After a delicious dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant and a good sleep, we first dropped of Annabel at the metro station (who unfortunately had to go back home again  ) and Alex and I had another day of duty at the tennis centre ....... Anna and Annette were there ofcourse too  Aspeling/Knowle vs. Nestor and Zimonjic:           Goran was there, cheering for Nenad :   After this match, we went to watch some nice Black Rock matches again... This time Henri Leconte vs. Pat Cash ;D:    The guys are "old" .... sometimes they have to have a bit of a rest after a good point with a lot of "running"      Pat even treated us with a shirtchange (and thank god Leconte didn't  )        Next up (ofcourse  ) the doubles match with Tommy Robredo/ Leander Paes vs. Ivan Ljubicic abd Robin Soderling:        Tommy and Leander won, so *woot * we had another day of Tommy in the tournament Fernando Verdasco was faciing Fed on Centre Court:         followed by Novak Djokovic vs. Albert Montanes:           The next match was Andreas Seppi vs. Kiwi  and OMFG  that was a weird match .... went to the hotel to change for bye bye dinner with Alex after seeying a bit of it, watched big parts on the TV and then headed back to the Tennis Centre for the Rafa-Carlos match cuz I THOUGHT it was about to finish soon after i left .... NOT! Ah, well..          So i came back for Rafa and Carlos, but had the chance (cuz the Kiwi-Seppi match STILL wasn't over, for a bit of Black Rock again .... This time Goran (in very bright yellow ... Now THATS a big bird, lol ;D) vs. Mikael Penfors:          and Michael Stich vs. Thomas Muster:     After the Kiwi match FINALLY had finished, the kids cheering group for Michael appeared to cheer him on .... Michael was there, noticed them and was like : " There you are, FINALLY .... Where have you been, HE (pointing at Muster) had his cheering group all the match long         After this match, the Rafa - Carlos match finally started :         And after the last match on Centre Court from friday, at around 10pm, we could finally have the bye bye dinner for Alex, who was leaving on Saturday |

On saturday my camera (and my shoulder, lol  ) had a day off , so this is the last day, of a wonderful tournament and the best (all finals) had yet to come! Both in doubed singles, the nr.1 and nr.2 were facing eachother ;D. After a nice party night on saturday (or better said early sunday morning) I couldn't sleep out long ( Damn that stupid wake up early rhytm  ) so was pretty early at the stadium already..... Both Rafa and Roger were training for the upcoming Fedal final .... First up: Rafa, in shorts ... At first it was almost a "private" practice for me, but that was for a very short period of time                      His practice was finished and now the poor guy had to find his way through the whole crowd that was waiting for him to get an autograph or picture from/with him .....     Roger was next, on the court next to Rafa's ....             And then the finals: First, the Black Rock one with Michael Stich as the winner over Marc-Kevin Gollner:         followed by the Doubles "dream" final: The Bryan Brothers vs. Nenad and Daniel :          Wit Nenad and Daniel as the winners ;D:        And then there was the dream singles final .... Rafael Nadal, who secured his nr.2 spot in the rankings by defeating Novak in the superb semifinal match, vs. Roger Federer, the winner of the tournament last year .....                 And the WINNER is: Rafael Nadal (Vamos Rafa, Vamos Rafa,Vamos Vamos Vamos Rafa) ;D :                    And that was it, the last day, last final of the Hamburg Masters week 2008 by me! Fantastics creature Fransje!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D nice picsssssssssssssss............. and indeed, u captured some of the best moment----eg: Marat --de best on earth, big armed Moya and shirtless mitya , Igor the blondie etc etc.......... love it love it love it evvvvvvvvvvvvvery much!!!!! Had i menetioned that while enjoying the matches on TV, also glad to see you amazing ladies being cheer leaders ;D  Thanks heaps for sharing!!!! Glad u had a wonderful time!!!!! chhers..... p.s. one comment on Mitya, i bet he looks better if he could kindly shave his beautiful face now he looks like a Pirat |
