That's so funny! ;D ;D ;D ;D But I thought that by cutting his hair James would have been faster on the court coz he's less heavy... But I was wrong . He probably hopes his hair comes back very quickly now!!

I'm not really into Blake with or without his hair, but I say that he looks way more better with his dreds...

i think it's where you have little braids of your hair all the way from your forehead to the end of your hair. (ok, that sounds really bad)
so it's like rows of braids running down your head starting from the forehead.

Oh okay, isn't that how most Balinese and Jamaicans wear their hair.... If it is, then I like cornrows, especially when they have little beads on the end ;D

cornrow = A portion of hair braided close to the scalp to form a row with others okay now I remember why I don't like dictionaries and why I never use them, I still don't understand exactly what it is Guess we're just gonna need pics ;D

Okeydokey,
I have been following this tread about the 'cornrows'!!!
Been a west indian, that's a person from the Caribbean, I had to just step in and say.....
The picture....Sirius21 posted, we call that 'braids' This is like plait extensions plated into the hair very popular
Sirius>>> your first description was pretty good, its like a plait that starts at the front of the head, and works it way to the base of the skull. Its a not like a plait that lies on top of the head, the plait goes under, you pick up the bits of hair as u go along. Also we don't really use the word 'corn row' but say 'Guinea' corn row I think is the more comercialized form, and we don't really put beads in, unless its for some thing special. Most when people have a 'bad hair day' we guinea, or if you are going to the beach, or want to treat your hair.
Also, its not just Jamaicans, its all of the Caribbean, and I did not even know the Balinese did similar.
Here and in the other islands women will go on the beaches and tourists get their hair braided, sometimes the men too.......we sometimes find it quite funny......
Also, we really don't say 'dreads' when referring to hair we say 'locks' and those that have locks really keep them good and clean, we wash locks in the sea and in the rivers....yeah! and at home too! and they use some called Aloe to keep the hair conditioned.
We also have 'twigging' (I think that is how u spell it) which is lots of like little 'knots' all over the head!!!
Caribbean people are either Negro, Indian, Chinese, White, (we have some Carib, only a couple of islands)or a mixture. We are mostly mixed. And sometimes into that mixture we have Portugese, Spanish and French!! Guinea is unique to our Negro people, the rest of us have 'fly away hair'......so its difficult for the Guinea to hold for any lenght of time. I would cry when I was very young if they guineaed my hair because they would have to pull it so tight it really hurt , and all day..........
BTW should we not start a HOLIDAY Thread? that way anyone going on holiday can post there, sometimes I find it hard to remember where someone has posted about their holiday.............
So unless that happens, Chirs looking forward to seeing those pictures of the 'corn rows' sounds like you are having a great time, and Maria welcome back sounds to like you had a great holiday, hope we too are going to see a snap or two ;D
