Thursday Results Men's Singles, Quarterfinals 1 2 3 Roger Federer (SUI) [1] 7 6 James Blake (USA) [9] 6 4 anyone has any doubts as to who is going to win this??? Andy Roddick (USA) [4] 3 6 4 David Ferrer (ESP) [11] 6 4 6 wow!!!!! well done David!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Women's Singles, Semifinals Amelie Mauresmo (FRA) [1] 1 4 Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) [12] 6 6 ;D ;D Incredible performance!!!!!!!! It was such a pleasure to watch!!!!!!! ;D Sveta, you rock girl!!!!!!! Welcome back Maria Sharapova (RUS) [4] 6 6 4 Retired Tatiana Golovin (FRA) [22] 3 7 3 that was SUCH a drama!!!!!!! Maria was 5:1 in the second set and was serving for the match when Tanya started playing unbelievable tennis!!!!! And then the third set..what a tragedy.... Maria was 4:3 up and serving... Tanya has a BP, it's 30:40, Maria hits a brilliant ball right on the baseline, Tanya dives for it and her ankle just twists inside..it was scary I tell ya And that was it..she tried to play after she got bandaged but it was clear she can't even walk... even though I supported Masha I felt soooooooo sorry for Tatiana I must say that Maria acted like a real lady: she grabbed Tanya's hand and held it for a while close to her chest and stayed consoling her..and then just shook umpire's hand and tried to leave as fast as she can... Well well well it's a Russian final again with the ladies ;D ;D ;D Sorry Masha but DAVAI SVETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I sooooooo want her to get back to her previous shape ) Women's Doubles, Quarterfinals L. Raymond (USA) / S. Stosur (AUS) [1] 6 4 7 E. Daniilidou (GRE) / A. Medina Garrigues (ESP) 3 6 6 S. Congratulations to Sveta, she just didn't let Amelie into the match. I think she packed cannonballs into her bag yesterday!! Is this the way she played when she won the US Open? It was magnificent to watch. I saw up until the beginning of the 2nd set when it looked as if Amelie was getting started but i had to leave because I had to enforce homework and someone wanted to watch football and a crime show. Ruth, you are the weakest link, Good bye!

PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE !!! nothing can explain the current ecstasy i feel now!!SVETA WONNNNNN ;D grrreat score too!! Here's an extract from an article from the OS : www.nasdaq100open.com/news/pr/news22085.html"One day I was reading an interview with Marat (Safin); he did the same thing winning the US Open young and he was not ready for it," said Kuznetsova. "You not lift your head up, you lose confidence. I was not ready to handle the ssure. I didn’t work with any psychologist. I was just on my own. I had many people telling me different opinions and I didn’t know where to go. I didn’t know whose part to take. "At the end of 2005 I just took my time. I just decided I have to change. I cannot have this anymore in my head. I just have to go somewhere. I took very important decisions for me outside the court. "I decided the way I have to go and this is what worked for me. For the moment it’s working and I’m very happy. Finally I start to play for me, for myself, because I had motivation, what I have to do, for who I have to play. Now, I just do it on my own. I do it for me. "I do it with my coach and I work hard and I enjoy every day of my life. I enjoy being out there every time, because it’s a great pleasure to play tennis and to be a professional athlete." Mauresmo gave full credit to Kuznetsova, her doubles partner, for the way she played. She said the Russian, who is a good mover on the court – a legacy of her parents, who have Olympic cycling in their blood – hit the ball hard off both wings and was hitting it deep. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Annie,I'd rather die of having a heart attack because of THIS than the whole draw thing a lil from her interview:Q. When you won, you were very serious. Your face, you didn't seem to get excited. I know that Mauresmo is your doubles partner and I guess you're close to her. How difficult was that? Was it kind of awkward? Did you guys talk? Talk about the doubles aspect, you're still playing with her. SVETLANA KUZNETSOVA: It was very hard. I am kind of sad, you know . But I know I come to the gym and I said my coach, you know, I a bit sad because I don't want to -- Amelie is different to me because she's my doubles partner, she's very nice to me. But he said, "Look, you got to do what you got to do. You had to play, you played well." I had mistakes before because I played with people who very close and I cannot play. But this is, like, look, do the job and outside we are friends. I don't want to yell "C'mon," I didn't do it once in the match, I didn't say anything. Because I don't feel like this, you know. I do as I feel, and I play as I can, you know. I played my best, and I am sad that Amelie lost, but I am happy for myself because I work hard enough and I think I deserve place in the final. But, you know, she's my friend. I'm not gonna go there and be an animal against her. photos here: www.nasdaq-100open.com/news/photos/gallery22104.html

Honestly the Golovin Masha match was unbelievable. I felt so sorry for Golovin i was nearly in tears i felt so sorry for her but fair play match. What about Sveta amazing run and i think this can be her tournament. Anyway a russian is gonna win it so that's all right but i would prefer if Sveta won to get her confidence back.
