As I recall...he said it was something a photographer asked him to do, I think it was either at Monte Carlo or Rome in 2005. And he liked it, thought it was something different other than just lifting the trophy over his head or whatever and he sort of adopted it. Now it's just another part of the persona.
That's the only explanation I've got anyway lol

Nadal missed four months last year because of an injury to his right foot, and the problem resurfaced this month in Dubai. Playing on hard courts in the United States might aggravate it, so the team's captain and doctors decided to leave Nadal off the squad, Hernandez said. David Ferrer, Tommy Robredo, Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco will make up the team. ------------ apparently this isn't affecting the rest of the week in Miami as there was no mention - makes one a little nervous though |

OMG, i don't think i've seen such an ugly outfit on him, ever! Even the army/ capri from AO was way, way better....
