the first set was SPECTACULAR..both of em were serving great and then in the TB andre was 5-3 up and was about to serve when Rafa came back 2nd and 3rd sets were just blurrs..Andre had his moments with that backhand down the line over the top of the net post but he didn't pull it through. When he was taking his interview courtside I don't believe it but [glow=red,2,300]I started to cry [/glow]right there in front of my telly ..I'm going to miss A.A

Wow, what a great tournament Wimby 06 has this been so far! ;D Marat sadly had to wave goodbye in the second round but I made a conscious effort to concentrate on the rest of the action and was rewarded with amazing tennis on the weekend: Andy Murray blowing Andy Roddick off the Center Court - how impressive was that? Mario Ancic fighting Stanislas Wawrinka on Friday night and then defeating him easily on Saturday - he's a firm favorite this year. Dimitry Tursunov coming back from two sets down, upsetting Ivan Ljubicic - you rule, Mitya! David Ferrer copied Mitya and fought Gonzalez down in five sets - gracias for avenging Marat! On a sadder note, Andre Agassi lost against Rafa . I like Nadal but I would've preferred to see more of Andre at his last Wimbledon appearance. Well, all this leads to exciting matches today: Murray vs. Baghdatis Ancic vs. Djokovic Federer vs. Berdych and the weirdest one: Björkman vs. Mirnyi! The second best doubles team in the world fighting each other in the 4th round! Bizarre! I took the advice I got from this site and subscribed to Wimbledon TV - what a brilliant service they are offering ! I wish every major tournament would jump on the idea. I can see pretty much all matches live (I watched Nadal-Agassi while lying in my garden, enjoying the weather - that's real luxury! ) and whatever gets missed due to poor scheduling or absence can be downloaded the next day. No commercials, very able commentators, it's a lot of fun. And reasonably priced at 20 bucks US. To be recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some interesting matches today. I think the following players will make progress into the quarter-finals today; Murray, Federer, Tursunov, Hewitt, Djokovic, Mirnyi, Stepanek and Nadal.

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!!!!!!!!!! Mario defeated Djokovic in 5 sets! Now he's gonna play Roger, definitely a VERY interesting match. Maybe Roger will finally lose at least a set So sorry for Mitya, though. He put up a great fight and would have deserved to win for coming back after being two sets down. And what happened to Andy Murray? Partied too much after the Roddick match? Anyway, there will be some great ladies matches 2morrow, reese already summed them up. And then on to the big quarterfinal-Wednesday...

The top 4 seeded ladies in the semi-finals, this promises great matches tomorrow: Justine vs. Kim followed by Amelie vs. Maria Two surprise semifinalists in the men's section, though: Jonas Björkmann and Marcos Baghdatis. I would've rather put money on Stepanek and Hewitt, good thing I'm not a gambler . And what a shame for Rafa and Nieminen - their match got postponed. Is there anybody our there who DOESN'T think Nadal will advance to the semis? As for Mario Ancic: It's sad that he lost but not a surprise (again: Is there anybody our there who DOESN'T think Roger will win the tournament?). The absolute bigest fun was the men's doubles today: Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor won their match 5:7 6:3 6:7 6:3 23:21!!!!!!!!! The match lasted 369 minutes! That's over 6 hours! Maybe tie breaks in the fifth set are a good idea after all...

Well, I think Nieminen can beat Nadal... He beat Dima in the previous round and Dima is an excellent grass court player. So maybe. As for Roger, there I really think he will win ^^ For Knowles and Nestor: WOW !!! It must be really tough to be used to play in 3 sets with the no-ad and the Super TB in the third and to have to play match during more than 6 hours !!!! Congrats to them
