I am hearing some reports that they named the baby Mia Lleyton Hewitt and Bec Cartwright name girl Mia 06dec05 LLEYTON Hewitt and his actor wife, Bec Cartwright, have named their baby daughter Mia Rebecca. "Bec and Lleyton only told close friends and family over the weekend," said Rob Aivatoglou, the couple's manager. Cartwright gave birth to Mia last Tuesday, November 29, at Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital. The family are now at home in their Palm Beach mansion, on Sydney's north shore. Awww i love the name Mia!! It's really nice! At least it aint something stupid...like Apple  Good luk 2 the happy family btw i did think Lleyton's appearance in home & away was a bit pointless ... was really lookin 4ward 2 it actually, but then it was all a bit of an anticlimax!  |

Bec and Lleyton's newborn celebrity December 11, 2005 Happy family: the Hewitts. Picture courtesy: Woman's Day. SHE'S just 13 days old and already the most prized possession in the Hewitt household. Meet Mia Rebecca Hewitt – the much-anticipated daughter of tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and his soapie-star wife Bec Cartwright. The first photographs of the newborn and an interview with her proud parents will be published in this week's Woman's Day magazine. The six-page feature, shot at the couple's luxury Palm Beach mansion, shows the golden couple relaxing at home with their baby. Bec, 22, speaks glowingly of the beautiful baby she cannot take her eyes off. "When I feed her, I see Lleyton's eyes, and she has a dimple in her chin like both of us," she says. "That was one of the first thing I noticed when she was born." That aside, she is not certain just which of her parent's features Mia has inherited. "It's hard to tell who she looks like, but you can watch her for hours – every little expression on her face, every frown and wrinkle. "Every single day we're learning something new about her." The couple's magazine deal is reputedly worth between $1.3 million and $1.6 million – a record sum for an Australian magazine exclusive. Security was so tight around the birth of Mia at Royal North Shore Private on November 28, that five security guards were hired to guard mother and child and the official announcement of Mia's birth was made by Woman's Day. Dad Lleyton, who is preparing to make his comeback from injury in next month's Australian Open in Melbourne, is overwhelmed. "To bring home a new little human being and to look after her and try to teach her everything you know about life, there really aren't any words to describe it," he said. It was only at this year's Australian Open in January that Hewitt proposed to his soap-star princess and in May, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. The pair wed in a lavish ceremony at Sydney's Opera House in August. Lleyton made a brief trip away from home last week to pick up some essentials in nearby Avalon with coach and friend, Roger Rasheed. Lleyton's vehicle of choice drew the attention of shoppers in the upmarket beachside suburb – the latest addition to his garage, a $120,000 black US H2 Hummer. The Sunday Telegraph |
