Is it just me or is Andreev one of the most overrated players on the circuit?

OK, first of all Igor beat Mitya Tursunov 6:7, 6:1, 6:2 Second of all I will answer your question jewell.... I support Igor for two reasons: 1. I support ALL Russians (some more than others but I always support them all) 2. He is a great kid with a lovely character and a decent amount of talent... HOWEVER 1. I think he is not that overrated because noone has really overrated him, I mean he played 28 tournaments last year, won three of them and earned his place in top 30 2. I think Igor got too stuck in Spain and I seriously wish he overloooks his technique and starts diversifying it a little bit. His tennis is too straightforward and too monotonous... but he can do so much better, he is a talented lad and I wish he just walks off from the Spanish team and starts learning something new because clay tennis is just one little brick in the wall 3. From all the Russian players I think his tennis is least interesting but he is such a sweet kid that I will always support him anyway ;D ;D ;D Hope I answered your question jewell

Bloody hell I was up till 2.30 watching it!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Now it's 4.30 and I am up watching Marat LMAO Great victory Igor!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roddick played soooooooooo badly...his forehand was nowhere in sight and even the serve was suffering...so Igor took advantage of the situation. He broke right away in the first game of the first set and held his serve until the end of the set. Second set was a real drama... Igor was down 0:40 twice (!!!!) and managed to come back... and then after all that effort he suddenly decided to present Roddick with a tie-break, which he gave to him on a silver plate... Igor choked soooo badly in the TB that I thought that was it BUT ;D After Igor broke Roddick in the first game on Roddick's serve in the third set..and went on to lead 2:0 and then 3:0, it was obvious Roddick had lost it. CONFGRATULATIONS IGOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D P.S. Off topic. Never seen Roddick behave in such an unsporty manner...he even got a warning.... he really left a bad impression tonight...has no idea how to lose gracefully

Andreev shocks Roddick to reach Indian Wells quarter-finals ;D ;D
INDIAN WELLS, United States (AFP) - Russian Igor Andreev shocked an out-of-sorts Andy Roddick 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Indian Wells Masters Series.
It was another frustrating day for the third-seeded Roddick, who came into the tournament smarting from four losses this year to players outside the top 50.
Roddick, ranked number three in the world, had plenty of chances, but undermined himself with 45 unforced errors and let his emotions boil over to the point that he had a point deducted for repeated code violations.
That came when Roddick slammed his racquet into the court after double-faulting to drop his serve to love in the sixth game of the third set, setting up Andreev to serve for the match at 5-1.
Roddick had already been warned in the second set for swearing as he complained to the umpire about noise from the chair microphone.
Roddick was able to recover his poise and hold serve for 4-3. But he failed to convert three break points in the 10th game as the set went to the tiebreaker, in which Roddick hit a backhand wide on his first set point before catching Andreev out with a drop shot.
Andreev, 22 and ranked 26th in the world, had saved nine match points in a 16-14 tiebreak to beat Sweden's Robin Soderling 3-6, 7-6 (16/14), 6-4 in the third round.
He put Roddick on the defensive early with a crisp first-set display.
In the third he denied Roddick's three break chances in the opening game, then broke the American to love in the second game as he sped to a 4-1 lead.
He booked his quarter-final berth on his first match point, with a backhand winner.
In the quarter-finals Andreev will face either American James Blake or German Tommy Haas, who bundled eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi out of the third round.
