Lost in doubles quarterfinals to Damm and Paes yesterday 4.6 6.4 1.6 But that will give him more time and concentration for the semis in singles ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Here are some photos from the doubles match yesterday (it's really funny how all of a sudden there are photos of Misha EVERYWHERE ;D ;D ;D ) I know!!! I remember when nobody really knew him, I was his fan (I still am, oh yeah, long before I knew our dear marat, not that long really, but, anyway, he came before gorgeous maratik) and I was like mad about him... but nobody knew who he was so I couldn't talk about him with anybody, now I can!!! ;D ;D it was him and Schüttler, actually, they used to partner... lol

Who is Mikhail Youzhny?
Mikhail Youzhny shocked the tennis world with his quarter-final victory over Rafael Nadal at US Open on Wednesday night, but where has the 24 year-old Russian been hiding all these years?
Four years ago, Youzhny became an overnight hero in Russia as he fought back from two sets down to beat France's Paul-Henri Mathieu in the fifth and decisive 2002 Davis Cup final match to give Russia its first ever title.
Then just 20, Youzhny was championed as a future world number one, but until his sensational victory over Nadal in the US Open quarter-finals on Wednesday night, he had shown no further signs of such big-time potential.
Admittedly, Youzhny's life on tour has been far from a failure, he was ranked as high as 15th in the world as recently as October 2005, but despite winning two ATP titles in his career and earning close to $3m in prize money, he had never really done it at a big tournament until this week.
Two fourth round appearances at Wimbledon and a few quarter-final places at Masters events is the best he has managed, but the way he raised his game against Nadal in his first ever Grand Slam quarter-final shows how much he relishes playing on the big stage.
Speaking exclusively to Eurosport after his fourth set victory over Nadal, Youzhny revealed that he is not yet ready to celebrate his achievements at Flushing Meadows because there is still work to do.
"I cannot say it is the best moment of my career so far because the tournament is not over," he said.
"Yes it is nice to beat the second seed in the tournament and one of the best players in the world, but I tell you, the tournament is not finished.
"If somebody told me before the tournament that I would be in the semis I would have said 'great', but when you are already in the semis of course you want more, and you think you can do more too, so we will see on Saturday."
POOR FORM
Youzhny's run to the semis is in itself astonishing stuff, given his poor form so far this season.
The Russian, who has finished inside the world's top 50 in each of the last four seasons, hadn't made it to the last 16 of any Masters or Grand Slam event this year, and had dropped to 54th in the world rankings before New York.
Youzhny admits that he has had his problems, but now feels fresh and ready to go.
"When I first came back from my knee injury at beginning of the year I had a lot of problems, personality problems, but now I am happy. I have worked hard since the beginning of the year and now I am starting to see the results of my work," he said.
In his impressive run to the semis, Youzhny has beaten Spain's top three ranked players in Nadal, Tommy Robredo (sixth seed), and David Ferrer (11th); while he also disposed of 19th seed Dominik Hrbaty in the first round.
Next up for Youzhny will be a semi-final meeting with Andy Roddick, a player who he beat twice early in his career.
Roddick should be wary, Mikhail Youzhny is a name that slipped off the tennis radar soon after his breakthrough win in the Davis Cup in 2002, but it looks like the Russian could once more be ready to step into the big time.
