Nadal will play tomorrow his third consecutive ATP Masters Series final (Miami, Monte Carlo). So, tomorrow we`ll watch the Monte Carlo final again...... I hope this turns out to be different Good luck for tomorrow Guillermo (you´ll need it ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Nadal (I can´t help it... again, he scares me...) d. Coria 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 4-6 7-6That´s pretty much all I can say. It was one of the best matches I´ve ever seen!!!! From ATP site: Rafael Nadal won an epic five-hour, five-set battle against Guillermo Coria in the final of the Telecom Italia Masters Sunday and now has his sights set on a unique piece of ATP Masters Series history...... Nadal, who is now just 10 points behind INDESIT ATP 2005 Race leader Roger Federer, defeated Coria 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(8) in 5 hrs., 14 mins, winning 190 points to 188..... Really close!! Just for laughing a little..... In the third set, as he was a little frustrated, Coria said something like this (I don´t remember the EXACT words): "I can´t believe what this "pibe"(something like "boy") is doing" "Get him a girlfriend right now!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D That was very funny.... I couldn`t stop laughing!!
